  1. I personally have yet to experience what you're talking about. But if it's a concern for you, I'm sure you're well within your rights to report it or make a forum post about it yourself. Otherwise, please try to stay on topic.
  2. Yes, I've heard about some people who dislike our method of recruiting on starter planets. Yes, we invite people. Often we just see that they're without a guild and we click them and invite them, and sometimes we use the gen chat <invitation> method as well. It's an invitation, and people are not forced to accept or stay. Also, we're not trying to hide what we're doing because there's nothing wrong with inviting a person to a guild without a prompt from that person. Yes, some people find it irritating, but we've created a pretty large guild in a very short time, so there's obviously a lot of people who don't mind being recruited this way. In fact, I've been in a lot of failed guilds who've recruited the <traditional way>, and a unprompted invitation was the way I joined this guild as well, first on an alt character, then I brought most of my alts and mains into the guild as well. (if there's a different issue that I'm not aware of, something against the ToS, please PM me and I'll try to look into it). If you're talking about the Purge that happens regularly, yes it's our way of making room for active players to join. Yes, some people are mistakenly purged. The guild system is improved, but it still leaves a lot to be desired in tracking and members management. But here's the thing: We're not actively going out of our way to spam a couple hundred people en masse, (possibly several hundred including republic side) on fleet with the sole intention of interrupting and hindering everyone's ability to read chat, make trades, talk about PVP, form groups and everything else the chat system is used for; creating a huge gong show of "what the F is going on" (which IS against the ToS).
  3. Tonight around 10:00 PM (PDT), myself and everyone on fleet experienced something that is making the SWTOR community more and more toxic each day. Members of (a guild that is apparently not to be named and their alt guilds) were spamming chat filler messages on fleet, causing everyone else to lose their minds and wonder what was happening. Not only this, but some members (of said guild not to be named) were also actively blaming the guild that I belong to, it's members and GM, while also spamming chat at the same time (SMH). I watched, recorded and whispered a few people assuring them that if we saw a member from our guild doing this that they would be dealt with immediately. None of our members seemed to be involved (from my research). They seemed to think that everyone on fleet is too stupid to see the names of those posting the spam, but it was easy to shrink the chat text size and see who the culprits were. Now, there's someone else posting an alt-code character that makes the chat window fill blank, and even if you expand the window and shrink the text, we're unable to see who's doing it. But, I'm sure the game devs would be able to see it if they investigated. Once people realized that they could see the names, others started listing them in chat. And I imagine that MANY or all of those people have been reported for spam. I'm just wondering if anything actually happens to spam reports? We do it to credit spammers, but they just show up again. Devs, please do something about this. Toxic players like these are the cancer of the online community. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with toxic people playing the game in general; they have a right to play too, even if I don't like how they conduct themselves. But when they start spamming and slandering other players for their actions, it has become a problem that requires action. Mods, please move me as I'm informed this is possibly the wrong section of the forum.
  4. I've been playing with my settings quite a bit, and I think I have it mostly where I want it to look like. But I really want a noticeable DoF. I've been tweaking and tweaking, but it's always either all blurry, or all clear . Any suggested figures I should be using? Any help is would be appreciated
  5. While decorating my SH today, I thought: Wouldn't it be cool if BW implemented a series of audio hooks? An example of what I'm talking about is, if you had decorated a room to be like a cantina, but you could also add ambiant audio clips, to make your cantina hoppin' and more lively.
