  1. Yes its doable, i have done it four times now twice on my sent and twice on a commando dps. It takes the heal mech for the boss off the table soloing it, and you can just wear him down, work the koltos, and avoid the lightning. Then just stay out the red on the final burn phase.
  2. Its the Darmarmu effect Disney thought it would be nice to add some Marvel to the game
  3. I know most of us long time players just spacebar through the cutscenes of most flashpoints, but I was curious if there are any that you will still take the time to look at that you really enjoy for whatever reason. Here are a few of the ones that I will still take the time to look at: 1, Before final boss on Rishi, love the stroll of the group as they wade into the final fight always reminds me of tombstone. 2. Before first boss on Manaan (female character) call me weird but the startled flinch and turn around is quite sexy. 3. Arkis Wode on False Emperor and his anger after you have disabled his weapons and he spins around and spouts off "Because of You!!!!!" 4. Final cutscene on Mando Raiders when you are deciding the fate of the workers in the cargo bay and the guy in the middle stands up from his crouch and then just stands there staring at the boxes doing nothing reminds me of former co workers. There are others but enough for now maybe you can share some of your memorable ones. "I'm not afraid of you", ..... "then you will die braver than most "
  4. This one last night, first hit group finder and get AOT tactical its all level 60's a scoundrel healer that I've ran with before another commando healer a DPS Guardian and me a sentinel. This turned into a speed run and for the most part everything went well, the guardian was a little trigger happy and in a rush but not a problem, hey we got two healers right, except the commando never threw out any heals only the scoundrel, and since i know him i whisper to him about the commando and he just kind of laughs it off so i say hey no big deal we finish up no one died we all part ways and i return to the fleet. A few minutes later two friends, one a commando tank and a dps sage want to do a hard mode so we group and hit the queue get Rakata and , guess who we get as a healer, yep that same commando.I whisper to the tank about what had happened in th previous FP with this commando and he ask should we kick him , but I don't like kicking people before giving them a chance but i am concerned about this healer. So we set of ,we bypass the first set of cats and go under the bridge the tank and the other dps trailing behind still on the beach, the healer aggros the mobs so we engage and I get no heals and the commando quickly goes down so you know what happens to me by this time the other two see whats happening and run right into the cats trying to get to us and they wipe too. Now i have done this flashpoint in HM many times 16/25 and have never wiped that early, but we regroup, buff up, and start again we hit the next mob and this time we get some heals but they are coming really late and really slow, so slow that the tank almost eats it and this is a trash mob. In chat I ask to bypass the next sets of mobs which we get by the first but then after making it through the water over the rocks and hitting the other beach of course the healer aggros that mob we turn back finish them off and continue again with the heals coming late and slow. Next set of cats same thing , a pattern is starting to emerge, I just keep saying in chat "OH BOY " . This brings us to the war chief and rancor and here is where it gets hilarious ( I have to keep a sense of humor about these things so i don't say things I shouldn't say to less than ideal players, even at 60 some are still learning the game and this was a hard mode) i stop and switch my utility points so that my expunging camo will help me just in case I get pinned by the chiefs fire, since the tank will be wrangling the rancor we need to take down the chief , so we engage and of course the chief makes a beeline for the healer the other dps and myself start burning the chief i am trying to keep moving so he doesn't pin me that works for awhile but a slap from the rancor puts me up against the wall and the chief is right there, i hit my camo and break free, and keep burning all the while chasing the chief while he chases the healer, who obviously is so concerned about evading the chief , no heals are being made and they quickly go down , followed by the tank and the other dps so i'm left alone with the rancor and the chief WIPE!!! We regroup again and mention that the healer will need to cleanse at least one of us since the cooldown on some of our personal cleansers is too long to last the whole fight, by now the tank is getting frustrated and once we get back to the arena and are set he asked the healer for a ready check since they are group lead, the healer types in chat "OK GO!!" , obviously not knowing what the tank meant , I almost choke on my drink from laughing, needless to say we wiped three more times and that was it for me I was hungry and had already experienced enough frustration that evening (see post in you got bad gear) I apologized to the tank and other dps and quit group which i hate doing.
  5. Last night a study in frustration or i got trolled. Zoning into republic fleet see a Maelstrom Prison request, i try to be a good guy and ask is he after the HK part, since I've taken several people on speed runs to claim the part at the end usually no bonuses, we bypass bosses we can, and get it done , but his reply "what part" he says he is a returning player and just wants to do the fp and can't get help. So i say sure meet me on the Telos and we set off i break out Doc to keep him alive, because even though he is level 42 sentinel and this is story mode, in examining his gear he has a mix of gear with aim and cunning all over the place. We hit a few bosses and nice robe drops with the proper mods for his class and i advise him to put it on, and just mention nicely that aim and cunning will do nothing for a sent but get him in trouble with hard bosses. He says he appreciates my advise and i tell him after the flashpoint ill "hook him up" with some decent gear and mods, since i too am a sent with all 198 gear except my relics and mainhand hilt. We finish up and head back to the fleet where i "introduce " him to adaptive gear, he had some on but the mods were for level 33 so he had never upgraded . So i hit GTN buy implants and earpiece adaptive wrists, legs, waist , and boots, for him (I had people early on do the same for me when i was learning the game, maybe not to this extent , but i try to pay it forward) also two power crystals at 275K a pop plus using my basic comms to get him all the proper mods for our class and his level. I then take him to the modification station and explain how to upgrade his stuff. Throughout the whole he was very grateful and i tell him just to help others when he get the chance after he learns the game, i then help him with his watchman utility points so he can be more effective when engaging enemies. All is going well and i get another whisper from a guy asking about token gear and set bonuses, so i leave the sent at the mod station, taking one last inspection to see that he is now starting to have the right stats. I group with the other guy and we discuss set bonuses and what effect changing mods will have on the set and we finish up. I then by chance come across the sent at the commendations mod vendor and I whisper asking hows it going he says he is buying more mods. I do a quick inspection and he has aim cunning and will power mods all over the place again, I ask him what happened, he gives me this is no biggy and that he is going to sell this gear anyway soon. Like I said i try to be a nice guy, so i tell him hey its your game bro i was just trying to help and move on..... a whole 45 mins wasted.
