  1. If you want artifice schematics, go archaeology. Of course there isn't a lot there: custom saber and double saber is about all I've found.
  2. In much the same way as armor can be dyed, I was wondering if weapons can be plated. Much like how Mace Windu got his lightsaber plated in Electrum or whatever. The thing is that this would require changing the model iteslf, namely the specularity of the change compared to original, I guess. Is something like this even doable? Can a item's model be comprised of "sub-models" that are loaded and inserted during buffering? Kind of how a player model is comprised of the character model AND armor models AND item model, the item model can be comprised of different texture models to represent plating.
  3. I've been doing a bit of looking around on Torhead and came across moddable "named" companion items, eg. Kaliyo's Prototype Reinforced Blaster and Mako's Prototype Reinforced Blaster. Where are these things?
  4. Actually I don't think it is. The only thing that would be required is to ensure that armor models ect. work in a predictable manner. I don't have a companion that qualifies as a target species like Togruta so I can't say if armor models work on one all that well. If they work poorly then some updating of the character model will be necessary. If the companion Togruta has conversations with the player then NPC interaction is already taken care of. It seems kind of straight-forward really, unless I've missed something. Have I missed something?
  5. I understand what you're trying to say. But your premise is incorrect: the Sith as a species aren't the progenitors of the Dark Side of the Force, they are merely a species that were able to hold their own in the face of it. The Light Side of the Force doesn't come from certain places or species.
  6. Are you talking about the "reflectiveness" of the object? If so this is called specularity and I'm pretty sure you can't change it that easliy.
  7. I was thinking that maybe dyes could be a little restrictive within the game. How about making dyes a crafting only exercise? For instance, if certain colors could only be crafted by a certain crew skill, say Armormech can do all the primary and secondary grays and Artifice can likewise do all the reds. A player can then just get the right combination of primary and secondary colors and using some gadget combine the two. It might even have some kind of failure process, and just get some mats instead. Maybe certain colors/tones like black, white and silver are reputation based (oh yes, btw I want silver). It's just that the RP is a little dull if I can't look exactly how I want and seeing that the application of dyes is possibly one of the easiest to implement in the game, being RGB values, it shouldn't be this hard to get my toon looking shmick.
  8. a - Free flying speeders - as in being able to move on the third dimension and go up and down. Probably not as it'll require too much alteration to the mount objects. I once had an idea that maybe an owned mount could be used instead of the standard taxi model for taxi trips, as long as it's a flying/floating mount: it'll look weird watching a flying rancor. 2. Neutral Relics - I managed to maintain complete neutrality (light v dark side) with my Bounty Hunter all the way to lvl 55, yet there are no relics that don't require light side or dark side leaning. Agreed, in fact the whole LS/DS is a bit misplaced with non-force powered toons. Not everyone wants to be a Jedi or a Sith 3. An aquatic planet like Mon Calamari (also called Dac) or Kamino with undersea/bubble and floating city questing with a whole new story line (like the Makeb addition). Who else is ready for lvl 60 cap? nice
