  1. You guys are morons... Your chance is now 100%. You get the comms everytime. If it would make you all happier, I'm sure they can take out the 2% bonus chance at getting an actual item. Which is BONUS...which is bonus...did I say it was BONUS... This thread gets 3 rollseyes. Never has a thread been given such a high rating.
  2. Your the one having trouble with PvE. I'm not sure why you would PvP for gear, unless you're a PvPer or gearing for endgame PvP. Secondly, if PvE is a problem then I hope you don't try PvP for the first time the second you hit 50. That'll end badly... Go to the GTN for gear. If you want to learn/play PvP, start PvP with a lvl14 char and lvl him up from there. Watch some pro lvl players play the class to get an idea of what it should look like done right. If you click anything with your mouse, that will have to end(exception: trying to target as a ranged class, you may want to click targets; only because tab target is much worse at range).
  3. The gear progression is so fast anyone complaining about it is a total joke as to a valid reason 50 pvp is not as fun. Valid reasons you may like 10-49 PvP better: a) Its something new from your main, which you may have played to death b) Sense of progression through lvling your char as you PvP. c) Fighting against the odds(lacking skills) Reason that are not valid, but likely play large role in why people like it: a) Being PvP geared(or twinked) gives you a much greater gear advantage, than BM over 50/50 Champ/Cent people. b) Much higher% of players that have no clue what they are doing(free kills). c) A GREAT advantage from having skills that your opponents do not due to lvl difference, as well as talents half the people your playing have no acces to. Essentailly, the difference in 10-49 PvP that are out of player control are MUCH GREATER than when you're 50. SO to get to 50 and blame the gear as the problem of unfair play being the issue is UTTER BULL@#$%! It's much more likely you simple don't like not having inherent advantages over the people you are playing against. Something the 10-49 bracket provides a LOT MORE of.
  4. Times its acceptable to quit: A) Spawn into a match already in progress B) 5-0 Hutball and they refuse to finish it C) You solo queue, and someone on your team does something so MORONIC you need to take 10min to calm down(aka: Taking the ball from the last fire on the enemy side in Hutball, and carrying it all the way to your side and scoring for the other team...you get 10min sir...) Times not acceptable: A) Your in a 4-man premade. I don't care how bad the PuGs are, just take responsibility. Exception(See C above) B) Voidstar capped in first min. These leavers are the worst. Often this is a fluke and you end up winning anyway. Play the !@#$ game! C) Unless you're down by double pts in Alderaan, there's a good chance to turn it around. There are really no excuses for leaving Alderaan, ever. If your getting crushed it ends very fast anyway. Great solo play can actually win in Alderaan, which is not really so in the other 2 maps.
  5. Currently, if you're a BM and you're still using a shield, then you're just gimping urself. Perhaps before Champ gear the extra survivability makes enough of a diff to warrant usage in some cases. My theory is that a dead target does a whole lot less dmg than a live one... This pretty much excludes hutball from the discussion. I'd basically recommend a whole new set of tank armor for hutball. But I'm just finishing up my first set of BM gear. And you shouldn't worry about getting tank gear until you have your PvP dmg setup exactly as you want it. In the mean time, you switch to Endurance stim for hutball, and switch out your ear, implants, and relics(buy Champ def ones if you can't spare 1 BM comm yet).
  6. The best 1v1 spec that is popular is 31/1/9. I run a 31/3/7 and find it even superior to 31/1/9. 1pt Int Tac, 2pt Shadow Res. Ps - I encourage all previous Inf spec players to take 1pt in Inf Tac. The proc is always up as KC due to the AoE from Slow Time. If you are not a prev. Inf player, then using Shadow Strike effectively will take you some time, perhaps a month, to be an advantage and not a detriment(key is your positioning, and it's not an ability you can really pre-queue like a Double Strike, so until you can learn to hit it at near the exact moment the GCD ends you're wasting time by tryin to use it). If you can't get used to it just spec 31/0/10, as there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not optimal for 1v1 imo.
  7. Thanks. Great vid as always! Loved the in-combat stealth > sap, out-of-combat heal standing right beside the person section. Priceless, and something I can add to me repertoire. The Huttball goaline line ball carrier force speed > knockback > kill was also pretty epic, even if that guy was a moron and turned toward you instead of high tailing it towards the pit. Also nice to see you running all the specs. Or Inf and KC for sure. You also did Balance, but I'm thinkin that might have been a 27/0/14 or 23/0/18 and not full balance. Still, great variety. I've been running a 31/3/7 build(1pt Inf Tac., 2pt Shadow Res), but like to dable in all the specs as well. I think being able to play them all is quite beneficial to playing your actual spec most effectively.
  8. Its your Combat Technique, passive heal chance on proc once every 4.5 secs. Boosted by Battle Readiness. As a 50 BM, I can have up to 60K healing.
  9. It basically goes into my PvP rotation only when I'm fighting mutliple people very near a door or node. The dmg is not that bad. It crits for will over 1k, and usually crits at least 1 of the targets.
  10. For Darkness: Assumming you use Stalker gear(which you should) or Survivor gear with Stalker mods. Despite the Surge nerf you still stack this to 250-300. The only thing you can gain instead is accuracy, which does almost nothing for you. You still likely want around 300 crit, which is about 150crit lower than the pure DPS spec. This gives you some leeway to stack some power in place of crit mods(rip power mods from headgear or hands piece). Using a Will/Power Stim combined with gear that's 200+ power. I also like to stack about 100 defense(I do not use a shield). Some people will tell you this is worthless, but 1v1 vs any melee class its a significant edge over the extra crit chance you'd be dropping to get defense to 100. Imo, you maximize your strength of auto-crit abilities by not having to stack crit so high, and taking advantage of the other stats. Should aim for about20% defense chance.
  11. As others have said this strat is balanced by the fact the other team is playing down a man in the middle. If you actually get the ball then the stealthers will leave the goal area to help on defense. However, due to people quitting every 15sec in current format, the steamroll usually just continues. But its not an exploit! Just hope they finish it out in 5mins or less and dont farm you. If they're already Battlemasters they're less likely to even care to farm you at least.
  12. All the RP-PvP servers are much closer to even.
  13. Well his math is correct, so I'm going to say he knows more than you. I'm tired of this 3 week BS. Yeah, maybe if you just did the dialy/weekly a few times. But you didn't open 48 bags and get nothing. If 100,000 people did the same, then you might be the only one who didnt get anything. Your just liars that are upset that you didn't get your coms quite as fast as you thought you should.
  14. If you're on Jung Ma I'm sorry for your loss... Or not!
  15. It's one of the 2, if not the best dmg in the game right now...
