  1. i would not mind an ac change up to to level 25
  2. BS! they just di transfers for the Aussies! Stop making up excuses these are well payed highly intelligent people! there system should not delete anything and simply copy to start with so the risk is mitigated. I can thing of multple ways you can prevent char from being deleted or even if they are having a back up of the data in place to resolve the issue.
  3. I think this is at the core of the problem. Bioware forget that this is a living breathing game that is dynamic and they want to create stories and systems that pidgin hole players to there idea of fun. What they did not realize is that Successful MMOs allow for you to expand beyond that. Actually *** am i taling about WOW is a linear piece of poop as well and that got 10 mil subs! I give up, I just want a good version of SWG please
  4. I totally agree. Until a day where my choices within legacy have an impact my desire or want to invest in it are not a priority, although I'm sure I will dabble!
  5. Sorry for not being as succinct as i would have liked to be i was rushing if I'm honest. The first 2 lines were in response to your quote the rest was just my general rambling which was not clearly articulated. To clearly articulate my problem with your response: I do not agree that the system would result in anyone being forced to do anything. The rewards in legacy today offer no incentive to end game content such as PVP or Raiding and even if it did it would only be if those rewards were required to complete the content that any guild would have to demand it. Just because some elitist idiots will does not IN MY opinion warrant the need to make concessions to a game system. You can agree or disagree i don't care, my personal belief is i would rather deal with the community BS but have more innovative engaging systems. Which led me into my thought process of why i feel frustrated with the general direction of the game catering to people who have more time and not creating rewarding engaging experiences. The legacy system is about how much time you invest in the game and thus you get rewarded. Which rightly or wrongly i have 10/20 hours of time to play a week and so for me getting any type of reward from the legacy system is going to take a while due to how much time it takes to unlock or save up the money to gain any benefit. The only way i would have found the system more worthy was if it was in general more engaging and allowed for more complex choices along the way that had an impact so that my time invested actually had some real consequence and meaning rather than the very hollow grind that i PERSONALLY feel the system represents. At the end of the day this is my opinion, I am honestly happy if you like the concept and the mechanics that it represents. To me the system is a fantastic idea delivered in a basic and dull fashion. Time will tell if people like it!
  6. You can't police the community so why try? Just make cool systems! If a guild wants to mandate something who are you to argue. Don't Join the Guild! All i see is a lot of brick walls going up based on may happens which prevent more unique systems from being deployed! Maybe its me but I do not worry about such things and the guilds i am in do not either. Ow and one last point, its such a silly stance to take when you can't complete pieces of content in game without certain gear. Whats the difference between the different restrictions. We continue to dilute choices by making them meaningless to the point where making a choices is pointless and i can just select whatever. The choices in this system are the following: Do I want cool thing? Yes or No ff yes, Do i have legacy level? yes or no (no means go grind, great stuff ) If Yes, Do i have enough cash? yes or no I'm bored of playing games for simple folks. Give me tougher choices to make please. I guess I'm in the minority or at least I better be for biowares sake.
  7. Thanks for the response! But that design decision does not stack with the fact that it would make no sense for a guild to mandate any of this as none of the rewards benefit you in a group setting such as raiding or PVP. You have made it so most of these benefits are solo specific and the only one which is useful for endgame are the buffs. Which you could have chosen to not be linked to the family tree. I would not be surprised if this response changes in the next few updates once you get a bit more time to do what i think it is you want to do.
  8. I love you GeorgZoeller. That disclaimer is full of win. By the way i thought you guys were great at the Summit. Yes we always want more but in general you gave a ton of information. I just hope you start to focus on more ways to engage social behavior in game because right now its to much about progression in insular fashions and there is not enough open world content that people can stumble upon or help create.
  9. Overall I liked the video and I understand why Bioware would put out a video like this. The one thing that left a sour taste was the 'seeing the full servers light up then be full' comment, like that's the norm. It really is not the reality today and though it was like that for the first week that is not the reality today. Otherwise nice job guys you all should be proud, just be careful with the expectations your are setting with potential new gamers.
  10. Thanks for the info guys im going to give it a go
  11. Thanks for the response. That makes sense i guess! I would prefer not to respec as I love My current build
  12. Hello All, So I'm interested in people experience with raid content using a Sith Assassin as a Main Tank. Let me start by saying i have had no problem tanking anything in this game and love the build. I share some concerns around the not watching the action and watching little icons but for the first time yesterday I felt not viable as a main tank. I was in a raid with my guild on the 16 man version of EV and would take significantly more damage than lower geared BHPT and SWJ on XRR-3. This is disappointing and i feel needs addressed or i need guidance. It ultimately comes down to only having 40% dmg mitigation vrs both those guys having 50%. FYI I'm currently built 25/0/16, at 40%/26%/45%/33% when buffed and dark ward is up and have a combination of 126 PVE gear and 136 PVP gear. Note: I had no problem doing the 8 man raid as MT however. Thought? Suggestions? known issue?
  13. I agree with most of the post apart from the gear stuff. Bracers, belts and implants you can get from crafters on the GTN. Its the one thing where you can get decent stuff from them and the gear you can get from dailies is more than sufficient. Throw the crafters a friggin bone. Is it really that hard to interact with another human for 3 out of 8 best in slot items, which they are not as raiding as always still gives the best gear. FYI im not a crafter but beleive its essential for a good in game economy and game.
