I enjoy MMOs, and multiplayer games in general. I enjoy reading, and I have written a few novels.

I work in the field of Avation. I am also a part time author.
  1. New carrot? Bigger number next to your name? Because they have always added +5 levels with an xpac? In all seriousness, it makes more logical sense if your character has to "grow in power" and complete a story in order to engage in "end game" content. Generally I prefer +10 level jumps in xpacs for MMOs, but SWTOR has been doing the +5 thing the whole time and it honestly feels fine for their Xpac sizes. As a side note, I want a diamond character flair for hitting level 75, cuz you know wookies or something
  2. You can try both... you can get that option to show up, if you want to know more (not that it completely goes over well but hey a guy can try ) I personally Like Vette the most out of the Sith Warrior companions, and she does come back in the later xpacs too if that is important to you (I'm not sure if Jaesa has shown back up or not TBH).
  3. Yes, I would love for a mini game, pokemon style battling (like what wow has), minor buffs (like what Runescape does), or even something as simple as the pets being more interactive like being able to pet them, make them dance, have them point or be used as a pointer, or make them fetch things (toys not loot, although loot fetching would be nice too). They are just so small, and hard to really see a stand out one that someone might have following them. Unless there is a reason for a player to actually walk around with or use them they'll likely be hidden numbers to know how rare a pet really is since no one will know how many active players got in on that promotion, or got it as a drop off of X, or spent $$$, etc. Those are just a few ideas and reasons, I think this would help flesh out the more causal side of things to chase in game. I love having little things to do, but pet collecting with nothing but them standing around just doesn't seem like an engaging thing to me.
  4. DISCLAIMER: I don't heal group content often, but I do play sawbones as my main spec and have used it while doing all solo content in the game. Well I'm assuming you mean at the level you have all your abilities? I guess some general advice might be helpful. I don't remember what any of them are called, but I can give you what information I have. make sure you have your HoT on an easy to remember key (the one that puts a slow release medpack on your target). keep in mind most of our heals are a cast time so be sure to cast the low energy one in advance of needing it. I believe one of those casted ones will also proc another ability to become an instant heal, so be sure to utilize that in heavy damage scenarios. For group damage be sure to have the aoe healing ready as well. I believe a "basic" healing rotation can be as little as 4 keys, but "basic expanded" would be 7 (to include aoe and cleanse). I recommend keeping the direct channel heal ready too, this is sort of my default heal when the tank is taking damage but I already have a HoT on them and they don't need bigger chunky heals. Our roll gives us stacks of upperhand (I think), which enables a powerful heal (instant I think) to be used, so keep that in mind if things get too dicey. Sorry I can't be more help, perhaps someone can give you more specific pointers but this should at least get you started. I can only say experiment, and find what works for you, the above is more of guidelines rather than rules. I am currently not much of an authority on sawbones healing sadly, but I'll be playing it a lot over the summer so I might be by the time the xpac launches lol
  5. That is a fair workaround. I have had the same issue/bug but in a slightly more distracting way. I sent the default active follower on a crewskill mission, then summoned another follower. Every time I went to a loading screen, the follower I had active would be dismissed, and the default was attempted to be re-summoned, but of course couldn't be since he was off on a crewskill mission. Then to re-summon I would actually have to summon the new one twice for him to show up. A related bug was in the ossus planet it said I had "no followers" so I couldn't run any crewskills from the planet, they probably didn't want people summoning in their old companions on the missions or something, but it was a bit "inconvenient" to not be able to run missions from the planet.
