  1. Hey guys, Just letting you all know that this even will proceed as planned for Section X. There was some spontaneous open world at Oricon yesterday, hope people got their titles. IF it happens that ppl still go to Oricon anyway today to pvp, then we will make up our minds on the spot. Plz keep communication open so that everyone knows where the fight is (and most likely converge to one place whichever it may be) - that way it will be more fun for all. Regards, Gamblor
  2. Hey guys, Just letting you know that this event will proceed. Good luck, and have fun! G'amblor - SnX
  3. Hey Gallows, SnX will be looking to queue tonight and tomorrow night mid-late apac hours. We won't have the standard ranked team, nor have we even practiced 8v8 on our current composition so it should be a fair bit of fun - just looking for a few "last hurrah" games. I'm pretty sure we only have 1 gunslinger who probably won't play. A few of our toons also haven't maxed ranked coms as well so we should be keen. we only have around 6-8 regular players so hopefully we all come online at the same time or we can pick up a few of our non-guild dalborra friends. Regards, Gamblor
  4. Steelclaw, you are waay too nice...
  5. Got mine from Battle of Illum HM FM from one of the smaller bosses. Trying to find a fair selling price, but i can confirm that if you use it in WZs, knockbacks will knock the crate back and wont bring you out of it. Also, using charge breaks you out of the crate. Jack-in-the-box!
  6. Gibbin returned as well lol
  7. Hey guys, Thanks again for the kind words. Met a lot of nice ppl here. I’ve lasted a week with no regrets. Miss u guys a lot and hope everyone is doing well - and the game isn’t too imbalanced. And PS to Keiga – my win rate skyrocketed when I developed the dual gear mindset where I could play offence by default, or when we were 2-1 nodes behind, and where I could play defense when we were 2-1 nodes up, or when I needed to distract players from the true node we were targeting. Either way, I was never going back to annihilation when I realised that bleeds nullified two of my best cooldowns – which could be used in both attack or defense. Either way, with the dual gear mind-set I found that we won PLENTY of games we just “shouldn’tve” won – which were my favourite moments in this game. These games never happened when I just tried to do full damage all game. Frog, I made my own nades – could make 15 per night with 2 relogs – 15 should last the night Mosh, I know myself, I will get addicted… badly… GG My gamer tag will always be gamblor – so don’t be afraid to ask if you see me in another game Regards, Gamblor the Horseman
  8. Lastly, I have always held my tongue on the threads regarding this final topic. Here is my list of the best players I have played with and or against. This is my opinion and is based on my experience and will surely differ from others – it is also based on when people have similar gear (yes there was a gear gap a year ago, where people could carry WZs on their own ala Mesaki – this list is what I think based on similar gear gap). In fact this list is purely on WZ awareness alone. It’s not about numbers in my belief, but to anticipate and pre-empt the opposition’s next move. This list, in that regard are the people I love/hate playing with/against, and make winning/losing a much more difficult/easy task. Also there are a lot of people not on this list – despite the length of this post, I haven’t got all day – apologies to anyone I missed. DPS: Assassins/Shadows: Jwalsh > Peek > Maglev > Selianne, Ewa Operative/Scoundrel: Heala > Timmey/Snivy, Blackmunkey Marauder/Sentinel: Forcebringer, Moshelle Powertech/Vanguard: Woofi > Noodle, Throes, AXR Snipers/Gunslingers: Varlan Juggernaught/Guardian: Aznpower Mercenary/Commando: Chasity > Kript Tanks: Atrummos > Tetujun > Toughmudder Healers: Operative/Scoundrel: Steelclaw > Krackers/Kozlovski > Timbohh Sorcerer/Sage: Labrynth/Toxic, Whisp, Geographic, Evaniax, Veronika Mercenary/Commando: Miri, Daffy It would have been interesting to see how guys like Mesaki, LBW, Godzilla, Noco, Kramer and the likes fare in the last couple of months (pre-double XP weekends) where I thought the gear gap was at its lowest. They probably would have excelled too. Special mention to Jwalsh and Steelclaw, who were in my opinion are the best DPS and Healer in the game. I’ve counted many occasions we were getting smashed in a WZ only for Jwalsh to join ops and completely turn games on their head (yes I was queued solo and had no guildies with me). He knows when to cap, when to switch targets, when to stun, and when to kill. I’ve also said it many times that I have never been healed by anyone better than Steelclaw – even though I kite her range most of the time, she still manages to keep myself and her (remarkably) alive. Finally, this will be my last post – I imagine there could be trolling so I choose not to bite. Thanks to everyone in Dalborra. Keep trying to learn, to innovate, and to have fun in WZs. Enjoy the new content, smash those Americans on merge, and most of all – just have fun. “Heals on Gamblor!” Regards, Gamblor – Sith Legion, What’s Wrong with Your Face, Seraphic Nexus G’amblor – MVP, Samurai Pizza Cats, Return of the Jedi
  9. Dear Dalborra, All good things must come to an end. With the launch of 2.0, I announce my retirement from the game. This isn’t one of those things where I come back a week later – when I first started playing a year ago, I was determined not to get addicted to an MMO like I have previously (5 years to be exact). That said, I decided that I would retire once the level cap increased – and unfortunately on January, that date was inevitable. Both my PVP guilds knew this, and it is not an un-sub due to the merger. In fact, I admit I would probably have moved to Bastion had the merge come earlier than 2.0. That being said, I do apologise to anyone I flagged on Black Hole over the past year. I know I did it again on Sunday for old time’s sake, and yes it was extremely fun at the time. I think I really should have rolled to a PVP server – if it wasn’t for RL friends convincing me to play a PVE server then I would have done just that. I would like to thank both sides of the PVP community as well as the ROTJ guild for my latter PVE raids. I had fun in all aspects of this game. I enjoyed the chatting and fun on TS, vent and mumble – that is something I’ve never had before in a game. I enjoyed soloing End of Torvix weekly, and doing TFB HM. I’ve enjoyed watching the game and PVP evolve over the year, and watching different styles and builds becoming better or worse, and trying to adapt on each occasion. Whether it be going full bleed spec marauder and rolling with Forcebringer, or realising how ineffective that got when the gear gap drew thinner and switching to a defensive mind-set with carnage/combat. I enjoyed learning people’s play styles and strategies on each warzone, testing out whether crazy moves like the hypergate fake-out worked or not (it did when we tried), or the fake huttball pass to lure out a stealther and leap to him to score. Even learning how to beat Atrummos on a huttball by just letting him score and playing counter-attack style, or playing a 3-3-2 on civil could be extremely effective to get the sides with the right balance. To carry two sets of gear (offence and defence) and to modify this gear mid-game (i.e. whilst running to attack or defend a node) - using 4 different setups to suit the situation was fun and in my opinion extremely effective. These kinds of puzzles are what I enjoyed the most in this game. I would like to thank the members of SNX and WWWYF. This was the first PVP guild I joined and I learned a lot. Geo and Saedus were good leaders – even though I disagreed with a few decisions in the latter stages, Saedus’ passion to organise events is undeniable. I’ve met some great friends here, even just talking about random stuff made my nights sometimes. Big shout out to the consistent members – Evaniax, Mokey, Woofi, Veronika, Throes, AXR, Whisp, Visored, Grimjaw, Gibbin, Madalyn, Maglev, Whisp, Ganj, Caydance, Czvack, Martian, Strongshot, Azza, Nhorn, Geographic, Atrummos, Khonan, Forcebringer, Melsin, and of course Grogguzzler – who brings the most entertainment at night when he lives up to his name. I will definitely miss playing this game on Fridays whilst waiting for my plane to board back to Sydney. Thanks to the ex-members of these guilds too, I understand your reasons and the leader’s reasons but enjoyed playing with you guys nevertheless – Lexira, Decks, Dangk, Spaztik, Andy, Krackers, Lerorn to name a few. I would like to thank MVP and SPC for taking me in and helping me learn to become even better. It was a big leap and an enjoyable one to make switching to pub. I learned how to play carnage from Mosh and once I went there, I never looked back. It opened up the possibility to play a proper defensive setup. Getting to play with Jwalsh, Mosh, Aznpower, Steelclaw, Labby, Chasity, Munk, Illeana, Cortella, Satoki was a privilege. I got to see how everyone plays and see where people were susceptible – on both factions. Thoroughly enjoyable.

  11. 1) Managing a rated team is a lot harder than managing a premade. Most of the time 1-2 ppl in an 8-man group will need to go offline after a game or two. Lots of people dont want to commit to playing 2hrs straight (with no breaks for dinner or misc etc) 2) When forming a rated, the pops will take longer if one of the rated groups pops to a normal Q. The other ranked teams will have to wait until the first group is finished with the regular pop before the Q gets going again (painful wait). 3) There are around 1-2 games going per night (4 lots of 8 at max). Really not that many ppl that Q for WZs - splitting them up even further may even cause no one to pop in any game. When that happens, the rated team just Q for normal. 4) Some rated teams only Q when everyone is on TS or Vent. Some ppl just cbf and want a casual game. With that being said, there is room for rated when leaders of two guilds communicate and agree to Q up together. As soon as a third guild Qs, 1 team waits an entire WZ without a pop. It is gonna happen when there are an odd number of teams - and when that happens the odd team stops Q, then if one of the other teams disband, the cycle continues. Which really just ends up being everyone Q for normal. Basically the way its structured isnt that great - but i haven't got another solution so i'm not gonna dwell on it.
