  1. I have a question about it please: I have no interest in Minecraft or building big buildings. That is cool, but it's just not what I want to do in a game. Would EQN still be worthwhile to me? Or would I be just be missing a big feature and part of it? (I ask because I get the feeling that it is a sort of Minecraft MMO. I could be wrong.) Thanks!

Yes, you are right. I did try to stop the Sorcs, but with no real success. Most of the PUG was pretty, well stunned, at the rapid goals. There was no organized response in time. If you haven't experienced it, it really does happen very quickly. They can chain-score one after the other. It may be stoppable or dealable-with, yes, but I don't think it makes for a good fun map design. Kind of like if they made a football field 30 yards long, or a soccer goal stretch the whole width of the field.
  3. Hello, I'd like to ask for some advice about my main hand weapon and the current system please. I'm trying to use a PVE combo and have: Barrel: 31, rating 168, purple (crafted) Mod: 28A, rating 156, purple Enh: 25, rating 140, purple Crystal: +41 power, rating 136, purple Does that sound right, or should I switch something out? Thank you!

This happened to me tonight too. They stationed Sorcs there, and BAM 1 2 3 4 5 6 Six goals scored one after the other in rapid succession. The match was over in a couple minutes. I think the map is broken to the extent that everyone may pretty much have to adopt this tactic, or revolve around it. I like the map ok but I think this tactic breaks it.
  5. I pretty much agree. He is either doing it as part of his job, or he has some sort of mono-maniacal mental problem. Either way, he is a one-note broken-record that you gain nothing by listening to after you've heard the first iteration. ESO will do, guess what, the same thing almost all MMOs do: it will have a brief meteoric rise, with great numbers of new players! Then, after the free month is done, and for a couple months after, it will have an equally meteoric drop off. And then retain a much smaller, but adequate, number of players. Like here. Like everywhere. It's no big secret or surprise. Vallins can type as toxicly and as much as he wants, and it won't change a thing.
  6. That is a good point arunav. I myself would be ok if the appearance tab slots could only accept orange and/or CM gear, if that was what it took to make it financially viable for EA. It would still be better than having no tab at all, and most of the costume pieces I'd want to wear are CM anyway. To the person above questioning why it is needed: yes, orange gear lets you choose your look. Your look, singular. I would love to be able to change different costumes, and actually *play* PVE and PVP in them, without the cost and time and nuisance hassle of pulling out all the mods. Under the current system, yes I can choose my one look. But realistically it is only one look. It is too prohibitive to have multiple looks. Which is really, really missing the financial boat for BW/EA. If we could have easily switched multiple costumes, we'd have much more reason to buy more CM gear. Right now they are losing revenue by restricting us to just one working look.
  7. I guess because spamming SWTOR bashing posts meets some sort of emotional need of his. Or he thinks it will vaguely help whatever other game he champions. But his posts are all the same. Once you see his name, you know what's coming.
  8. Togruta Togruta Togruta Togruta Togruta Togruta Please! I don't mind clipping!
  9. Neither. Just telling him he was in for a lot of disagreement. My post was as much a complaint as yours was.
  10. Well, you are mostly only going to get people telling you how super fast leveling here is. Then someone will say "entitled". People mostly post only to disagree. Apparently KDY is the fast leveling way right now. I just leveled through PVP and space missions, and tried KDY. It did feel pretty fast, if full of a lot of what might be called trash monsters. So you could try that for a bit.
  11. Totally "yes" on all counts! I think she is a great character with a great look. The intro movie version is neat and so is the in-game version. Her in-game version is not at all too old to me, but then that does depend a good bit on our own ages. I like that she is not arrogant or preachy sounding too, which might come with the position. She's stayed approachable. She has a neat hairstyle and outfit style. Plus she's kind of endowed... My consular would be all over her! Trying to get her to take her as a padawan as a start : )
  12. Neat interesting OP. On PVP, I hope you are not right about arenas being the PVP focus. I'm in the camp that loves warzones and loathes arenas. I'd be excited if they offer separate queues. On PVE, I think you have great points about tacticals being a good introduction and friend maker opportunity. On GSF, I've kind of passed after trying it out. I'm unhappy to see scarce development resources spent on it. On the big one, story, I'm much less optimistic. You say the game is about Republic vs Empire, and the story will come back to revolving around that, rather than the story about the Pubs and Imps having to team up against a third-party threat. Sadly, I think any two-faction MMO is almost always going to just be about both factions teaming up vs a third party threat. Because development is expensive, and it is not economical to develop stories and such that are useable for only part of your player base. Instead, they will always want to develop just one new thing that can be used by all people. So instead of whatever faction vs faction thing your game originally launched about, both sides will get genericized into bland one-size-fits-both stories about a third threat. This has been true since Burning Crusade onward. You just can't afford to double your development cost, so one generic story for both. You'd get more in-character flavorful stories by having just one faction. The other problem with factions is that the kewl evil destructive faction will appeal more to the personalities and demographics that make up a lot of MMO players. So whichever faction is in red will have more players, sometimes to a bad imbalance. But that's just a side note. Anyway, I hope things will be exciting for 2014 and it is neat to read an optimistic post.
  13. Ohh, the Regal Apparel Top is a good choice. It really has the right stretchy effect across the body. I came back to this thread because I had given my Elegant Dress Top + Handmaidens Skirt combo another look. Although I don't like the neck area, I do think it has something going for it. It has gold embroidery that kind of helps, it has a natural black color for color matching, and it does not clip with the skirt they way the Regal Apparel Top unfortunately does. It's a heavier layered look than I'm used too, but I'm starting to like it. Or they could just please release a Satele set!
  14. Satele is awesome! Here is my humble makeshift attempt. Not great, but best I can figure so far: Chest: Elegant Dress Top Pants: Last Handmaiden Boots: Thana Vesh I'd sure like to do better on the top. It kind of conveys the idea though. For the pants I've also switched in Jori's Loincloth for a kind of showy leotard effect
  15. Well, I didn't really think they did it on purpose. But I kind of had a paranoid worry that maybe they did, to get people to stop wearing them. To appease people like that crazy thread starter on the general forum. The fact that they mysteriously seem unwilling to fix it... ah well. I think this may be the new normal. Anyway, they made and sold those cartel outfits, and people bought them, and this bug ruins them. Please fix it.
