  1. Nobody said anything about "gutting" the raid as the raid version would be untouched. What some people are wanting is another version added so that those who don't raid can see the fruits of their labour, i.e. participate in the end of the story without a need to raid. This would be no different than the solo FPs, as far as the player-side of things. It also shouldn't affect raiders because they should still want to do the raids for the loot, the fun, and whatever other reasons they give for being raiders. Also, the solo version wouldn't have any of the good loot, so that's not even a factor, and it wouldn't have the achievements unless they specifically added solo achievements. In fact, it would probably have very little loot much like the solo FPs seem to have.
  2. Ohhh, gotcha. Are you comparing the same quality item, because I'm pretty sure that is also a factor in the price; I recently created a new outfit on a level 70 and I noticed that when I had two items that had the same appearance, but one was green while the other was purple, the purple cost more to use in the vanity slots for me. The reason I don't speak with exact certainty is that it's been a long time since I played and also I'm preferred so costs are often different for me.
  3. From what I recall, the cost was always dependent on your level. The reason being that higher levels should have more credits, and I guess they also think that just because you have more credits, you are okay with spending silly amounts on stuff.
  4. I always thought it would be nice, although difficult to implement, if skills behaved differently based on if the target is another player or an NPC; that way, PvE and PvP would essentially be separate and changes to the skills could, in theory, only affect one side of things. Wishful thinking, I know.
  5. Can't say I disagree. It's bugged me since 2011 that I find a piece I really like only to have part of the fabric ripped away because I want to wear it on a female character. And then there's the opposite, where I find a piece I like but the male version has added fabric that maybe ruins the look. Yes, we have lots of armour to choose from so we don't have to wear the pieces that do this, but that's not the point at all.
  6. I've had 0 to 5 drop per boss in solo FPs and ended with a total of 8 to 15 Smuggler's Chips per FP; extremely small sampling, though. The Kingpin's Chips have a lower drop rate, I got one off a boss in Taral V and 2 off a boss in one of my Boarding Party runs. Each boss seems to drop one type of chip only, but as I said my sampling is extremely small.
  7. I think most of us overlooked you stating in your OP that the casino was relatively empty, I know I did; all we saw was you complaining about griefing while talking about using four machines. If there are plenty of empty machines for everyone who is there then, yeah, they have no need to be using the machines you are on.
  8. I had this happen on JC last night, and the only sense I can make of it is they want to chase you away by being a jerk. I'd be standing there clicking on 1 or 2 slots with empty slots all around me, and they come right up to where I'm standing. With there being empty slots around, chasing me away really accomplishes nothing because all I have to do is step over the another machine. To the OP, not that you care but you trying to claim griefing while trying to hog 4 machines when it's presumably crowded (as people rush to get their shinies on day one) is laughable. Two machines should be plenty and if it's too crowded, use one until less folks are around. I was using two most of the time last night and that works jut fine because there's only about a second downtime before you can click again; so click machine 1, click machine 2, wait a second and click machine 1 again. People keep talking about the cooldowns but this was how I was doing it last night and there really wasn't much of a wait. Edit: OP said casino was pretty empty, totally overlooked that. If the casino is pretty empty with plenty of machines for everyone then, yeah, the ones specifically going to machines in use while ignoring the empty ones are definitely in the wrong much like what I experienced on JC.
  9. I think all bosses in OPs and FPs (what about world bosses?) have a chance to drop Smuggler and Kingpin Chips. I was using solo versions of Boarding Party, Foundry, and Taral V to grab tokens before going to the casino last night, that way I had enough right off the bat to do the 'play slots 10 times' quest. This works for me because I still have several characters who aren't 70 so they get xp and chips.
  10. I don't know, 200 influence per mission seems pretty nice to me.
  11. You are a month late, the promotion (ability to claim the code) ended May 15th/16th. The already claimed codes themselves are what expire June 15th/16th
  12. As stated by Rankyn, using a referral lets me post on the forums, and I can continue to post until I am logged out of the forums, which will happen with tomorrow's maintenance. I might also throw in that the recent Twitch/SWTOR promotion allows at least preferred players to level to 70; I think somewhere on Reddit was mention about free players but I forget exactly what was said. Anyway, I used the code and I am able to level all of my characters to 70 (I've yet to use any of the 3 free tokens I've acquired), and I own Eternal Throne but not Fallen Empire (except the free Ch. 1, of course) because I haven't subbed since SoR. Thought I would toss this info here before I get kicked out again.
  13. I'm preferred and I still have it from getting the unlock years ago, so either you didn't buy it (you can check via the store) or your accounts are bugged.
  14. Make sure you have the box checked to see exploration missions. I forgot to turn that on on some of my characters and when I was doing dailies on Oricon, recently, I noticed both of these missions were missing. Once I turned it on, I was able to do them.
  15. Time and time again I see someone say that PvPers (or any other group) want this or that, yet when they are given this or that so many choose to not utilize it for one reason or another. Forcing people to PvP is not the answer because you would still end up with the same thing, people not going to the planet the same way they don't use the PvP instance now. It seems obvious to me that a lot of those who say they want open-world PvP don't actually want it because they usually don't participate in it outside of events. Don't get me wrong, we all do this; we say we want something and when it is given to us we don't like it, even if it's exactly what we asked for (or thought we asked for). Some will say that the incentives aren't there, but isn't the main incentive that you get to participate in an activity you claim to enjoy and want? People asking for open-world PvP need to outline exactly what they want, what they expect from it, in great detail. Maybe those saying they want it will realize that's not what they actually want, or maybe everyone will see that there is something specific players want fron open-world PvP that is missing because most of the time, people say they want it but don't really go into detail (maybe because they don't know what they want, like many gamers). In the end, though, PvP is dependent on the players who enjoy PvPing to actually participate in it.
