  1. Hmm, I healed this boss without any difficulty. But I seem to use slightly different healing tactics than you. I would say I outright disagree with using Surgical Probe + Kolto Infusion as viable single target healing. Here's what I do: Pre hot the whole group with 2x Kolto Probe. If you do this right you get time to get off 3 full duration diagnostic scans or other casts before needing to cycle through the whole group refreshing the stacks. Should the raid take extra damage I throw a Recuperative Nanotech on them then go back to the rotation. I pretty much try to exclusively use diagnostic scan on the tank, letting the HoTs heal the raid, but in the event I do need to single target heal someone I will use Kolto Injection for the lower energy & faster cast time, cos I usually have 2x TA at all times cos of the Probe rolling on everyone. Basically I find it's all about 2x Probes on everyone, then using your 4-5 seconds of cast time wisely to manage energy / health pools. Don't forget to spam shield probe on yourself to minimise inc damage. Hope that helped.
  2. Hi all. I'm an experienced MMO healer & I levelled Operative with the express intent of being a healer in end game. I recently dinged 50 and have been healing hard mode flashpoints etc. it's going pretty well, I mean I can see why someone unused to triage healing in MMO's would struggle & I'm sure we do have a harder time of things than say a sorcerer does, as I've been reading about, but with practice you can succeed. My main difficulties seem to be in keeping track of so many things at once that my eyes are clicking back and forth all over the place. Another thread on this forum likened it to a video of a man keeping up many spinning plates, which is what it feels like tbh. My question is, without addons & with the UI being how it is atm, is there anyway at all of making tracking Kolto Probe on people easier? And tracking TA & Stim Boost etc? What I feel like I want is either bars or icons on my operation frames with spiral duration timers so I can see when to refresh Kolto Probe on people to keep it rollin at 2 stacks. The only assistance Bioware seems to have given us is making the character giggle everytime Kolto Probe procs a TA. It's kinda useful so I know when I can refresh Stim Boost or use Surgical Probe or Infusion but it feels a rather inelegant way of doing this. We definitely need some UI support here. Thoughts? Ps. Please don't turn this into a "Zomg stop QQ. Operatives are fine!" or "Omg our damage got nerfed /wrists"
  3. People on these forums are extremely talented at missing the point by impressively large margins. I'm sure I could go & buy epic gear for her, but the question I'm looking for an answer to is why, when she has over 3 times the endurance I do, she only has ~100 more hp. And why, when she should be taking less damage than me she regularly seems to be taking more.
  4. Currently I am a level 44 Operative. Some stat comparisons: Endurance - Me (203) Kaliyo (737) Armour - Me (2618) Kaliyo (2605) Damage Reduction - Me (21.43%) Kaliyo (21.34%) Defensive Blocks / Dodges etc - Me (5% dodge chance) Kaliyo (8.81% dodge, 27.24% shield chance, 21.13% shield absorption) So despite these stats and her having way more endurance than me I have 10225 hp & she only has 10390 hp. Also she seems to take as much damage as me if not more & I honestly think a more reliable tank would be a piece of wet tissue paper. Sense, this makes none. Anyone know why Kaliyo is just so bad, despite her stats making it seem like she shouldn't be?
  5. It seemed to me that Concealment was the pvp spec & levelling spec, whilst lethality was the PvE Operations Spec. Without damage meters or combat logs it's hard to confirm this, but it would seem to me that over a long PvE boss encounter lethality would perform better with DoT's ticking as long as you managed your energy correctly. Concealment looks too bursty for sustained dps.
