  1. Okay, so, i recently had someone ask me to roleplay with them in this game. I've kept my account active but hadn't played for a few months. I patched up which took over half an hour, but I kept getting this error code 7. Now, my video card drivers were up to date, but even so I even uninstalled my drivers and then reinstalled them. I closed the launcher and reopened a few times, I've tried entering game several times, yet I still get code 7. I'm running windows 7 x64, and I should be good to go. I even tried running the swtor installer over my install directory, yet no go still. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. So, recently I upgraded my graphics drivers for my Radeon HD 7770 and now I can't see water on Tython anymore, anyone know a solution?
  3. Now, I've kept my subscription going as who knows, I might actually want to log in and RP sometime, but I've actually not really played the game since the launch of the 55-60 content. Why? I couldn't stand going back to the same old leveling style after the 12x spoiled me. I -loved- leveling by only doing the class story missions, and I want the 12x class story xp to return. Regardless. A few valid points were made. I've played this game off and on since early launch, and Bioware NEVER pays us back for the millions of credits we lose. Heck, I remember having to pay HUGE fees to learn speeder piloting early on in the game, and even having to pay to train to get the sprint power at level 4 I think. Did I ever get a refund on each character that paid to learn these things? Nein. Nyet. No. Never. I recall it costing at least a hundred thousand credits or more to learn just speeder piloting 1, then I learned speeder piloting 2 which was even more exorbitantly expensive. I mean, it's not like these training powers for speeder piloting actually came with a speeder, that might justify the extreme cost at the time. That, of course, isn't the only issue. I love not having to pay for training now, but it also means that I've wasted millions training in the past on many characters. Will I ever see a return on that investment? No. Did I exploit this issue? No, as I said, I wasn't in game during any of this. Would I have exploited? Yes. If you guys know about this issue before it even goes to live, and wait over four weeks to do anything about it, that's your fault, not mine. You guys make mistakes to mess us over, why not let us take advantage of your mistakes when it finally benefits us? ___________________________ And during this crusade, you could have done something more productive, like instituting 12x xp as a 3x xp for each class buff unlocked, fixing the many bugs in the game, releasing a new playable species (I want Zeltron, but many seem to prefer Togruta.) As a roleplayer, leveling up quickly and having more species options is -highly- important to me, to the point that yes, I'd pay to unlock them, but frankly I think they should be free to subscribers. These changes would bring more life into the game. Give us new species to level as, give us 12x xp but make us have to be subscribers if that helps you, a lot of people -would- pay for the sub if it meant 12x class story exp for their characters. A lot of people would return to the game as it's these side missions that people get tired of being forced to do a hundred times one different characters, it's why people do Kuat Drive Yards many times a day for the EXP. People would rather do THAT than the mind numbing tedium that comes with normal leveling. I've done those side missions myself what feels like a hundred times, but I -love- the class story missions. During 12x xp, I didn't even cringe at doing worlds I normally -loathe-, like Balmorra.
  4. Well, see, that's where you lose me. We have a Togruta companion for one of the characters and they made her able to wear armors and such, and it's not really that different than Twi'lek, just add horns.
  5. Zeltron and Togruta for me.
  6. It's been a while since we've seen the release of Cathar, and I was -so- excited then. I bought Cathar for something new and to help promote them adding more new species. Now, a year and three months later I haven't even heard rumors of a new species possibly being added. I've seen great new mounts, like the Rancor (which I still want, I'm waiting for THAT to be added to the CC store), and new armors I love, but no new species. As a roleplayer, new species for me mean new story potential, not just for me to RP as but for others to RP as. I'd personally love to see Zeltrons as a playable species, but if not them, Togruta could be interesting too. It would just be nice to see any new species as playable. I was really expecting to hear some kind of rumor or announcement long before now. Think they'll add more new species, preferably sometime while it's still 2014?
  7. Can anyone tell me what they think about what I posted here? I didn't get any responses and I was curious. I'm not complaining, I just sincerely got confused there by what people were saying and my experience there.
  8. Okay, I'm reading things that confuse me in this topic. When I was in the Thanksgiving beta weekend.. I seem to remember there being different instances of planets. How do I know that? Simple, I got recruited into a team for a quest that was in a different instance of the world and it told me that and asked if I wanted to zone into that instance of the world. So, why would it be a big deal to have a lot of people come into the game for the starting areas? They'd just automatically do more instances, meaning your instance shouldn't have /too/ many people.
  9. Thanks! Those of us with the ability to read, reason, and have some measure of logic should stand up for Bioware against the QQ'ers.
  10. I didn't complain once in that post about Bioware, in fact I commended and thanked them several times. Also, to the other guy who commented on my post. They weren't lied to by Bioware, Bioware specifically said that they would send releases out in the order the codes were submitted from the pre-orders. They also originally said the pre-launch would be the 15th but it was moved up to the 13th, so they gave us two extra days to get all these waves in for us all to enjoy pre-launch. Bioware, you /are/ my favorite game company and have been for several years now, starting with Knights of the Old Republic.
  11. I'm also getting tired of all of the posts of people complaining. I'm upset I didn't get in today too, but then I didn't expect to get in today, I just hoped. See, I knew that they were going to do it in waves for each day. Why? Because Bioware said they were going to. This game was originally scheduled to pre-launch on the 15th, not the 13th. The same people that are complaining they didn't get in today would still not have got in on the 15th if they still launched on that day like originally planned, these two days are a blessing for all of us, even those that didn't get in today. Why? Simple. We still get in earlier than we would have otherwise. They said they'd do it in waves, so we'd have got in much later than if the game launched on the 15th, these two extra days are a gift to us all. I entered my code in late November, I probably won't get in until at least two days from now but you won't hear my complain once here. Kudos Bioware, thank you. I played in two beta weekends, once about a year ago.. the last time was this last Thanksgiving weekend. I was left psyched after each of those two weekends. I hope that rumor about the guild leaders getting in early is true, as I lead a guild on Lord Adraas, but I'll take that rumor with a grain of salt myself. Don't let the children get you down Bioware employees, I trust in you and your games, you perpetually churn out games that I come to cherish and I think you all for your hard work and I know that I can trust you with the Star Wars legacy, one of my favorite storylines of all time.
  12. Excuse me? They promised to start Preorder early launch on the /15th/, they started the 13th to get people in sooner, more likely. If they started this on the 15th as planned you would probably have still had to wait as long as you did, this way you get in sooner at least. Show some support. Do I wish they would keep on putting more waves in? Yes. Will I complain or wish the game to go down the tubes and make myself sound like a child because I didn't get in today like I hoped? No. I have some dignity. I love Bioware and I trust in them and their games, they perpetually churn out wonderful RPG games and when I was in beta, it was a wonderful experience in both weekends I was in.
