  1. This is particularly frustrating on melee classes, sometimes I will use an ability that requires melee range and it will activate a GCD and then tell me my target isn't in range... but it activated the GCD... one of the many reasons this is my last month paying for SWTOR till F2P comes.
  2. I made this account months before the game came out I anticipated it so much and this is how I see it now: Where are the Guild Capitol Ships? Where is Arena? Why is Space Flight a mini-game instead of the model you represented when advertising pre-release? What happened to being able to kill companions? Why did you only hire competent story board writers for 1/2 the character classes? Why are races completely cosmetic when in SW Lore they ARE NOT AT ALL JUST COSMETIC. Finally, from an investors standpoint, why would you risk nearly 1 mil subs to "increase reach of the game" when you can't handle the players you currently have? How do you expect to provide updates for 1-3 million F2P when you couldn't for 1.7 mil subs. I don't see those 1-3 million F2P players spending more than $15 a month, why would they? So you are going to have to tell your investors that they will see a lower profit being turned over as you lose a HUGE amount of your paying player base. This thread is a testament to that, about 1/4 of the posts are un-sub posts. Thus the investors will demand pay out and you will be left with LESS financial backing than before. I run a corporation, I know how these processes work, you have lost what I like to call "investor faith" and now you will flounder for a year trying to make up for it. Many players will do like I have and go from playing 4-8 hours a day to playing 1-2, which is NOT going to help populations. I had extremely high hopes for this game figuring it would build upon the foundation SWG had built but instead it has gone the Warhammer route. This will be my last month paying for the game and once I have completed every classes storyline, which i can do for free, I won't be returning. I have a feeling that the game "development" is now going to go about 25% to the pvp/pve content and 75% to the Cartel Store. This is just one bad business judgement after another, stop hiring people that were involved with past MMO's that failed... PLEASE!

Okay so maybe I wasn't clear enough or you people only read the first paragraph, the problem is that if the players are willing to pay 10k for an item and the GTN recommends you sell it for 2k then lazy people will sell it for 2k and people who do research will sell for 10k. The problem is that the min price set on the GTN is based on vendor values, have you ever played an MMO where the vendor value always matched the trade network of that game? I have played a lot of MMO's and most follow player values of items not vendor values. Lol and your quote about Wal-Mart is just ignorant, the reason they offer things at such a low value is that they have such a low cost. Spending 2k to send companion out only to receive 2k is not profitable and makes a crew skill useless, this is because of a SYSTEM IN GAME not because of player demand or supply. I honestly don't see what you guys are confused about, this is detrimental, does it benefit you in any way to have the vendor price of a crew skill reward be less than the cost to send them out?
  4. The system for the trade of wealth has some very silly issues with it that I would really like to see changed to help the economy of our servers become healthier. These are some obvious things that should have occurred to the team that designed the GTN Search Screen, the main problem is the way you post items for sale. Most people who use the GTN just post the instant gratification price that is listed with the item, this is ridiculous because the players who KNOW what the item is know that it is worth far more. Take end game companion gifts for example, the artifact ones can sell for 10000-25000 on my server but the GTN will tell you to post it for like 4k which causes the seller to lose out AND the other competitor items for sale are either forced to repost a sale a bunch or they lower their prices. This has NOTHING to do with the demands or supplies of the items, it is purely because the GTN tells them to post for that price. Having played many other MMO's I assumed that the GTN was offering me recommended average prices, not the vendor price for the item, which is down-right ridiculous as almost every item in every MMO becomes more expensive than the vendor price. This is causing major instability in the market, imagine for a moment of this happening in the real world with important products. If we had say Oil for $86 a barrel and that was the standard price, then someone enters the market offering it for $25 because that is the raw production cost without any profit, the system will fall apart. No business will purchase the $86 barrels and when the $25 have sold out people will hold off on purchasing hoping that they will return. Then the $86 barrels will drop in price to be competitive, lets say to $50, a few people will purchase these but still others will hold off. The market will fluctuate wildly and IF no one sells any other cheap oil it will settle. But if another person sells it low again it will cause the same scenario to repeat until their is an economic breakdown to the point where it isn't profitable anymore so no one does it. This needs to be fixed, it causes huge problems with out Crew Skills as well, if it costs me 10kish to send them out and I am returned with items that are recommended to be sold at 2.4k and i do sell them... I just spent 30 min to make 2k... Huge waste and makes my Mission Skill useless. But because of player demand they realize that the items are worth more and pay between 4-6k for greens and 10-25k for the artifacts. Which makes my skill profitable and makes me likely to post them. I love the economy of MMO's and this one seems to have had very little thought into it and it seems like the people in charge have no idea how modern economics works... Please share your ideas on the subject, maybe we can get them to change it if we talk about it enough.
  5. The only complaint I have about this whole patch is that they made the physical changes to the WZ at the same time the dropped Ranked Preseason. I think they should have let us get used to the changes in a hotfix a week or so before they dropped. Was a little confused when the Voidstar strategy we had planned fell apart completely because THERE IS A WALL !!! It is not that I don't like the changes, I just think they could have been released with time for use to create tactics involving them and practice prior 1.3. Other than that one, tiny, insignifigant problem I think 1.3 is my fav update yet, can't wait for 1.4.
  6. Actually I had a game today where we were very equally matched and we managed to cap mid again before the point of no return and hold it for the win. It has to do with timing and CC more than anything, and now that you can't climb the wall there is only three ways of egress.

  8. I noticed burst increased a little but I am an Op Heals primarily and my survivability is fine and Im only in 1/2 WH. My full WH Juggy Tank PvP partner is easier to heal now and has WAY more health because of augs.

The WHOLE IDEA of a Ranked WZ is to have a more serious, coordinated and objective competition between two groups of dedicated PvPers that have thought out intelligently designed tactics on how to defend and attack in almost any situation. It was not created so that you ungeared toons could get your gear, it was not created with the intent to cater to the lazy, it was created to cater to the hardcore people that actually care about the outcomes of the WZ not just how many commendations they get. Also none of you are going to be in a vent/TS/Mumble channel, you have no pre-chosen leader and have no reason to show any loyalty to your team or the outcome of the battle. I am absolutely overjoyed with the fact that people like you will be leaving this game, if you want your cake and to eat it as well YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT.
  11. I was on a dead server and still got half WH before 1.3, people like you are the reason I absolutely LOVE the fact that Ranked are out. Go QQ and play reg WZ so that we only have to play geared people. IF you keep playing regs and leave us geared toons to the Ranked you wont have to face us much anymore, I promise. Plus you can pretend Ranked doesnt exist until u are geared.

    I've noticed that Sorcs/Sages are hitting very hard with Pebbles/Lightning and that they seem squishier than before. I think a lot of the damage is coming from your constant relic bonus now instead of a proc but the easily being bursted I can't figure out.
  13. This idea has no real merit. This will not establish "Balance", balance doesnt mean you have a 50/50 chance to kill your opponent 1v1. HEALERS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KILL A TANK, EVER, PERIOD. Just wrap your mind around what you have proposed, do you honestly see any purpose in being a tank if heals can kill u? The whole idea of being a "tank" is that you take more damage for the team than others can. I would honestly attribute this to someone who has had little experience with the complicated mathematical equations that go into making PvP combat (cuz a passive heal that everyone gets is just a peachy idea isn't it guys?) AND that he has little to no experience at anything but DPS.
  14. ^ This is absolutely correct. With something like rank you can't have random variables that have no way of being controlled by the player. This happened to us on the Bastion as well, the difference between scores was much closer than the game you screenshotted but we still clearly had highest medals, heals etc. Teams should be rewarded for outperforming their enemies, not punished. Hotfix in order!
