  1. He definitely should do that, but we sure do make this look good
  2. It's only useful for building pulse generator charges before battle, otherwise I'd advise you to avoid using it for it high ammo cost / low dmg output.
  3. It's really a preference man. Do you want to tank more, or be a damage dealer?
  4. I play a plasma cell variant of tactics and love it! The burn from plasma cell is highly effective added with great AoE damage, hold the line, shock absorbers, etc. This is a great tree to consider, especially when you know how to play it effectively. With my spec, ammo management isn't easy, but you can make it work, especially in a war zone setting. I consistently deal top damage or close 2nd in war zones, most kills, and still give a good amount of protection. It takes awhile to truly master tactics, but more fun in my opinion. I've done all 3 trees and played exclusively assault for a long time. The big bursts and pretty numbers were fun, but I can do that and provide more support and functionality with my tactics build.
  5. It definitely isn't hard to put up some big numbers when you have the right support to be able to do so. Here are a few screenshots of a few wz's from the last couple of days where everything went right. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/717/exampleth.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/521/example2r.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/233/example3w.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/example4y.jpg/ I'm no pro and this isn't to show off, but to show some of the potential we have when we are backed up by the right kind of support. Assault is still fun! It does it's job of putting out pressure on other healers / heavy hitters. Also, I was a Tactics user for a long time, so this kind of dmg was done with full combat tech armor, no 4 piece eliminator.
  6. I love to dabble in many of the specs throughout our 3 trees. Each serves a purpose and hybrids provide a refreshing mix of neat aspects from each tree. As many have said, shield is still very viable given its role of ranking. Tactics offers a few builds that provide great support and utility and giving a good amount of dps. You don't see them as commonly as you used to, but they definitely have a place in ranked when played correctly. Pure specs are extremely fun and I love mastering each play style, but lately I"ve moved toward trying out the hybrids such as ss/assault and tactics/assault. They still give respectable dmg, but offer more utility/flexibility than full assault, at the expense of a little burst potential. I'm no expert, but id be more than happy to show the hybrids I've tried with SS's or videos to show them in action. Ultimately, as its been said many times before, try to decide on a role that fits you best and run with it. You'll have more fun and you might surprise people by your talent along the way. Its easier to master a spec that you love.
  7. We attended a server-wide event the other day with 62 online participating. Here is a screenshot from the end of the event....great fun! Oorah Jung Ma and A-Coy! http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8671/swtor2012061623275916.jpg
  8. Best thing about Iron Fist and the SS tree in general for PVP is Storm and maybe the roots, that's it. Overall Tactics with Ion cell will provide better dmg and about equal protection. Hold the Line is also very powerful when used at the right times, so it makes losing Storm not as harsh.
  9. Very cool intro! Felt like I was watching an 80s flick haha
  10. Anyone that is debating on taking the jump should do it! I was playing a lvl 50 Commando on a different server 2 months ago, saw the 1st video, and made the leap of faith to join A-Coy. It is the BEST experience I have had in almost any MMO to date. The people, organization, and events are a ton of fun and I'm glad I made the move. If you keep thinking you should/want to give it a go, just DO IT. You won't regret it!

  12. I'm a NORSE vanguard and all I know is that when I see a 4k fire pluse, 2.7k stick grenade, and 2.5k ion pulse go off in a few global cooldowns, I never feel under powered. Follow that up with a pulse cannon that can do 1900-2200 per tick for 4 ticks, it can be crazy dps for the enemy to withstand. That is all
  13. I wouldn't say Combat Medics are useless in 1.2, just much much harder. I shelved my Combat Medic and rerolled a Vanguard (which I love). But just yesterday, I decided to give my medic a go, which I haven't touched since the patch. I played 4 games and averaged about 350-400k healing. This is a pic of the best WZ I had, which happens to be Alderaan, even though we lost. Also, I am geared in half BM half Champion gear. I PUG'd all wz's. http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/277/screenshot2012043002553.jpg This is the spec I'm using. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800bfRoRdcdkqZrcoM.1
