  1. I'm not sure if this has already been posted but this is probably my favorite line in the game so far - and it was said by the awesome Talos Drellik during one of his story conversations! Gotta watch it to believe it ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BrIuGOohDU
  2. I haven't read every post in this huge thread but what I'd like to see, in case it hasn't been suggested yet, is for free (manual) transfers from US servers onto APAC servers to be offered again for a limited time (like Bioware offered when the APAC servers initially launched) - I know a lot of Oceanic players that either missed the original transfer window or didn't want to transfer at the time for whatever reason (and so are still playing on US servers) that would LOVE another opportunity to move to the APAC servers. They can offer that for 2/3/4 weeks to see if that helps to bolster the populations (a little) on the APAC servers - after that we can still look at server merges if populations still aren't to a comfortable level. The only other solution that wouldn't involve players losing their character names (which some have had since launch) is to market the game more in the Oceanic region in order to simply get more players playing the game on the APAC servers...
  3. I just thought of something else I DESPERATELY wanted back before the companion hide helm option - an adaptive/orange version of the Merciless Combat Headgear! It's just a simple little headset that extends around your cheek - I wanted that SOOOO BAD on my agent, he would have rocked that out! Sample Pic #1 Sample Pic #2
  4. I would pay an obscene amount of money to look like the dark side vendor on the Imperial Fleet: http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/131/screenshot2012011400511.jpg http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/323/screenshot2012011400520.jpg Or, at the VERY LEAST, I (and undoubtably many of your future FTP players) would expect to find this marauder armor added to the game ASAP (these screenshots were taken from YOUR OWN ARMOR TRAILER): http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/4179/sithwarrior1.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/803/sithwarrior2.jpg I imagine there will be many new players when FTP launches - they would be getting excited like I was before the game launched and watching every official trailer out there to see what to expect when they get into the game. If they choose the marauder advanced class they would be expecting to look like the marauder in the official warrior armor progression at some point and end up being as disappointed as I was when I found out that look was actually impossible for marauders to achieve...
  5. They have made every account on the PTS a FTP account for testing - don't worry, it doesn't affect anything on the live servers...
  6. I just did - with all mods removed, the empty shell still retains the same minimum level requirement
  7. I posted this in http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5313300#edit5313300 but I thought I'd post it here too What I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to see on the Cartel Market was empty customisable armor that was bound to your legacy and could be worn from level 1 onwards (like the current legacy armor) - I was even hoping to find some of the great looking armor that is currently in game but only worn by NPCs. What I really liked in [the other game that shall not be named] was you could buy a piece of "heirloom" gear that could be sent to your fresh alt then worn from level 1 all the way to cap so you could look uber as you were running around your starting zone (as well as the other bonuses you get from wearing that armor) - when you finally replace that armor with endgame gear you could just mail the armor piece to another alt and start the process again. I kind of understand them wanting to put gear complete with mods up for sale on the Cartel Market but I would much prefer them just remove the mods, remove the min level requirement and sell it like that so people could put them on at level 1 to strut their stuff from the word go On another note, I just noticed all of the wearable equipment up for purchase on the Cartel Market is actually artifact quality gear - meaning free players would have to buy the armor then buy a licence to actually wear it... Ouch...

  9. I just noticed on the in-game information for "Authorization: Artifact Equipment" it says that it applies for story and PvP artifact gear - I saw that as meaning the "authorization" for wearing Operations gear comes with the Operations pass (seeing as though you can't even get into the instance without the pass). It would be truly aweful to make a free player pay to get into the operation then pay AGAIN to use anything they might actually gain from it...

  11. I find http://db.darthhater.com to be really handy for finding out the names of the various companion gifts but the way to do it isn't exactly obvious. You click on the "Companions" menu and choose a companion - each companion has 1 or 2 tabs for "favorite" items and "love" items. The information on which gift type applies to each companion isn't always correct but the part that is correct is the name of each grade of gift. If you browse through the various companion pages for long enough you can find the name ov every gift in the game. I'll have a look later on and see if I can fill in a few blanks EDIT- I found an EVEN BETTER way of finding out the names - I remember looking on http://www.torhead.com ages ago but couldn't find any useful info but I just looked again and found a great resource (maybe they recently added it or I was just blind the last time I looked) Go to Items -> Consumables -> Companion Gifts -> All the gifts are listed grouped by type
  12. I'd LOVE to see a region representative appointed as well - eg, I'm an Aussie so it'd be great to have a person fighting for issues specific to Australia/New Zealand - things like unacceptable maintenance downtimes during our prime time. I feel these issues are shrugged off and dismissed too often because we're a relative minority compared to the stronger voice in other regions. I'd feel a lot better knowing there was a specific person sitting in on meetings pushing forward concerns from the AU/NZ player base so I can be sure our concerns are being heard and acknowledged. That person can then deliver updates to the AU/NZ players directly. I'm sure EU players would love to see something like this as well :-)
  13. Hi all, I am just about to finalise my server transfer request to have some of my characters moved over to one of the APAC servers and I just need one question answered (and I apologise in advance if the question has been asked and answered before): I have 2x lvl50 characters, a sith pureblood Warrior and a human bounty hunter (both have 10k affection with all companions so have unlocked the companion type buffs and the additional +100 presence from having completed 10x companions storylines) - do I need to transfer both of these characters in order to gain the same buffs (as well as the species unlocks) on the destination server? Or if I only transfer the Bounty hunter, will I unlock everything I have ever unlocked on the previous server even though I'm not transferring the characters that originally unlocked them? I wouldn't mind leaving my warrior on the server because I use him to do operations with my current guild but if I don't get the sith pureblood species unlock and the warrior companion unlocks unless I actually transfer that toon I'll move him over as well (and maybe move him back when paid transfers become available).
  14. My lvl50 Bounty Hunter is specced as a tank (the shield tech tree) but geared as a DPS (and using the Ion Gas Cylinder) - it seems to be an AWESOME combination for solo play. I still put out a decent amount of DPS but get some extra survivability from the tanky talents. Of course, when I'm grouped I use combustible gas cylinder or the other dps one (can't remember what it's called ) so I don't build too much threat.
  15. I'm pretty sure an app like this was mentioned at the guild summit (and a few other interviews with devs/staff) - it's something a few of the devs would LOVE to do but it's waaaaaaaaaay down on their priority list. When the "new game" teething issues are all sorted out and the devs can sit back and relax with the knowledge that the game is stable and there are no more breaking bugs that need their immediate attention, I'm sure they'll bring out a mobile app with a few minor (mostly cosmetic) features then add more features over time.
