  1. Awesome, if you're happy to take double of nothing then I am pleased for you. Does it compensate for the 2-3 days we lost of doubled increased daily gains, maybe, debatable. Does it compensate for 2-3 days of no / extremely disrupted service in the EU, not in the slightest. Keith seemed to think he could get away with providing a dozen one use codes and say we'll do something in the future - especially for the Europeans who lost so much time, and then.... *crickets chirping* The point was... they make grand statements about we'll do this and this and this, and then do nothing of the sort, whilst all the while doing their level best to remove fun from the game.
  2. All I've seen recently were... Unnecessary nerfs to the characters I play You'll get extra CXP if you have multiple 300's.... failing to mention not all of them will count for some daft reason. Removal of any hope of ever getting to CR 300 unless you do the things you've done to death for 10 times longer Some pointless fiddling with the UI to sell me things I don't buy Extortion to continue sub or lose beloved character names Broken promises e.g. 'We'll do something to make up for the 5.4a downtime fiasco -esp for our European players - and then never mentioning it again'. But hey, we have no new content for you so we need you to carry on doing the same old, same old again anyway while we charge you for it and then demand more from the players for some cosmetic junk. Lemme think, shall I spend my money on a one use dye or a new game, hmmm, tough choice. I honestly don't think in 20 years I've ever seen an MMO run so badly, so utterly out of touch with what the players want / expect / pay for. Communication is pathetic, frequently asked questions are ignored, or misleading answers are provided. And you wonder why players get upset and leave.
  3. Most: Agent or Warrior. The only classes I've done with both LS and DS, I enjoyed the stories that much I just had to see them from the other side and it works either way, really well. Knight was fine too, felt like playing KotOR 3, which I think was the point. Least: Smuggler, I guess if the humour appeals to you, it's great. For me it just grated and felt dreadfully forced. Inquisitor was pretty underwhelming as an assassin - continually being played as a gullible patsy got old, real fast, and the companions are not very interesting.
  4. Yep, Rift manages it. World of Tanks / Wargaming manage to update their game versions / servers at a time convenient to each of the 4 server clusters it operates with far, far more players than this game still has left. Am sure many others manage it also. What does it matter if Europe has it's maintenance 6 hours earlier than the US or 18 hours later? I've never understood this fixation on all at once and to heck with the inconvenience it causes . And for the entire life of this game it's always the EU that's at risk of losing it's evening prime time on the not infrequent occasions it overruns or goes wrong. Every. Single. Time. And you wonder why we get annoyed? Maybe ask ArenaNet how they manage to update / maintain GW2 with nary a downtime in 5 years, just the occasional request to restart the game to download a patch.
  5. I got booted out of game from The Progenitor, no server list at all. Restarted game, took an age to load back in to server selection screen. Can get to The Red Eclipse, but Progenitor nope, no response at all..
  6. It may only be a very small amount of money for each person that was affected, but multiply that by how many people BW failed to provide their service to due to their own incompetence. I'm fairly sure that's a decent sum they are receiving for not providing their product. We pay for 30 days access, not 30 less however many BW fail to provide in that period. (ToS and EULA play very much a second fiddle to consumer law and national trading standards, before that argument is trotted out) If the service is unavailable for a significant portion of a day, as it was on Thursday, especially for us European's that day should be added on to sub time. Maybe a delay of the next payments may provide the motivation required to prevent such gross failure in the future. Is it just a few of us that think it not unreasonable to get what we paid for?
  7. Minimum required, to replace what was lost, especially here in the EU where the entire day was a write off. 1 day added to to current subs time. 2 days added to the bonus XP event Although not required adding something small to apologise for the inconvenience would be a nice gesture and go some way to restoring customer confidence. If you choose to give nothing, well be warned, there are other games out there that would like our business instead.
  8. So giving out something to less than 1% of your customers is seen as fair compensation for an error of immense proportions? Every one of your subscribers is affected, every one of them must be compensated. I'd suggest a minimum of extra sub day(s) to replace those lost, also maybe extend the 2xp event to cover the day that's been a disaster. And then maybe a few CC on top for the inconvenience caused to everyone. Try again
  9. Indeed, this was in City of Heroes/ Villains years ago, could talk to buddies cross faction, even across servers all by the use of a global handle. Why more games don't do it I really have no clue
  10. Bit of thread necromancy but all of this is pretty much why I clicked unsub this eve
