  1. Yeh actually you're right. Theres so much good adaptive gear on the cartel market that armor isnt a problem. But I just think that the pub classes (especially jedi) should have a wider variety of robes which dont need to be bought with ccs instead of their plain old hooded ones. Otherwise pubs are awesome
  2. I completely disagree im sorry to say. Yes, I know that this is all based on personal opinion but i have to say, having played a sentinel and a shadow to high levels (sent to 53 and shadow to 47) and having played Sin and Jugg to even higher levels. I have to say the empire are simply the most enticing faction. I assume this was deliberate by Bioware (following the classic style of: Bad guys are always the coolest) . When playing with my jedi i found that all those brown or white hoods were just sooo utterrly boring after a while. Ive gotta admit I was really excited to get a hood for my jedi because i thought they looked cool but after that first hood basicall every armor i get from the GTN or missions or fps were hooded. It was so boring. Shadow/Sage is even worse, With their masks which just look lame (at least they get proper headgear though unlike the JK who get goggles LOL ) They have a slightly better color variety with some goldish armor which is pretty cool, but the color varieties just arent enough for the pubs (in my opinion). Then there is the Empire ..... I dont even need to say anything apart from this; SO FRICKING AWESOME!!! Its like Bioware are deliberately just trying to put people of the republic faction with their boring identical brown and white robes LOL
  3. So so true, I played as a Jedi Sentinel and Shadow for a long time. All jedi armor is basically just boring brown or sometimes white cloaks and hoods. Empire stuff although people complain about certain things, Is soooo much better its hilarious. Everything about the republic sucks. Their animations are hilariously bad (talking about JK and JC) with their 'fairy dust' and sparkles and their little pebbles. Whereas the sith just have plain, awesome lightning and force choke..... ****SWEET!
  4. I completely agree. I started off as playin a Sith Inquisitor mostly because i thought i knew what the Republic where like: how wrong I was. I had always thought they were the good guys and the Sith were the bad guys, this i know is a widespread view, but if you play both factions in every class You'll see how corrupt the republic actually are. The senators are almost all corrupt, you barely ever see a good-willed senator. it seemed to me that all they did was for their own means, and they LIE so much to make it seem like they only care about the people. In comparison the Sith are not corrupt even though one would expect them to be; they are united under hatred of the jedi and the desire to crush all their enemies. Obviously those are not good things and im not trying to say the Sith are good, im simply pointing out that the Republic are much worse than the Sith empire because they lie and try to cover up their true selves (at least their leaders do) whereas the Sith are mostly just plain evil, and they embrace that and do not deceive people to think otherwise. Then there is the Jedi. In my opinion they Jedi Order are the only aspect of the Republic that is pure. The jedi do not lie nor deceive, and looking at the movies now, Yoda notices all the corruption in the Republic but he does not have enough authority to do something about it. I am not a major fan of the jedi, I am mostly an Imperial guy after having played for the Republic Faction and seeing the corruption. But i do believe that the Jedi are the only ones who try to uphold the motives that the Republic claimed to be following. Though there are some cases of corrupt Jedi as well. For example, Master Nomen Karr who was a false jedi because he harboured the darkside inside him, and in my opinion Satele Shan MAY be corrupt. She certainly shows signs of corruption but not in a bad way. I think it is just absolute hatred of the Sith that corrupts her.
  5. Yeh but none of you jedi supporters are getting the point. its not about the origins of lightsaber stances or what they look like in the movies or how elegant the jedi knight fighting style is compared to the sith warrior. Star wars isnt real, the lightsabers dont exist, the jedi and sith dont exist. No casual gamer cares about the practicality etc of the jedi fighting stance if it makes them look like a goon, they only care about how visually appealing the stances are (since they make no difference in in-game combat). And the sith warrior stance although 'impractical' is soo much cooler with his lightsaber twirling and his lightsaber position while sprinting. All in all the Jedi knight stance would be fine and very effective in portraying the classic jedi stereotype as it is now, but with the lightsaber position whilst running similair to that of the Sith warrior; the stance while standing still should be kept the same.
  6. But you seem to be missing the point, You're saying that Star Wars is Star Wars and the jugg way of holding a lightsaber is not realistic... but since when was Star Wars suppossed to be realistic? Now tell me, because I entirely agree with the complaints of the jedi warrior and guardian lightsaber holding style, will the average player choose the class because of the practicality of its fighting stance (which makes no difference in in-game combat) or how visually appealing the fighting stance is? And i can tell you the majority of people would prefer the sith warrior fighting stance to the jedi knight stance.
  7. I apologise in advance because i guess you guys have already seen this question hundreds of times, but every thread I've looked at doesn't seem to have what im looking for. I have a Level 40 jugg, and a level 26 marauder and a level 28 assassin and a level 28 sorc. I love the warrior storyline (much better than the inquisitor in my opinion) but i also want to play pvp with my character after i finish the storyline, and so far my Jugg doesn't do nearly as much damage as the other tanking classes in pvp. I cant even beat a shadow/assassin 5 levels below me in 1v1; heck i cant even beat most classes at the same level or lower levels than me. I love the combat animations of the mara though I think its far too easy to die (even using quinn). But to be honest i absolutely hate the inqusitor story, it seems to just be find artifact one then find artifact two etc..., but the assassins cool and does pretty well in PvP especially with stealth. I just think that although i prefer my jugg the most (immortal specced), i think that even when i tried him out with rage and vengeance (with the appropriate armor stats) he never did much damage; yes i know juggs are not DPS classes, and I would always be in the bottom third in PvP. Oh yeh i forgot to mention, my jugg has the best gear i could find from both the GTN and commendation and speciality good vendors. I even bought the best lightsaber crystals i could get without becoming broke (in this case the advanced pink-purple indestructible crystal) and I still get embarassed by lower level characters with much worse gear.
  8. The middle armor is not marauder armor, it is still Juggernaut armor. There is just a marauder equivalent. Recently I rolled a jugg and ive got him to level 40 or so. I have the exact same chestpiece. I cant remeber exactly what its called. i think its called Force Batttlers chestpiece.
  9. At the moment you're on a far too low level to be getting full headgear from the GTN and questing. On Dromund Kaas You can only get the Darth Malgus style breather and the same with balmorra and Nar Shadaa all the way till Tatooine. The first full headgear which covers your entire face, is I think the Gladiator helmet which can only be equipped at level 26. So you still have a long way to go unless you're satisfied with the Darth Malgus breather headgear.
  10. There was one on Balmorra With Darth Lacrinus for male characters. I can't remember which quest it was part of. I think it was Balmorra Bonus Series
