  1. I can't speak about after changes with 1.2 but as a Guardian since Early Access. I can say that I find personally that the Guardian is my overall favorite for Utility and survivability. Our Dmg as tank spec is above average I'd say but I think the other class has a bit higher dmg output compared to Guardians but we can easily hold our own and take almost every class 1 on 1. I find myself even taking up to 3-4 people at the same time in Voidstar while waiting for teammates to aide me, granted I don't last terribly long but enough to keep them from planting and my team coming to help out. The guardian class also works very effectively as a DPS spec and using the tank form to both aide teammates and do a very good amount of dmg. Just added food for thought. I do change spec's when I get too bored doing the same thing too much.
  2. Yes yes... rated warzones... but what about people not in PVP guilds that like to pvp? What if they want to just solo queue once in a while even if they are in pvp guilds? Why not make pvp always worth ur time and fun to do?
  3. I've already said 3 times. "AFTER Cross Server queue's"! Please read before posting the same comments over and over. lol
  4. I'm actually talking about something like this being made after they implement the cross server queue's which are already in the works. But I have to say that even a noob can get the hang of things and be effective quick. I mean as a 16 Sage I was PVPing without a clue as how to truely use the class and was very helpful and productive to the team after about 5 minutes. I just sat back and buffed, healed and cc'd. Granted i have tons of PVP experience with my guardian but things change a lot from melee to sage. I also find it interesting that most people seem interested in the idea. I never found out how the FPS games decided to factor the "skill points", because I had games i did horrible and gained skill points and I had games I completely demolished everyone in those games and actually lost skill points. But the devs found a good way to decide the skill points that kept the teams very well balanced and made the matches very interesting. Honestly I think the best thing for something like this to work and would make things a lot easier once cross server queue's start and ranked warzones begin... is just make it so that non-ranked can't queue as a group. I mean no real reason to queue as a group unless u want to go for ranked matches imho. What do u guys think?
  5. Hey guys. I'm curious what people would think about something like a "Skill Level Bracket"? I'm kinda tired of being roflstomped or stomping a entire team in PVP? I think this would be something like a Ranking system, but take it a step further. I found a few FPS gmes that used a Skill system to balance games which worked very well to make the matches more intense and interesting. By balancing the teams based on each persons skill level makes it a lot easier to make PVP matches equally challenging for both teams as long as people work together. Just curious to see what people would think of something like that type of system instead of using a ranking bracket or something like that.
  6. This is very true my friend. But other than Force Kick the others don't prevent u from casting the spell again. Force Leap is a good one but in a actual PVP match i'm push is usually on CD 80% of the time trying to keep tanks away. Also 90% of the time my Force Statis doesn't stop anything. I dunno if it's the resolve or what but almost everytime i see my animation and channeling but the people keep doing that their doing without being interrupted or stunned.
  7. btw... as a Jedi Guardian i only have really 2 ways to intterupt ur healing casts and their cooldowns r a lot longer than ur healing cooldowns. So.... Fail on you.
  8. I have to agree with the OP on most of his post. I've had a few encounters with healer classes. I have to admit it's ridiculous when I'm full Champion geared Jedi Guardian with DPS spec'd Force Sweep and I can't beat a Sith Inquistor that can just heal though all my dmg. Before you can say it's more than one healer or something, this has also happened when it was just 1 vs 1 in Ilum, and no one else in the whole warzone area. I also find it ridiculous that when a full team of people working together become impossible to kill an enemy in a PVP match because of them having 3-4 healers. I agree that there has to be more of a cooldown in PVP or something. I just think that having 3-4 healers on your team makes it impossible to kill or stop a ball carrier. Cuz by the time they reach the fire pits and such their resolve is full and can't be stunned or something so they just keep walking through everything even with 6-7 people pounding on the ball carrier. Especially with the dev staff currently nerfing dmg of most dps classes.
  9. Very true. I have to agree 100% I'm just worried that with these nerfs that keep hitting Biochem that it'll actually make the end game more difficult (especially if they balance the ops difficulties), because at this rate Biochem will start to become obsolete and people will move onto another skill and leave this to rot in the sands of Tatooine. Than who will make the stims for those that raid and need them? I know I most likely wont if their is no benefit for me to keep it (at least not a competitive reason). Give me a reusable Rakata with Exotech stats and I'm happy. But give me a reusable less than Exotec (that i can sell), and i'll switch to a profession that will make me money and benefit myself when 1.2 comes around March (I can easily get to 400 in any skill in a week). Using that as a reason to show basically cause and effect with these "nerfs".
  10. Honestly I thought the same way as your stating right now. But as of yesterday I changed my thought process on that subject in reguards to SWTOR. Reason being is because I noticed that since hitting 50 and getting full Columi/Rakata gear. My Damage hasn't increased but more than 500 on crits and about 50-100 on normal hits (even my biggest attacks). This being after I realized my damage has only increased by such a small margin after going from not using stims and running around in PVE in full PVP Centurion gear to now. Which has translated to more than 300 more strength than when in Centurion gear (including Stim). So honestly I do see how 20ish more of a stat is gonna make or break the raid. Especially since my guilds haven't required and most don't use Biochem, yet we still succeed.
  11. I gotta say that I agree with the OP. This is a outrage. I understand what BW is trying to do, but it's the wrong way to do it. I mean you all say "It's reusable". YES! It should be. We have to gather and craft our way to 400, then to make any money besides supplying ourselves with stims and adrenals would require us to have a reusable version. Now as for the whole, "well Rakata stims are required for Operations" This is complete and utter b/s. I've been in the top 2 raiding guilds on my server and I've been the 1 of 2 people that use Biochem. I actually supply my guild with stims so they can save money, and provide them for free since i make so much just doing dailies. For those of you that are in guilds that require it.... LEAVE! You pay to play the game. Make a guild that doesn't require it. You pay for the game, not ur guild. Now do I agree that they should nerf Rakata stims? Yes, but not to lower than Exotech. I think to be fair it should be the same as Exotech, so as to make it fair for having to require 400 Biochem to use. I think that's a fair compromise that can even the balance out. This will also let people who don't really want Biochem to switch over to another skill, if that's what they choose, but don't MAKE people change because they like Biochem. As for it being OP, as others have said earlier in this thread. All other skills are gonna get buffs. Those nice Rakata pieces u make can crit into better ones. Also u can get a Augment slot. Which seems to me far better in the long run than those gear set bonus's which sounds like those set bonus's with come with the armoring's and such. So your Armor can sell for way more than we could ever hope for in one sell which would take us a ton more to pull off. So Please give me a honest and respectful response to explain why we should be nerfed that badly when in the future (i think in March when 1.2 comes) your all gonna be far more valuable than us and we'll be left with stuff weaker than your using because their "reusable". Given the fact we might want to make a profit off our profession.
  12. I know all this. I'm saying against ppl in PVP with better or worse gear it's the same. And in PVE i'm fighting mobs in both Ops HM FP's and on planets from both normal enemies to Champions the dmg is all the same. Whats confusing me if with the increase of my stats since 50 i've still not increased the dmg of this ability. Which isn't lie a hugh problem since 4-5K is great dmg it's just confusing that with the increased stats I'm still doing the same amount of dmg against the same enemies.
  13. Hey guys, I'm a 50 Jedi Guardian Focus spec'd. I'm 31 Focus and 10 Vigilance. I've been playing this spec for a while since being in full centurion gear. Since then I've gotten full Champion gear and now almost full Columi/Rakata gear... and my Force Sweep does the exact same dmg. When i was full Centurion gear my force sweep was doing 4-4.5K Sweeps. Now with full Columi/Rakata and Full Champion gear I still only do 4-5K Sweeps. But I've not got more than 300 more strength since I started on this build. So i'm trying to find out if there is a dmg cap or something because I think with more surge and power combined with 300 more Strength I should be able to do 5-7K Sweeps consistently. Anyone able to give some feedback about how to increase the dmg or if it was nerf'd or something? Thank you for your feedback.
  14. I agree. I actually love the Fact that now keeping control of points in Ilum boost our Valor from WZ's. Sadly though it's worthless on Wall of Light server. Because 90% of lvl 50's don't PVP. Which I don't understand because that's almost all you can do. I can never get a group together for a Hard Mode Flashpoint. Also Raids but that's only once a week for each. So all I can do in between is PVP. I got to Illum.... oh I see 1-2 Republics there, I step out into Central zone.... and find 5-30 Sith. Bioware. Please add a incentive for people to actually go to Ilum. Give us bag drops for kills or Commendations etc. We need a program that gets Republic players to go there and participate. I love the idea of Ilum right now (except the absuredly high about of kills for the daily). Half the time I'm in the Warfront of Ilum I'm lucky to find 2-3 other Republics to go fight some Sith and sometimes it's only 1-2 Sith.... until they tell their friends Republic are here and then all a sudden a whole guild is there. Make some kinda influence in the whole world of Ilum to make a reason for People to fight over the territory. Like 100% increase to exp gain for PVE side. Give the non-PVPer's a reason to join in. Instead of rolling a story to 50, then leaving that character forever to just make another lvl 1. Also the 50 brackets is great in most aspects but sadly it seems no just my server but many others have a lack of lvl 50's that PVP. I understand not creating a cross-server queue for Flashpoints and all. Can we atleast implement one so that servers with low 50 PVPer populations atleast can get a queue without waiting 10-40 minutes for a match that lasts 120 seconds? Also on the Ilum issues. Can there please be a reward implemented for taking objective area's? Like reward Valor or Commendations? Just giving a buff for Valor gains isn't enough to make people go and take them except for PVP guilds, which on my server is only Sith guilds. I have yet to see one PVP guild on Wall of Light. Finally, if nothing can be done to fix the 50 brackets PVP issues, can you at least create a system to transfer our characters to a PVP server? I Honestly don't want to make a new character on a PVP server just so i can queue. I honestly hate OWPVP is why i went to a PVE server but I do love to PVP when I feel like it.
  15. I guess I should have thought of a different title for it lol. It was just to get people attention and maybe read the post and comment back (not just trolls). I doubt it'll kill the game too... way too early for that. I just think that after not fixing the real issues present and then patching new content already... it just sends a bad message to their players that their priorities aren't fixing the current issues but adding more content. Which I think they need to work on both evenly.
