  1. just had the same issue. I had deselected Kaon as i could not be bothered to run it with undergeared people (just had a fresh 50 group through groupfinder..... fail!!). To my surprise though the green "daily reward available" icon remained lit. i did BT with the next grp and i didnt get my BH comms (QQ). i opened a ticket about it but then i played around with the grp finder tool. I tried selecting and deselcting kaon again and this time it came up with "daily reward unavailable". so this looks like its the bug as sometimes it remains lit. dont know how to recreate the conditions when this occured but the tool lied to me..... IT LIED!!
  2. Ok i know that it has taken ages, and yes this system should have been in place from the get go but at least it's here. Im off my dead server and on TOFN now along with some RL friends I didn't have the opportunity to play with (different server) before. Unfortunately i lost my toons names /cry. I have my gripes with the game but i hope it can progress in the right direction and now that we can look forward to higher pops, we can (perhaps) start enjoying the game again. To me it is clear that although it takes a while, the devs listen to us (though some will disagree). So thanks Bioware and lets hope it's all forward from here.
  3. you need to enable view hidden files. I cba to explain so google it -"how to view hidden files on [operating system]"
  4. I have to agree with OP. I really enjoy the game and have had lots of great times thus far but having seen what has occurred in other MMO's i find it strange that BW didn't either have a working server transfer tool/server merge facility from the get go. In any game like this the subs will have an early peak as people try it out, followed by a dip till the game stabilises with content etc. To not have foreseen this and have a means to counter it is odd.. I still want to enjoy this game but when i log onto my server on friday and saturday peak time to find 12-16 people on the fleet it makes me /cry. I hate to repeat what many before me have said but these server transfers the devs are talking about for summer can not come soon enough.
  5. hence i said not as clear cut as this. In general though when you think of Sith/empire you think of bad bad people whereas republic are the goody goody types. I mean in reality wouldn't a light side SW be considered a jedi?
  6. Maybe someone has had this idea already and posted it. I'd be surprised if someone hasn't. The idea is that toons can switch sides depending on how light/dark they are. The imps are supposed to be the evil corruptors of the galaxy (yes its not as clear cut as this but in general), so if someone rolls an imp and gets max light side points they are given the option if they want to switch to republic and vice versa. Of course there should be some limits placed on this, perhaps only being able to go once each way but since the classes are pretty much mirrored i don't think it would cause balance issues [discuss].
  7. good survey. interested in result. no issues here, and everything s maxed.
  8. collicoid is great and i want to see more games like this. yeah part of it is a bit strangely designed but nothing you cant get used to. Personally as a tank i like to watch the encounters on youtube before i jump in so im not going in blind and cause a wipe. I would suggest everyone takes a bit of time to watch the fp's before.
  9. i havent received any social points since i was low lvl. I currently have 350 (or so) social points on my main lvl 50 toon that i run fps, and hc q's on a lot. Will there be a way to reimburse players with things like this that they have not received?? i dont really want to grind for social points!!
  10. any orange items don't really have levels afaik. the level of the item depends on how you mod it. to make your lightsaber hit harder just put a new hilt in it.
  11. you don't really have to run around. what you want to do is position mobs strategically. This means not have them hit you from behind and also try to position them so that they face away from your group. This is because mobs can dodge/block etc better from front then back (same goes for you). Only time i can really think of where moving constantly is required would be if you are trying to kite a mob, or if the mechanic requires it (eg you take damage if you stand still).
  12. yeah lol, at first i thought omg unbelievable troll, but then i realised.....:D:D
  13. well i saw your post on the marauder forums. Have you chosen your advanced class (AC)yet?? i.e what level are you? if you havent then go marauder, but since you say that you were going down the immortal tree then i assume that you have chosen juggernaut. Once you have made that choice (AC) there is no going back! So you have 2 choices. you can either respecc into one of the other trees (vengeance or rage); do this in the major city market area and i think there is a place at the fleet too (not sure tho). otherwise start a new toon and go pure dps. if you are new to this genre of game then don't fret with guides. just go out kill some **** and have fun. you will learn along the way and by all means go to as many flashpoints as you can; occasionally you will meet some douche who will call you noob and whatnot but who cares, you are a noob..... we all were . if you are so new to this game i will give a bit of insight into the grouping mechanics. When you go to a flashpoint, or maybe a heroic group quest you will usually go in a group of 4. This usually consists of a tank, a healer and 2 dps (damage per second, or sometimes damage dealer {dd}). the role of the tank is to have all the mobs focus on him/her and this is why tanking can be tough. You need to keep all the mobs attacking you. the healer heals the group, if all is going well only the tank should be getting healed as he should be the only one taking damage. you will find life is not often like this. The tank can not do much damage (thats not his/her job), that job is up to the dps. your group should not be stupid (they will be sometimes) and should allocate which mobs should be taken down first, but dont worry as the tank or healer will specify this. As dps just focus on killing things in whatever order you are told too. there are other things to think about such as crowd control (CC) but you will find that out as you go along. You will make mistakes and probably piss some people off but just keep repeating to yourself "im a noob, im a noob", and eventually you will find yourself saying "im a ***** *** mofo" As dps when you get new skills just pay attention to which ones cause the most damage and use these whenever they are not on cooldown (CD). If you have some epic moves that have a 20 min CD then save those for the big fights. Now go out and enjoy yourself noob!! thats an order.......:D:D
  14. yes most importantly lock your task bar so you dont pull the icons out when click targeting etc. secondly find key bindings that suit your play style; i use 1,2,3,e,f,q for my main abilities and some of the other peripheral buttons (4,r,c,v,) for secondary skills, always have main skills within easy reach. It is also a good idea to have a decent mouse with some extra thumb buttons, these i assign to "get me out of the ****" moves or things that i may use on the fly. Lastly, and please dont take this the wrong way, think about temporarily rerolling to a more dps based class/spec. As Jugg immortal you are a tanking class and as such will tend to tank. If you are new to mmo's then i suggest that you roll as a dps class for a while till you get used to the game mechanics. if you are happy tanking (it is great fun), and feel confident about it then by all means continue..... but most importantly enjoy yourself!!
