  1. Have you played watchman since 3.0? It is all of the following: boring ineffective melee (which means less desirable for ops) no resource management And since 3.2: terrible If you are exclusively a pvper, then you may not see the plight of the sent in pve. It's bad and needs fixing. edit: also its just plain dumb that it requires clipping master strike
  2. Epic lag, disconnects, and queues. Devs pls fix
  3. Just going to update: It appears there is some major server lag with things like the cartel market and mail. I was unable to make a purchase on the CM because it just kept refunding the coins. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
  4. The Harbringer is at standard and I was in a queue to get in the server. I'm a sub, why did this happen?
  5. Don't roll sentinel unless they undo the most recent changes to the class.
  6. I'm glad I hung up the sentinel after 3.0. Tried playing it, was annoyed by the cauterize, went back to my cool vanguard. Guess I won't need to go back with 12xp.
  7. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=807821 TO ANSWER THE QUESTION BEFORE EVERYONE FLYS OFF THE HANDLE Yes
  8. I've recently seen a lot of people displeased with SWTOR. (actually I have never seen these forums pleased by anything and we are in year three) I decided that Bioware should implement some simple changes to help people when they browse the forums. I want the implementation of days to post about certain topics! It will go something like this. Tirade Tuesday: Rant all you want about how broken or messed up you class is and how Bioware is failing to fix it. Complain about how they have no idea what they are doing and ask that they share metric gathering with you. Get angry when they reveal a metric they use to balance classes. Wailing Wednesdays: Post a totally original thread about how the game is dying. Be sure to include the name of your characters so people can ask you for your stuff. Reminisce about SWG and how it was the superior MMO that was oddly cancelled. Time-out Thursday: Stop posting on the forums because you think it accomplishes nothing. Fly off the handle Fridays! (SPECIAL EDITION): If no community representative has posted in the last two days, post a thread about how little the devs care about the game they are getting paid to make. If a dev posts something comedic, rip them a new one. All other days of the week: Don't post about any of the things listed above. That way people can post about other things that are not those (i.e. ideas to improve gameplay, specific instances where certain classes can be favored over others, evidence to back those claims up, things you did in game like 10/10 HM, ect.) I'm sure that with these new rules, the forums will become a nice place to participate in discussions about SWTOR for three out of the seven days a week.
  9. I don't understand why people keep assuming I haven't done ToS and Rav, I am pretty sure I said that in the OP. This new format isn't for me, it's for new raiders
  10. I like the idea of HM ops being the entry level ones (EV, KP, EC) as they are harder than the poor new flashpoints we have (minus the bonus boss on Rishi, wonder what Bioware was thinking there). Maybe have them drop 184 gear and then have HM TFB, S&V, DF, and DP drop 186 with set bonus. I don't like the idea of 192 because that gear should be reserved for the harder SM ops like Rav and ToS. The amount of assumptions and implications in this post are so funny that it does not warrant a constructive response.
  11. That's a pretty good idea, and the OP could give more XP or something to make it worth while for lower levels while higher levels go for the adaptive armor sets ect. The only problem you would run into is that eventually everyone would have said gear. You TL;DR my post and then post something contrary to what I proposed. Gear won't be "handed out." Ops will be scaled to level 60 (as in all enemies will have level 60 health, do level 60 damage ect.). The gear that drops will be basic and elite comms along with 186 gear (maybe it has a set bonus).
  12. When ToR first started out, operations felt like a progression. It was more than just downing SM then HM. EV was easier than KP. KP was easier than EC. EC was easier than TFB. Then S&V came out with ROTHC and we had everyone clamoring to do S&V. S&V was downed pretty quickly, even if HM was a bit of a challenge. The problem with S&V was that it was a beginning to a problem that now plagues operations. EV, KP, and EC essentially stopped being completed. TFB was the "entry level" operation. The only problem was that TFB was far more challenging than EV and yet it was the entry level operation for 55. Any new player would have a much harder time entering ops. Flash forward to now and you have The Ravagers and Temple of Sacrifice SM which are way harder than any of the entry level ops. The Ravagers can be completed with a couple of people who have never done it, but TOS is only attempted by those who have done it or know that whoever is in their group has a very firm understanding of all the mechanics. I'm not talking about HM here, I'm talking about SM. SM ops, the supposed entry level ops, are too hard for new players to get into. So here is what I propose. Don't nerf new content. Bring back old content to help educate newer and returning players on how to handle operations. Make EV, KP, and EC drop 186 gear (maybe even throw in set bonuses on the gear). Make S&V and TFB drop 190 gear or something like that and have DF and DP do the same. That way people can become acclimated to what it is like to be in a raid and not be thrust into Bulo wrecking them because they don't understand how mass barrage really is a massive barrage. Start them off with the simple storm protocols that create little red circles that can be avoided. This won't just help pugs, it will help guilds too. I've been in guild raids and I can see that the post ROTHC players simply aren't as good as those who were playing before. Call me elitist, but they never had to experience HM Kephess, or worse; Downing Soa when the platforms were bugging out. Edit: Because people somehow think I have implied in this post that I cannot do the new SM Ops, I will clarify and tell them that they are wrong. The idea behind this new system would be for newer raiders who have not had as much experiences with operations.
