  1. So basically you want your only vulnerability removed so that you can sit on an astroid and kill people from safe range all day everyday. And when they try to get close you want stuff that will help you get away, form scouts. Tell you what, why don't Bioware add a insta WIN ability for GS's while at it? You should not be able to escape from a scout if its on you. The best you can do is not to be seen. Dampeners work well in this sense. Also do not forget this is not a solo game. If 2-3 scouts come after you everytime you shoot someone that means your team is not doing their part. Snipers work best when the enemy is occupied. Next time when you want a buff for a class do not just type "I want this I want that". Instead also think yourself in a scout ship against a GS, almost one shoting you from triple your range away and has the ability to escape if you get there. Think that if it will be fun for them too.

    The Tank in PvP

I'm a shadow tank myself and I have 2 times the def you have, %10 more shield proc chance, same absorb rating on the shield and less armor and with some very nice self heals. So I'm in the same ship with yours (maybe a bit better due to self heals). But here is some very good advice: Attacks of Marauder/Sentinel , Sniper/Gunslingers attacks are more likely to proc shield on us. (Especially gunslinger/snipers) So attack them. We have a very big hp pool, guarding the healers and cc/interrupting the enemy dps and taunting everybody is our main role in pvp, we are already essential to a teams victory more than you think. I pulled of 85k+ protections with a healer on me (not a pocket healer mind you) and that usually wins games on Voidstar. And most importantly, if you really think as a tank you are being useless, remove all your tank mod/enchantments from gear, put dps mod/enchantments in them and voila, you are a tanky dps. Since most of the attacks ignore shield and def chance in pvp, you'll be sacraficing little survival to a better dps potencial. It works on us Shadow Tanks very well, I don't know if it will work as good on a vanguard tho.
  3. I honestly think changing Merc's class name to "Turret" wouldn't sound too ridiculous.
  4. I'd like to see sorcs with with heavy armor too, now that would be rich.
  5. I fought against 5-6 sorcs several times so I don't think it's that unlikely to have 8 sorcs.
  6. I killed him, he died, other than that I don't remember any significant thing happening.
  7. I'm a lvl 50 shadow tank for almost two weeks myself and slow time haven't ever added a harnessed shadow proc which is not surprising because the talent harnessed shadow doesn't mention anything about slow time proccing it. With 3 harnessed shadow you are NOT immune to knockbacs, you ARE immune to pushback and interrupts. Pay attention before posting people. The only problem with tank tree is the particle acceleration, it says if it consumes "Force Potency" stack, it will do %50 more crit dmg, except that it doesn't It is proved that a particle accelerated project with force potency does EXACTLY the same dmg with one without force potency. Fix it.
  8. I second this, Kinetic Shadow with Tharan is easy mode. I could even kill champs with good use of cds and med pacs. Gold elites were np whatsoever. I sometimes even take Zenith or Nadia with me to make lvling harder . I think inf spec is a bit behind at lvling than balance and kinetic. It seems more like a pvp dps spec.
  9. Today I played a rep vs rep huttbal match (very rare indeed) and some players thought enemy being rep players are a bug It was a very close match tho. Very enjoyable match indeed, it ended 5v4 and we talked about it after on the fleet. It was cool.
  10. Very true. I just can't belive they thought it is actually ok. Even 6v8 is an obvious win for one side unless the other side is VERY bad or afkers.
  11. I win %60-%70 of the time as Rep on my server as solo que. Mind you tho, server is not crowded and I know most of the lvl 50 rep pvpers by name. This helps because I'm a shadow tank and this way I know who to guard and who to stick with. Also I can identify most of baddies too so I avoid chain queueing with them. With a stellar group (solo queue still) I got 3-4 wins in a row some nights. The point is maybe you should try avoiding chain queueing with obvious bad players.
  12. The illum is so bad right now, if BW closes it down for good, I'm pretty sure nobody will miss it.
  13. I also think that this game favours ranged dps all the time. The real thing bugging me is how relatively easy it is to play some ranged classes. Really let's take the most debated merc for example. I'm a shadow tank, I have 20 keybinds and I use most of them in pvp. I encountered and dealt with mercs, they are not even close to being op agains me but the encounter usually goes like this: I open with "slow time" for %5 dmg debuff and slow. Merc casts "Tracer missile" I "interrupt" and immediately follow it with a "double strike". Merc tries casting "Tracer missile" I interrupt with "force kick" this time and if double strike procced I use "project". Merc tries casting "Tracer Missile" again. I interrupt with "Force Wave" this time. Merc is fed up and he either stuns and goes away, or continues "Tracer missile"ing me. The point of this example is not how mercs beat everyone, it's how easy it is to be able to actually do anything. No skill should be spammable and at the same time be effective. While ranged dps are doing their dps spam rotation, I have to Need to keep an eye on my "double strike" procs for "project" Keep an eye on harnessed shadow procs for "telekinetic throw" (if I want to stay alive) and put my "execution skill (forgot the name)" , "force breach" (for acc debuff) and "slow time (for slow and dmg debuff)" in my rotation. constantly keep my "kinetic ward" up Need to "mind slap (interrupt)" "force kick" or "force wave" for interrupting the ranged all the while "force pulling" ranged or "force speeding" to ranged or "force slow"ing them to prevent being kited to be able to actually do anything all the while I manage my "guard" on allies and "aoe taunt" and "single taunt" enemies all the while not forgetting to activate my "force potency" for dps and "battle readiness", "ressillance" and "deflection" for def at the right times to stay alive. This playstyle is actually why I find tank shadow very enjoyable to pvp but while I'm using this many abilities (and have to be mobile) to be effective, when I see a class acting like a turret spamming 1 skill coupled with maybe 2-3 more, standing in place and switching targets everytime somebody LOS him and be effective, I'm inclined to ask for some balance. TLDR: Ranged classes are not overpowered, but has more room for error and a lot easier to play.
  14. What I'm seeing here is you are a caster and you just want to cast everything without any hassle and don't bother to learn fake casting because it's too hard.
