I see your point but then why are the class quests so interesting? Because the way in which these kill quests/fedex quests are intertwined are really interesting. Sidequests just flat out state, "go here and killX" and there is a mob standing in an open field. Sometimes this will contradict the dialogue. For example, on the Taris bonus mission, you are asked to go kill 5 Cathar warriors, but first you have to "draw them out into the open because they are in hiding" . But then you get there and there they all are standing out in the open, just standing there. The amount of sidequests is really not required either. Why not create one big narrative quest with interesting stories and events, rather then 5 x go kill some of these and come back please.
The last two bonus missions quest on Taris had me run to pretty much a copypasta building, and click on three objects in the same place, for different reasons.
