  1. Let's take a moment and examine some logs (which I'm more than willing to upload if anyone wants the raw data). On average during our HM Monolith runs, my logs indicate that my Juggernaut Tank had the following average mittigation: (Malokai's an alt, but since OP asked about Jugg/Guardian specifically it made sense to look at this one) 12% Avoidance (since you clearly know feck all about tanking.. That's from Def. Rating) 25% Shielded (since I'm not convinced you'll understand even this simple concept... that's from my sheild proccing) and a combined 7.5% Absorbed (are you following this?) In short, if I didnt have my Shield equipped, I would have taken a whopping 44.5% MORE DAMAGE during this fight. So please, enlighten me, and explain how on earth a DPS geared tank could ever be considered remotely viable?
  2. Spot on - Your Shield will not proc with a focus or generator equipped. Making both Shield Rating and Absorption completely useless (not that it would matter... if you're geared as DPS you would have 0 of each anyway... right). There was once a time, especially for Sins, where playing Tank spec in DPS gear was worth it in PVP due to guarenteed crits on certain abilities etc... however BW moved to gimp this quite some time ago. For PVE there are very few reasons, if any at all, why a tank wearing DPS gear would be beneficial in any way.
  3. I feel like it's about time I made a contribution to this thread, so here goes: Yeah? Post your logs or G.T.F.O. - That is all.
  4. Sorry but this is simply incorrect. The main Ops progression was (is) as follows: Eternity Vault (50) Karagga's Palace (50) Explosive Conflict (50) Terror From Beyond (50, later increased to 55) Scum and Villainy (55) Dread Fortress (55) Dread Palace (55) Ravagers (60) Temple of Sacrifice (60) Other raid bosses / instances such as TC/CM etc are largely considered irrelevant due to the lack of complex mechanics / and being single bosses etc.
  5. Hi Eric, Speaking on behalf of myself, and my guild-mates here, and for what it's worth: We absolutely and utterly condemn this kind of personal attack on an employee (and his family!) and we implore you not to allow the actions of the few prevent you from continuing to try and improve the channels of communication between yourselves, and us, those players who continue to support, play, and pay for, this game. To the community at large: John was simply trying to do what he thought was best, and communicate openly with us in an attempt to try and explain what we all know to be a controversial series of changes that affect a class in a way that many of us disagree with. For a long time we have been screaming out for this kind of communication / explanation of such changes, and asking for exactly this. And this is his thanks? Sure, we might not always agree with the decisions made by the developers, or the way information is somtimes communicated with us and, at times, the way it feels like our feedback is simply ignored (a topic for another post)... But that doesn't excuse or justify what John and his family had to endure. I for one would fully support BW/EA or John and his Family, if they chose to identify you, terminate your accounts, and report you to the police / authorities and chose to pursue legal action where appropriate. You should be f***ing ashamed of yourselves. I know I am. - Muzyka

  8. Hi Eric, Thank you, as always, for doing your best to keep us all informed. Speaking on behalf of myself, my guild members, and the majority of the community members who I talk to on a regular basis, both fully support your actions, and understand the difficulty of the situation as a whole - especially when looking subjectively and realising that the majority of players who were partaking in this exploit were paying customers. It is important to remember that just because someone is a customer, does not make them a loyal one. Disrespecting the ToS, exploiting for loot and monetary gain whilst blaming the developers to excuse their actions. Flaunting it in the faces of everyone around them with complete contempt and utter disregard to the consequences of their actions, with impunity, and because "it's their own fault for allowing it to be possible" etc. I believe that taking a strong stance on this matter sends out a much needed message, that you & the devs care about the state of the game, and that you will not stand idly and allow these people to destroy the in-game economy, make a mockery out of any genuine progression guilds, and continuously disrespect you and the entire SWTOR community. I sincerely hope your team have the strength of conviction to stand by these actions, and that you deal with repeat offenders with the same degree of contempt that they showed throught this whole fiasco. Finally I would like to repeat the sentiment of my opening statement, and once more say thank you to both Eric, and the developers, for maintining an open line of communication throughout, for reverting back to us with a comprehensive explanation of your conclusions and for explaining the actions you will be taking regarding this matter. Thank you, and best regards. - Muzyka for, and on behalf of <Shades of Grey> TRE (eu) Also, I know there will be people out there who do not agree with me, or who think that the SWTOR devs are at fault for this matter. You are wrong. No matter how or why the exploit came about, people CHOSE to abuse it. The only reason they are so butthurt now is that they were caught doing something which they knew was wrong, thought they could get away with indefinitely, and now they've had their hands slapped. Just because you pay for a service, doesnt entitle you to try and take more from it than is allowed... Just as your cable company if they catch you hacking channels despite paying for a basic package...
  9. I'll just take this opportunity to shamlessly bump the topic and, of course, wish you all a very happy start to 2015!

  12. Many thanks for all the hard work and effort from Amaterásu who parked toons on all the planets, watched timers, and coordinated more commander kills at silly-o-clock-in-the-morning than any of us care to remember, and at times quite literally shouted at us all and forced us to hunt the next one before allowing us to sleep.... Notable mentions to: Taldari Lílli Despotus Mikano Rándom Miu Bonerpill Babyheals Nox Rai Maddox and, of course, everyone else who turned out to grind the Frameworks over and over again. And, finally, a special mention and thanks to all of the guys in PCG who graciously agreed to step aside to allow us to obtain our final Framework - Thank you all, we really appreciated it. - Muzy
