A Clone, always looks exactly like your own character, for the unrepentant narcissist, or someone who just wants a pair of scantily clad twin's running around the cosmos. Legacy / Family member, I would imagine some work would have to go into making this work, much like the clone, but would be nifty to incorporate your legacy into this. A Gree, tentacles are cool, right? Gamorean Guard, this really goes without saying. I am kind of surprised it is not already a thing. Massassi Guard, as big as possible, because awesome. A Wookie that throws droid parts at the enemies, could be matched with a new vibro-blade, which is just a droid arm that flops around. A Friendly Attack Wampa, like the wookie, it could have a.... actually never mind. Dark Side Jawa, complete with little red eyes and a little black robe. While we are on the subject of Jawa, three Jawa in a trench coat.... what, don't look at me in that tone of voice. Force wielding Ewok, ok, I am going to be honest here, I am pro anything that is small and cute and wields the dark side of the force.

Before I throw these out there, I am sure that some folks have perfectly valid reasons why they may or may not support the the new non story companions such as the Akk Dog that recently came to the Cartel Market. I would rather not debate the validity of non-story companions in this thread, and more discuss some ideas folks had for other companions they would like to see. I will admit these ideas are a little empire/sith biased, that is just my personal preference though. That is a good point, losing your characters name after being established for so long would suck. I am just trying to throw out ideas, on what might be able to be done to bring the community together. Did you have any ideas on ways to improve that situation?

Fair enough, although, all of those names are pre-existing characters most of which don't exist in this time frame, if there is some rule about that, say on an RP server then I can see why that might be an issue. Did you have an idea on an effective way to address the naming issue if some kind of server merge or mega server occurred?

I am rooting for a mega server, maybe with an option to choose PvP PvE or Rp from a console on your ship, and considering the business model maybe a decoration version for your stronghold and an unlock for the cartel market. To address all the naming issues, maybe they could let us put a space in our names, some people have middle names, others might want to use a title like Eye of the Sarlacc or you know something else epic, Paladin of House <Legacy Name>, just throwing stuff out there. So yes there would be some naming conflicts but a whole new world of naming choices would become available., I wouldn't even be mad.

I started on a laid back RP realm ( from what I could tell less hardcore RP and more RP/PVE/PVP kinda group of people, good stuff for an MMO like this ) I leveled on a PvP server in WoW and having been on both sides of the fence of world pvp while trying to level, I wanted somthing a bit more laid back, as a change of pace. Excited about the possibility of a transfer, I got home from work to save my characters names on whichever realms they had available for transfer for my realm. All of my highest level characters names were taken on the only destination realm available to me. So I am like, whatever, I like my names, I like my community for the most part, I am going to chill here. This afternoon before I head out to work, I check to see if any new destination realms were available, just in case. EVERY available origin realm for my zone is going to the same desination realm, the same one where all my names are taken. So of course I am like, this really seems more like server mergers, and excuse me if I am attached to the names I have had for 50 levels, countless battles and so many epic duels, but I don't want to leave if I can't keep my characters intact. Say the majority of people do want to move, what happens to those of us who don't, are they going to shut down our servers eventually and if so are we going to be forced to move in that case and what will happen to our names and legacies? Can we come to some kind of alternative, such as some way we can get our first names associated to our legacy instead, allowing for multiple people with the same first name ( I mean that does happen right? ) Can we get an update on where this migration/transfer process is going from here?

Some Bantha PooDoo Nerf Herding Hutt Scum is taking level 50 characters names from origin servers ( at least mine ) and making characters on destination servers in order to sell the names back to their original owners, which is pretty close to extortion or exaction, this happened in WoW and now its happening here. I won't use this service because I am unable to keep the names I was attached too. I had alot of high hopes for this game, years of following development. Now, I just don't know.

What is this person going on about? In a Galaxy full of people, an individual cannot make up their own mind if they want to join one side or the other in a conflict, that's just bad story telling and completely unrealistic, even for somthing that isn't real. What about Humans, are they the only race in the universe that gets to choose republic or imperial? That's a little myopic, maby even xenophobic, don't you think? You have already stated that you were wanting to expand on the legacy system in future patches, are you going to be broadening the use of the legacy system such as making Legacy adaptive gear, companions or mini pets for PvE er's or Legacy PvP gear, mods, buffs, ect. for for PvP er's?

Don't all weapons in the game have a color crystal slot? That means your crafting skill is being used by everyone who wants a custom weapon of any kind through the majority of the current content( now they do need to release some new crystals to beef up this skill, granted). Also lets not forget Enhancements, arguably one of the most important mods slots as far as versitility of stats goes, is made by artificers, and is used in pretty much EVERY crafted or moddable piece of gear. Now you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with Endgame gear, well, crafted gear, in my experience, has always only been a means to an end and was not intended to replace the gear you got from hard modes, only get you closer to the point you need to be at, to get that end game gear. So lets point our laser's at something more constructive, like improving the things that we are already good at, give us more custom lightsabers, give us more color crystals, give us rare enhancements, offhands that actually provide a visual effect for your character ( wish list ) like a glow around your fist, lightning that occasionally flickers around your body , or, if your feeling really spiffy, and I know this is gimicky, but I am a sucker for pets, give us some BoE crafted pets, like floating crystals or relics, maby even a force ghost that follows you around!

A Patch called "Allies" would be a great time to introduce a new companion! There is a serious lack of viable combat ready droid companions in this game, what's the fix?!?!? DROID COMPANIONS FOR EVERYBODY!!!!!!!11ONE!

Agreed, they already have hours of voices for the various aliens and getting to growl at someone as a wookie would be awesome!
