  1. It's the same in EVERY MMO.... just sayin'.
  2. Female officers in the Empire are referred to as "Sir". Mr. Remus was obviously confused.
  3. To answer this question - I haven't done a single space mission since my second toon hit 50. Why? Simple answer: The space missions feel irrelevant once you first hit 50. What good does a pimped-out ship do if I can't use it in PVP or group PVE? Also - it's not like a nearby player can inspect me and see that my ship has full Artifact Grade 5 gear.
  4. First off - I've been a constant sub since launch, very pleased with the game as of right now, but not the direction it's been heading as of late. It seems the only way I derive enjoyment from the game nowadays is to actually play it and not read what's being said about it. Secondly, and lastly, one of my main gripes with the community team right now is the lack of activity on the Dev Tracker.. This is one of the main places I check throughout the day for updated info - not Twitter, not Facebook, and certainly not a third-party fansite. I understand that sometimes there is not much to announce other than maintenance outages or server disruptions - That's OK. I'm fine with that. What I am NOT fine with is the lack of actual interaction with the subscribers. It doesn't have to be anything game-related, but I'd feel a lot better if the community team took the time to interact on the forums with the people who help pay the bills.
  5. I hope you don't mind if I answer your question with a question of my own.. Does Quinn provide a level of healing that has a noticeable impact on minimizing your downtime between mobs? For example, with my 50 Marauder, Quinn (In a mix of Columi, Tionese, and Recruit Combat Medic gear) does a pretty good job at keeping me alive when taking on Elites and weaker. In group settings, his Carbonite spray comes in handy with keeping a mob corralled until I can get to it. I can bounce from group to group with almost no downtime at all. When it comes to the Immortal Juggernaut that I am leveling (24 as of right now) Quinn shines even brighter, and compliments my tank perfectly. I don't die.. period. I can solo Champions and pull multiple groups of mobs simultaneously. So more or less, once you get Quinn to the point where he keeps you alive like that, pat yourself on the back... and roll on that IA/Smuggler gear that no one appears to want.
  6. I think Jango Fett is mad that Mace Windu beats him all the time.
  7. I think I may have found a fix to my issue... I had my strafe buttons bound to Shift+A and Shift+D, for left and right, respectively.. After reading this thread, I played a game of Huttball and experienced the same issue, strafing left uncontrollably. I attempted the fix of pressing Shift+A to register a "Key-Up" event, and my marauder righted himself. It hit me.. I use Shift as a modifier for many of my keybindings.. when I combine that with the fact that I am almost constantly moving as a melee DPS, it's all too likely and predictable that I would find myself in that situation, given the info here. I went into my bindings at the next available opportunity and unbound Strafe Left and Strafe Right completely. It's still too early to tell definitively if it's fixed, but it looks promising.
  8. I've had this bug since before launch as well, mostly on my marauder during PVP, but I've seen it on other characters since.. Only fix I know is to unbind autorun (or bind it, doesnt matter) and get back in the game. Reported it several times and was ultimately told to run the repair tool (did that) and reset all my keybindings, which is NOT an option. They can have my sub before I do that. I've never seen this in WoW btw.
  9. You get mad when they don't patch an issue, but then get mad when they take the servers down to fix said issue... Confused poster is confused...
  10. This... you're my new favorite person. Also, it's 10 minutes to 9AM on the East Coast... go have some breakfast guys, and chill out.
  11. Bump - this happens to my Marauder all the time. In-Game CS has been most unhelpful trying to get this fixed.
  12. I really think this is a low priority issue, so I don't mind giving up a head or two if it means we get ahead on the development schedule of other pressing matters. (hey, I tried) Personally, the only companion that I've seen affected by this issue has been Gault on my mercenary. It really doesn't matter to me, because I use Torian and only pull Gault out when I have a gift for him.
  13. I've been saying this for quite sometime, and wholeheartedly agree. I'm relatively new to the MMO genre (2 years playing WoW) and my guild is even newer than that, the average player in my guild had no previous MMO experience to begin with. We collectively recognize that there are some things that need to be done on the front end soon such as server transfers and the like, but we're enjoying the game as it is right now. It's browsing these forums that make my day turn just a bit on the crap side. BTW Lunga... Tou-effing-che. LOL
  14. The fact that the quoted rage-filled post was the first thing I read after Joveth posted makes it seem very likely to me. I can't claim to know what the dev's motivation for posting what they do, when they do, as I am neither an employee of Bioware or psychic. But really, would YOU want to come here and try to deal with that? Kudos to the devs for it. In my opinion, and SWTOR isn't the only place I've seen it, but the sense of entitlement that seems to have gripped gamers (including myself at times, I'm no exception) nowadays is both astounding and sickening. Game's been out for what, 5 months? And people are treating it like Bioware's had years to fix things with no luck. Look at it from a programmer's point of view... this game is massive, and I can imagine a de-compile dump containing hundreds of thousands, if not millions of lines of code. But we're all wanting different features "now now now", and if we don't get it "now now now", it turns into "F U BIO I UNSUBBED". And if you do happen to get it "now now now", and it's not EXACTLY the way that a small subset of your playerbase wanted it, it turns into "F U BIO I UNSUBBED". Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  15. And this is EXACTLY why dev's don't often post here... Honestly, if you hate the game that bad, why don't you A: unsub if you've already done so, B: edit your hosts file so that your computer is INCAPABLE of navigating to SWTOR.com, and C: go play something else?
