Yes, I've heard about some people who dislike our method of recruiting on starter planets. Yes, we invite people. Often we just see that they're without a guild and we click them and invite them, and sometimes we use the gen chat <invitation> method as well. It's an invitation, and people are not forced to accept or stay. Also, we're not trying to hide what we're doing because there's nothing wrong with inviting a person to a guild without a prompt from that person. Yes, some people find it irritating, but we've created a pretty large guild in a very short time, so there's obviously a lot of people who don't mind being recruited this way. In fact, I've been in a lot of failed guilds who've recruited the <traditional way>, and a unprompted invitation was the way I joined this guild as well, first on an alt character, then I brought most of my alts and mains into the guild as well. (if there's a different issue that I'm not aware of, something against the ToS, please PM me and I'll try to look into it). If you're talking about the Purge that happens regularly, yes it's our way of making room for active players to join. Yes, some people are mistakenly purged. The guild system is improved, but it still leaves a lot to be desired in tracking and members management.
But here's the thing: We're not actively going out of our way to spam a couple hundred people en masse, (possibly several hundred including republic side) on fleet with the sole intention of interrupting and hindering everyone's ability to read chat, make trades, talk about PVP, form groups and everything else the chat system is used for; creating a huge gong show of "what the F is going on" (which IS against the ToS).
