  1. Yeah, but there should be an option to repeat the mission on the outcome popup. When searching, I found that many people have requested this over the years, but it has never been addressed, let alone implemented. It's one of those small quality-of-life things that would add up to a lot of saved time and a lot less irritation at the UI.
  2. It would be amazing to have an "Accept and Repeat" option on the mission complete window when a companion finishes a gathering mission. Having to go through and find the mission again seems silly considering if that companion is the only one who is finished, odds are, you're going to tell them to do that same mission at least a few more times. Just having the option would be super handy for when you want to keep them going but don't have the time to go searching through the menu for that mission again because you're in a bad area or something.
  3. Not so sure if there is actual latency. I have seen no latency spikes.
  4. Eh, spoke too soon. Doing Ilum FP solo and it's laggy af. GPU load at 40%. Hooray, it's like going back to 2012!
  5. Temporarily turn your graphics settings down. My RX580 worked great on ultra last night; everything was choppy today with low latency, so I turned it down to "High," which made my GPU use drop from 90%+ to 30%. Put it on "Very High," and it went back up to 90%. Dropped Shadow Quality to "Low" and it's back at 70% and no lag anywhere but fleet. I remember having to make these same adjustments back just after launch using much, much older hardware. It shouldn't be necessary, and it wasn't needed last night, but today it makes a difference. Hopefully, they'll fix the problem.
  6. For instance, I'm trying to figure out what best to put on Iresso for tanking. For damage reduction, do I aim for defense? Absorption? Shield rating? A mix? What kind of mix? How much is "good enough"? For holding threat, do I go for critical? Power? Surge? Accuracy? What stats are best for DPS throughput, and to what point? Are there caps? I mean, I can easily enough look to see what each stat does, but that doesn't really tell me how effective it is in comparison to the other stats. It seems like most of it is just arbitrary, bigger is hopefully better, numbers. Will I get more overall damage from 200 force power or 100 crit? Will my tank hold aggro better with an additional 100 crit or 100 power? Those are just a few examples. Pretty much anything beyond the primary stat seems to be total guesswork to me, aside from doing something stupid like putting willpower on a melee tank. I feel like I'm missing some vital piece of information needed to correctly gear my characters and companions. There are a few "guides" out there, but they don't reference anything, and I know there's no combat logging, so I assume they're just guessing. If I'm missing something, please do tell. Or did Bioware seriously just give us a standard MMO arbitrary number mess without any way for us to tell what does what in the end?
  7. I think the load actually decreasing proves that it has nothing to do with the PC itself. Even a $250 Walmart HP should get to 100% load before frame rate suffers. If I was doing that, I'd say that I either needed a new video card or there were some fairly huge programming flaws...but low FPS and absurdly low GPU load, and only while walking in certain areas? That's just weird.
  8. Okay, more information. When standing still on the fleet, my GPU load will increase, as will my FPS. So, while walking around on the fleet, my GPU load actually goes down, along with the FPS. How bizarre.
  9. This only happens in a few places...most noticeably and consistently on board the Republic Fleet. I'll get as low as 10 FPS while, according to MSI Afterburner, my GPU load is only 20% or so. This is especially strange since, elsewhere in the game, my GPU load generally sits at around 40% while running anywhere from 40-80 FPS. My CPU barely ever crosses 50% usage and I'm only ever using 5GB at most of my 16GB of RAM. I just don't get why my FPS would be so low if my GPU isn't struggling. Is there some other possible bottleneck that I'm missing? If so, why is it only affecting me in certain places? Is this the "low FPS" that so many people are complaining about? I always figured they just had crap video cards or 2GB of RAM or something.
  10. As the game stands right now, getting groups for heroic quests can be nearly impossible. This really needs to be fixed. If I can run around on Balmorra for hours, over the span of two days, and not get a single response while LFG for five different heroic quests, then something is wrong. The little LFG flag for /who was an interesting idea, but seems to be completely useless. Either give us a better LFG system, with the ability to port to the area, or nerf the heroic areas so that we can do them solo. There is simply no reason for a game this young to deny its players so much of its content because of a non-existent LFG system.
  11. Have you somehow not used the incomplete UI? That's a neat trick. I guess you just look at the intro videos for hours?
  12. This is an excellent game. Unfortunately, it's wrapped up in a user interface that is nowhere near complete, or even really functional. It's a Lamborghini without a steering wheel. It's a million dollar mansion without a door. It's a computer with no keyboard. I have healed in every MMO that I've played, where healing was a thing, and this is the first that truly makes me feel crippled. No mouseover heals. No way to see debuffs without looking at the other side of my screen. No way to actually watch the fight while healing, since I'm staring at bars and cooldowns constantly. I'm only level 38, and I'm assuming that this will only get worse. Please, just tell us, the customers and players, that you're actually finishing this UI at some point in the very near future - that the user interface is priority #1. Or, at the very least, throw together an API so you can get free help in correcting this very obvious, game-breaking problem. I honestly can't see paying for another month of this frustration until there's a usable interface. I can tolerate all the bugs in the world, but I can't tolerate not being able to control my character.
  13. Try healing. On my monitor, the tank's health is about a foot away from the rest of the parties' bars, so if they get a debuff that happens to not be on the current target, oh well. I can't believe a game was released, at this point in the evolution of MMOs, from Bioware and EA, no less, without mouseover heals or macros of any kind. They couldn't have copied WoW's UI any more blatantly, yet they left off the parts that actually make it work.
  14. If these people who claim to have no troubles are actually not trolling, then I have to wonder if maybe sound only works correctly on very specific sound chips? It has nothing to do with the speakers, that much is obvious because the sound effects themselves are always there. It's something to do with the way the game interfaces with the sound chip. Maybe you few who have no problems all have the same sound card/chip?
  15. In my home, there are three very different computers, three different people, three different speaker setups, various Sith and Republic planets, and it's pretty much everywhere. Music randomly stops, sometimes never starts, ambient sound vanishes on occasion. I put in a bug report before release, and they sent me an email detailing how to update my video card drivers. I'm assuming they're just copying Blizz on this, too, and will probably fix the issue in a few months, but only after telling is it's all our fault for a while. Remember everyone, delete your *** and Interface folders! Edit: lol @ Bioware for censoring dubya-tee-eff
