  1. Well I loved SWG, it gave me some of the best moments I've had playing online. It also gave me the worst ones, I only had 1 holocron to unlock and three professions to master when they changed the system (not the NGE, the "spend your points here in this stupid village" system). I loved the crafting and I definitely would love to see something similar here, but I know is not going to happen. Why? Because one of the SWG bases was that you "changed the wolrd"; a player city here, a moisture farm there. I think they should try to improve the system so is really useful and it becomes funnier. SW:TOR has a lot of things to do, but the base is solid enough to receive some good updates (player housing? Instanced buildings, kind of what you have in Puzzle Pirates) But, let's wait first until they finish the fixes... we'll worry about updates after.
  2. Have you ever seen how much Tesla criticized some of Edison work? Then, by your standards, Tesla wasn't an innovator? Errr.. wrong. Complains and destructive criticism are as valid "weapons" as constructive criticism. You might not like, but it is still the truth.
  3. Mmmh, how old do you think I am? Cause I'm 32 and I had a computer nearby since I was 6 (oh that Amstrad CPC 464 :'D ) Ok, I didn't have the BBS but believe when I say I would love to. Back on topic: ^^^^^^^^^ THIS!! edit:typos
  4. When you are chatting with someone through skype and, suddenly, press space :S
  5. Yet another paid review where they tell us "is ok to pay for an unfinished product, you shouldnñt even expect everything worked the day of release! " Next thing before we know it they will try to convince us "is ok to allow the prima noite, he is your governor after all... we all have to make sacrifices" ¬¬U P.S. Exaggerated in purpose!
  6. /signed Wasn-t this supposed to be MY story? Then, why in seven hells do I have to suffer Kem Val (or whatever his name is) for ever? I wanna get rid of him, I wanna throw him through the airlock or carbonize it. For more reasons why we should be able please read the best rant ever (includes spoilers) P.S. I would enable that and charge people who wants to rez them or who wants a legacy name change. And I don-t mean 20$, soemthing hard like 150$ for rezzing a companion and 300$ to change the legacy name. That way people will learn (or not.. )
  7. Well O?, have fun your way and get richer and richer. Not everyone is sick enough to spend that many time in the AH, for me it works perfectly, I do a planet and once I finish it go the tleet and put everything to sell in a few clicks. If you want to buy all my items, please do, but that's your sicknes not mine. Mine is a different one, like grinding or exploring or just having as many alts as I can. Am I telling you how to play the game? Then stop telling me how should I play it. But what really p**ses me off is the fact that you consider yourself better by doing this, I mean honestly, haven't you check the world lately? Is behaviour like yours that made the last years a nightmare for a lot of people. Yeah this is only a game, but his arrogance was too much...
  8. Not that one, but I got kicked from the turret WZ too many times because the bike wasn't loaded so I couldn't click it. That's when I stopped trying to PvP at all...
  9. Thank you for this!! Oh! How I needed some laughs!
  10. I disagree. The typical MMO player (from what I've seen) will be perfectly happy to wait until the game is finished. That same person will try to be part of the development phase, getting into alphas and betas; some want to see the game, some want to try it, some want to help. The good majority, the ones that will keep coming, are the ones that are ok to wait; the ones that want to be in the beta to know the game so they can rush to end-game later are the ones that are destroying this games. In the end, the decission is money driven. I understand the process and I cannot imagine how much money is needed (only thinking about the infrastructure makes me tremble). Well, I wanted to give an example that non-IT people could understand. As a network administrator and ex-programmer I kind of imagine how big the whole system is, I even had a WoW and RO private servers to understand more the system and, let me tell you, is quite difficult and expensive. But the problem still remains, we are given unfinished products, paying for them and involving as much as we can in the process; what do we get in return? Bad (almost unexistent) customer service and the feeling that they are ignoring us. I would pay to see my programming and system teachers telling them a few things
  11. Here I disagree. In fact that's why I left the "programming world", grew tired of some marketing/salesman agreeing with the client with impossible dates and sentences like "this is only a button!" when that "button" changed the behaviour of the whole app. If someone is at fault is the project managers, who don't defend their product and people as they should. Again, they don't care. Is all about money, not being proud of their product; and I know some people who did an amazing job and refuse to put that on their CV because, in the end, it sucked due to marketing decissions.
  12. Well my father did and I didn't end that bad ^_^ They can also develop a strong personality and learn to never give up, always continue going forward no matter what. They can also learn that there's always space for improvement. Just saying
  13. My standard is Ragnarok Online (I thought it was obvious). I've seen some bugs in it, specially when they added new classes (Tae Kwon were a pain at first) but there are bugs that feel like small mosquitoes and others that make you feel Ungoliant is going after you. I'm not going to keep comparing TOR with WoW, that is the mistake we've all been doing; I will compare it to other games I enjoyed (and still do). edit:typos
  14. That's what I'm saying!! Windows ME (and Vista) were so outrageous it wasn't even funny, I don't know about Apple because I never had and never will have a Macintosh computer product. When did we start letting them rip us off? Because, honestly, when I was studying IT if any of my programs was buggy my teacher would laugh and make jokes about it, and if it was as messy as some things I've seen he would have shouted at me and make feel embarrased. And people still defend them! ><U
  15. Take a few (ok, maybe more than a few) steps back. I compared two products. Change the car for a tablet, an operative system, whatever works for you; delivering an unfinished product is fraud, no matter how you look at it. But I'm glad at least it made you laugh ^_^
