Actually, now that I've played a little bit, I think I can clarify my post into a few questions: 1. Is Pyro the best leveling spec from 50-55? If not, which would you suggest? 2. Which companion would best support the spec you suggest for #1 above? 3. What is the best skill rotation for the spec you suggested for #1 above? 4. Is there any crafted or easily-acquirable gear that I should try to get right now before I start the 50-55 grind (I'm wearing decent lvl 50 gear from 1.0)? 5. Any other advice/suggestions?

OK, so I played in beta, leveled to 50 on my powertech, and quit (about 2-3 months after launch.) I was wondering if anyone would have any advice or steps to follow in order to get back into the game. I found a good thread here for leveling with a Pyro spec, so I figured I'd try that route; however, if there are other suggestions, I'd love to hear them! What's the best companion for leveling 50-55? Are there any special quests or items I should try to get at 50 that might not have been around when I left? Etc..etc...

The problem is that they screwed up the leveling curve. It's that simple. The first hardcores should be reaching 50 about right now, not a month ago. That means that most people would still be playing 1-49 content. That would give Bioware another month or two to start releasing/fixing endgame (which is what most mmos do.) Bioware blew it. There's just no other way to put it. I'm not sure why they didn't send someone to do research at other mmo companies, but honestly I get the feeling that they thought this game would be no different from their other game releases: we would play happily while we wait on their patches and DLC.

The game is designed so that each account can only play one character at a time. As far as I know, this is how pretty much any game that requires a login works. I think that this is pretty logical to most people. I don't think I've ever heard of someone thinking that that they were going to get to play more than one character (from the same account) at the same time.

I'm going to admit to you all that I'm utterly amazed that the thought of asking this amazes me given everything else that needs to be fixed and/or added to this game. Seriously, 'chat bubbles'? I can make a list of 50 things to do and that would still not make it on the list. No offense, truly ..I'm just amazed.

What mmo are you playing? I know there are a couple (EVE, for example); however, most of the major ones are significantly easier: EQ, EQ2, WOW, Aion, Rift, etc..etc..

I can make a list of about 100 things that are more important than anything related to game artwork right now. Sorry, but that's my feedback. I sincerely WISH the game were in a state where we could be thinking about things like this, but right now it's just not the time. And, yes, I know different people do art and different people fix bugs/code features/etc. Frankly, I think they should all be laid-off for about a year and hire about 5 more C++ coders to get this game where it needs to be. (And don't get me started on the money wasted on voice acting...)

L o l @ "You 50s" Seriously, how can you NOT be 50 by this point? Believe me, at this point most of the people are not those that "rushed" to 50, they probably just played normally and didn't play any alts. It's way past the point of accusing people of 'rushing to 50'. It makes you look out-of-touch with reality.

Find a posting where I asked for a special bracket. I had been saying since 1.1 was announced that the queues were going to suck and make it a real drag getting into warzones. "You 50s" ...that made me laugh btw.

We really need to either fix the warzone queues (they're just too long right now, even during prime times) ...or else, change the daily to "win 1 warzone" instead of "win 3 warzones". Winning 3 warzones, in this new paradigm, is not only difficult...it takes forever.

Can we get a checkbox for this in the warzone UI? It's really upsetting, as a level 50, to wait in this ridiculous queue and then join a warzone with 5 minutes to go and no hope of winning.

I'm all for this, and I think it's the best solution. Fair is best, we should not be competing with other players for luck with the RNG. It's just stupid. Either everyone gets a bonus item in a bag, or no one does -- that's what I say.

It was working for a while, and they actually posted to say that it was enabled ..however, you're right, it's gone today again. I don't get anything about these forums. It's like ghetto forums. You'd think we were playing a game by a poor independent game company that couldn't afford better...
