  1. Instead of posting my ideas I'll post a link to a thread where I posted ideas forever ago. I think some of these have been rehashed in this thread but I can't find the willpower to sort through 84 pages and pick out which ones have already been mentioned. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=649874
  2. If he's level 50 you group with him and run him through dailies, makeb story and/or oricon story. Levels 50-55 can be obtained in a day with persistence. You then giggle at his misfortune when he queues as a fresh 55 and repeatedly melts.

    A PvP a Day...

Hey DomiSotto. If you're playing on Harbinger my wife and I have a couple of toons pub side pre-55 and 55. She's quite good at Sorc/sage dps in warzones and I used to heal on mine in between deaths back in the day. If you're on during APAC times (which it seemed like in one of your posts) we can form a group and get on team speak and give you tips in real time. If you play mostly American prime time we can link up on weekends. If interested you can either post or PM me the sage's name and what times you play and I'll add you to the appropriate friends list. If not, no hard feelings!
  4. Yeah. Let me buy a party jawa. Please? My wife flaunts hers all the time knowing I can't obtain one.
  5. You mean, besides roflstomping pugs? ;D Sure, why not? Valor is meaningless anyway, give 'em bonus valor! Or, maybe a small (read, SMALL as in very very small) expertise bonus? Or even a hp buff? I dunno, something. PVP needs love too.
  6. I'd settle for a checkbox. Just a "Hey, read this thread and sent an e-mail to whoever it concerns!" Who'd flame the devs? Honestly, I'd like to think better of the swtor forums community. [/sarcasm]
  7. Yes. Awesome. And while we're at it, can my alts be automatically on my friend list? So that if they're in different guilds I don't have to manually add them to each character's list so I can mail myself things without typo-mailing a bunch of augments to random dude with an extra 'e' in his name. That'd be great. That, or legacy banks.
  8. Yeah, Bioware alluded to this once upon a time, how neutral characters wouldn't get left in the dust until level 50. Unfortunately I don't think it ever made it past allusion. Alas.
  9. Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Personally, I space bar through most dialogue these days and will quickly drop a quest if I get one I don't want. But I can see the allure for this, now that intentions have been clarified.
  10. Possibly the best necro thread ever. We can only hope there's more on the horizon for space missions. I'd love to see free roaming space missions. Would give a whole new dynamic to the game. Even rp-server people would love this, giving their smugglers a chance to, you know, smuggle. I envision a very Firefly-esque environment where players are pirates, smugglers, bounty hunters, legit traders, private escorts, etc. Free-roam space sims are wildly entertaining and their inclusion in the swtor franchise would go a long way to round out the experience for most players.
  11. So, after I discovered this nifty forum full of ideas, some good others not so good, I soon started delving deeper into the pages. After fifteen pages, I noticed a trend... no bioware posts! Actually, that's an exaggeration. There was one. So I have to wonder, how difficult or expensive would it be to hire someone to cruise through a forum daily to look for ideas and pass them along? If bioware does do this, how difficult would it be to let players know it's happening? Here's an example, the actual post from a bioware employee that I found: This. Was that so difficult? Now the players know that their ideas have been read, development consulted, and their input was appreciated. If bioware has no one to do this, I can readily submit an application. There's no need for me to come to the office, I can do this job from home. You need never know what I look like. I believe my email address, account number and routing number the only facets of my life you would need to be familiar with. My fee would be modest, hardly a dent in the cartel market income I'm sure. Plus, you'll get a portion of it back from my subscription fee! Anywho, all joking aside, I think one "forum cruiser" for each forum would not be too hard to manage. Edit: Kudos to you, Allison!
  12. This or something like it. I responded to your other thread and clearly supported increased daily and weekly quests, might as well throw my name on here too!
  13. Eh, not the customer, in this case, but the customer"s". One little sub with a million ideas can get buried under weight of a million subs repeating the same single idea. But it's nice to think I matter, thank you.
  14. You mean on the map? Because if you hover over the icon, it clearly displays what quest the symbol is referring to. Heroics are pretty easy to distinguish, they say: "Heroic".
  15. I see it as a simple cycling algorithm that parses through each piece of equipment and checks for expertise. Has expertise? Cool. Move on. No Expertise. Ok, What does it have? Say it has Str, End, Power, Surge (in that order, dps warrior spec of some nature). Also, for the most complicated scenario, a str augment. Algorithm would go: "On this gear the higher of the two primary stats is str so that's the main stat. Recruit level str is X as main stat on a piece of gear. So that's what pvp will use. Second stat is End. Recruit level for lower primary stat is Y. Power is higher than surge. So limit of the higher secondary stat is A. The lower secondary stat is B. So, rather than using the stats present, player will have Str X, End Y, Power A, Surge B, Expertise = (Recruit Value). Now do an augment check. Yes? What stats? Str and end? Ok, update to Str = X+augment, End = Y+augment, Power = A, Surge = B, Exp = (Recruit Value). Granted, real code would most likely have to keep track of each main stat and secondary stat to allow for augments that add to stats not present on the item itself (acc augments or something that appear only on a few pieces of gear). But this would be the basic idea. Best part is that in order to upgrade the bolster the developers would need to replace only a few static numbers: high primary, low primary, high secondary, and low secondary and the flat expertise value.
