  1. Idk if i should say it, it may screw up your reputation....more than it already is. You lost to cheese and sheltun twice before you actually won and that was because you got a lucky door and they were both below 50% when you got to them.
  2. There was also a set of free pvp recruit gear, but those so called pvers were too dumb to equip it, that's why bolster was implemented.
  3. Since 1.4 I've been playing focus spec on my sent, not because I want to, but because other specs are just not viable for pvp. First, some parses. All parses done on ops dummy, without inspiration, adrenals and on-click relics. Watchman: 2344 Combat: 2275 Focus: 2260 As you can see, Combat and Focus are both very close. Either I'm doing something very wrong or combat needs some love. What do the numbers show exactly? They show that for PvP focus will get the top damage of all 3 almost every time. Watchman has the highest parse, but: Dots are ~40% of total damage and can be cleansed by anyone (physical) - that alone with cut your dps by a LOT. The awesome ramp-up time of 40 sec (if i remember correclty) for 4 stacks of merciless. Got stunned when your stacks are about to run out? Start from 0 again, In 2.0 the damage increase to dots from Plasma Blades got nerfed to 2/4/6% from 5/10/15%. 1 focus on crit when hitting a burning target coupled with the 2.0 crit nerf sounds more like sarcasm than something good. 5% reduced damage on target from burns is useless for group pvp - tanks are going to use their abilities that have the same effect, and since they don't stack...yea. Combat has higher dps parse than Focus, but: The RNG of Hand of Justice and Opportune Attack is SLIGHTLY annoying: "I'm going to use blade rush to get Opportune Attack" . . . "LOL HAND OF JUSTICE UMAD" In other words, hand of justice ninja-procs a lot (i.e. when your precision isn't on cooldown) As a side note, Hand of Justice actually has a higher (45%) chance to be triggered than Opportune Attack (30%) Alacrity changes and Zen changes in Ataru are a noticable nerf to focus management. How about this: Ataru's Zen also causes attacks that consume focus to cost 1 less focus, and attacks that generate focus generate 1 additional focus (or pick one). And the most important thing that makes me want to throw my monitor out of the window: almost every single time after using precision I get stunned. Since hoping for actual resolve changes is pretty worthless (we've been asking for them since the game came out), the only solution to this would be making preicision work like overload saber - precision on use gives you 4 stacks, each attack gets 100% armor penetration and consumes 1 stack. No rate limit, stacks up to 8 times so if you get hand of justice right after first precision, you can use it straight away without wasting anything. And one more important thing that seemed to had gone unnoticed - the change to opportune attack could be classified as a damage nerf. Before, Opportune Attack was giving 10% more damage to the next Blade Storm OR Blade Rush. So if you got lucky, it was for example, possible to do 3 blade rushes and a blade storm all with 10% more damage. To offset this, 1 idea would be to make Hand of Justice increase the damage dealt by Blade Rush and Blade Storm by 1/2/3% (3% more constat vs 10% more with 30% chance, should be around the same). Something to increase the crit chance of blade rush would also be nice, since the 2.0 crit nerf hit this spec quite a bit. Focus, the lowest parse on the dummy, the highest damage in a warzone The 15% surge on everything instad of 30% surge on force wasn't really that much of a nerf. Has the most crit increases - auto crit on biggest hitting ability (smash), +6% on force (blade storm, force exhaustion), +7.5% on slash and dispatch Out of 3 biggest hitting abilities (merc slash for watchman, blade storm for combat, smash for...smash), smash is the hardest hitting one and is the only of the 3 that is an aoe. Out of all 3 specs, focus is the only one that let's you leap to an enemy in cover and leap when rooted Out of all 3 specs, focus is the only one in which I didn't have to use auto attack (not even once) while doing the parses. Out of all 3 specs, focus has the most abilities that reliably crit for over 5k damage - smash, blade storm, exhaustion (add it up) and with zealous leap being pretty close. "Did I just read another smash op thread?" No. Smash isn't really op now, compared to other classes. It does however seem op, when compared to other sentinel specs (for pvp at least). Not because smash is op, but because the other 2 specs are underperforming in pvp.
  4. Awesome bolster, i get way more stats in the new pve gear than the new pvp gear and my expertise gets bolstered to almost the same as pvp gear, so why should i get pvp gear? BW it's just messing up with all hardcore pvpers and if they don't fix it many of them are going to quit this game.
  5. I love how bw is doing everything to please casuals and leaving hardcore players behind. Lvl 55 pvp is a joke now, gg bw. You're going to loose a lot of subs with this.

PLEASE REMOVE ALL PREMADES FROM LVL 50, THEY SO BAD. 2X 3man premade + 2man premade (Ny'sha and Gosia) ---> Clicky I would rather solo queue if it meant that i wouldn't get people that started chopping their own legs off trying to unsheathe their lightsabers (had to steal this line from someone, it's so epic ) AND THEY COME IN 2x 3MAN PREMADES. PLEASE SAVE ME NOW!!!!!!!

    Scripts in PVP

    Seriously, a script doesn't think, only follows "orders" and every single situation requires a different way of acting, maybe those scripts can can make you better than the average players (which are really bad in this game), but it will never make you better than a good player who actually thinks and reacts fast.
  8. Considering that gunslingers are more OP than smashers on PTS, it's not really surprising.

No serious team will take a person that they don't know for ranked games, and the only people doing ranked on PTS are the people that do ranked in they home server, which means that the teams are formed and they won't replace one of their players easily. Also you said that PTS is for testing stuff and you are right, but when it comes to ranked we aren't doing it for testing, we are doing it because it's the only way of playing against teams from other servers. If no guild from ToFN is going to do ranked on PTS it just show that they are afraid of losing against other teams. Someone said they can't be bother to get augments and gear, but you can copy your character over and over to get gear, as for augments if you don't want to craft them yourself, you can buy some from GTN or ask people to make them, this is not an excuse to not do ranked.

  14. Why pacify does nothing on healers? Pacify/Obfuscate only works on ranged and melee attacks and smash is force, it still works on every other ability of smashers other than smash and force scream. For for some reason my scoundrel healer spends more time pacified than any of my dps friends who actually use weapon damage, which is kinda hilarious. Is not that i mind, my heals won't miss anyway People should really start reading the description of a skill before using it.
