  1. That piece of junk Galaxies lasted 10 years and for several years after the game-ending NGE patch. This game will be around for years easily...
  2. Haha nice. So I'm getting the impression that most ppl don't use Vector...I didn't realize the chick was so much better.
  3. I'm level 32. I know the fight is bugged I could tell with the "cannot see target" messages, but I was talking about how hard he was period. I don't see how someone else can come with you since it opens an area on your ship map that they won't have...
  4. By the way...how many times do you actually have to fight him?
  5. Ok so it's not just that I suck I'm so glad!! Thanks for the advice guys I'll tackle him tonight.
  6. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this fight so I must suck. I'm on a healing spec, and I am fighting Darth Jadus on his ship. I stupidly chose to just outright fight him. I thought he was pretty hard, but I did finally defeat him. However, when you defeat him, he puts up a shield and says "I still live". After hitting a computer screen, Watcher Two says "Hit him now!" Turns out he resets and you have to fight him all over again! Plus he's harder! Plus there's more computer screens so I potentially have to fight him like 3 or 4 times!! I know I can respec into damage and maybe have a better shot (which I'm not sure of because I do have much better damage but I can't heal near as well and he can crush my companion in like 3 hits so I kind of need to heal). Anyone else find this guy to be a pain or do I just suck?
  7. Why? At least he was nice about it... sorry this game bores you, I don't quite know what level of perfection you were expecting in the first month but hey, good luck I'm going to go back and level my 2nd alt to 50
  8. Yeah really other than the lame-***** trolls that are never happy with anything in life, most of us agree that this game is a great starting point with an excellent story (it is very cool how each story intertwines with the others... the Siths seem to be the hammers of the Empire and when you are an Operative for example you see the reasons behind the quests the Siths are sent on) and the bugs will of course be fixed over time. Nawww never mind I'm wrong I'm sure Bioware will let the bugs just sit there and will never make a move to improve things like the UI and the Auction House and stuff. They are evil afterall and really want their paying customers to be as unhappy as possible.. Duh.
  9. Yeah I am kind of surprised the number of people who have SWTOR as their first MMO experience. Why most of them have to act like they are 20 years older than they are and have played every single video game ever made is beyond me...I guess to give their obvious trolling some credence... but it's so obvious when you say this is the worst launch ever that you are just giving away your age and lack of experience..
  10. Unfortunately many of the things that trol--err customers think are broken are just things they think should be in the game that aren't. For many of us, minus some obvious UI bugs, this game is near perfect and when I'm not playing it I wish I was!
  11. A troll isn't someone with constructive criticisms as you obviously are. I don't demean people with valued constructive complaints with the game such as the GTN auction house being broken or whatever. Like I said, the game is not perfect and I also know that my extreme love of SW and the story aspects are great for me and may not be for other people. It's true nowhere in the box does it say KOTOR 3 (which I think should be on the box with maybe a "a continuation of the popular 2003 RPG" or something, but it truly is a coninuation of a story I loved and I think it's awesome it brings in a ton of elements from those games. I disagree that you can't start from scratch and forget about refinements other games have made. Rift is a very good WoW clone but they made changes to how instances are done with several dual-role classes and having Quintuple-class spec options. But companies choose what direction they want to go and you as the customer either find all of these things that are in other MMOs and are happy or find they are missing and it's a dealbreaker. I think many of us longtime MMO players find some of the choices BW made refreshing... I like that you have to work for a group and it isn't a button press. I have found it does make the community more vocal. I also think that having real repercussions for decisions made to what class you are going to pursue are great and makes you really take the time to choose wisely. I just think that this current Nintendo generation can't stand decisions that have repercussions they want to be able to hit the reset button whenever they want to go back and take the other path automatically (which you still can but it costs).
  12. Not for me, I'll have at least three more stories to go through (I'll never be Republic until I'm totally done with the Empire) and hopefully by then there will be more 50's and endgame content compared to what there is now.
  13. I didn't even get it until I played long enough to get into the Star Forge story on my Operative... I think that the people ************ that the LFG tool isn't here or this or that WoW refinement is missing not only doesn't understand this is not WoW and the developers have made actual choices in the way this MMO will be different than previous games. That simple fact is missed by most of the trolls. But for me one of the most kick *** aspects of this game is the fact that it is a direct sequel to the excellent KOTOR series. I admit, I am easily entertained and I love Star Wars with a passion... I've read most of the books and comics for the Old Republic, so I know all the cities and to actually see them and interact with them is excellent. I felt the same way about WoW having played all the the RTS games, seeing Azeroth come to life was awesome. The people who are ************ care very little about the story and will be gone soon. For me, I have a very good story for eight characters plus a very fun (for me) online component for Flashpoints, buying and selling items and a neat little space sim minigame to boot! When I see QQ'ing it's always what this MMO doesn't have in relation to WoW or others, and I just don't think that was BW's intent. Some of these ************ will be listened to and BW will mistakenly try to satiate them (most of them are just unhappy no matter what and will never be happy with the game). But for me the game is already near perfect minus obvious bugs and flaws. Bottom line, the story for these eight characters is a direct sequel to a series I loved, the game looks great and is fun for me to play. I'm a member for the life of the game.
  14. In my experience it's all about the video card. What kind of memory does yours have? The rest of the stats look good.
  15. I know this is a boring answer but honestly any one of the 30 races you see in the original movie cantina would be fine by me... (forgive me I'm a Star Wars superfan but nowhere near enought o know all the race names) A Greedo dude, Hammerhead, the devil-lookin guy.. a TRANSDOSHEN for sure man I would love to make my BH a Transdoshen (Bossk lizard dude)... The race options are one complaint about the game I will jump on board with. Out of the 1000's of races in the SW universe we get "Cyborg"? Really?
