  1. My only input would be, consider what guilds you want to try and join for PvP goodness, as most guilds are fully stacked on Inquisitors both sorc and sin. I agree that PT's don't have the all roundedness of a sin, but we have great moves in combat, pull/jump plus all the helpful mitigation bonuses which can allow you with cooldowns to walk through the flames in huttball.
  2. Guys just wondering, do you think that Biochem is still a better choice with the coming 1.2 Patch for end PvP as a PowerTech? I have Cybertech at the moment but i'm having to buy my stims and adrenals every day and i don't use Cybertech at all, infact i havn't found a use for it at level 50 at all other than to make the mods and sell them, which is quite rare on our server.
  3. Just wanted to ask Tau' are you still running with the Iron Fist spec, now that you have dropped Gut/Retractable Blade?
  4. Just wanted to ask about this, as i'm sure you know, Flame Burst and Rocket Punch are both classed as a Tech attacks. I fully agree that Rail Shot is a priority for this and the Pyro spec, but seeing as due to RND managing to get a RS proc could take a few rounds of FB and RP to produce. Which if you look at it that way, makes Burnout still a valuable choice. But as you say its all about trade-offs, you lose the quicker Quell and added damage and other abilities. I'm not sure, but does the added crit from Burnout, get directly added on top of your normal crit chance, or is it subject to the same returns? if its going to be subjected to the same returns as normal crit then your spec makes more sense if you have already maxed or are anywhere near, maxing out your crit rating.
  5. I have opened around 12 bags so far and i have actually had 1 token drop for a champion head piece. Other than that i have managed to buy 4 champion pieces (ear, relics and such) and fitted out the rest with Centurion gear. Yes it was nice to get the bonus of the set piece, but i wasn't stressed about whether i would get it or not. I know in the end, i'll have worked for the pieces i get, instead of being instantly gratifide and then losing interest and then probably quitting.
  6. At least its wintery there...!!
  7. Not had the problem, but how long does it take you to load in. I have found that background noise of the game kicks in for me about midway on loading in to any zone, and i know my character is there, as i once zoned back in to Ilum only to find as i finished loading i'd just been killed by 4 of the opposite faction. This could have something to do with you and your deserter buff being applied. Does it ever happen on other WZ's?
  8. I for one, would prefer the server's to stay as they are. Cross server WZ's started for me anyway, to get in to a cry baby situation where if you was losing, that player would start ranting at how rubbish everyone was and how you all sucked. I'd rather stick to same server battles, at least that way you get to know the cry babies and could try and steer clear of them, instead of them becoming even more of an anonymous character from another server somewhere.
  9. Can i ask how the communication would get round to other people in the game. I mean on the same planet i could understand a General channel shout, but to get others to come, they would have to travel back to the station and then somehow manage to enthuse all the players there to come to Hoth. I'm not sure that this would have resulted in anything other than low level characters arriving to be honest. If you could orchestrate it somehow with the other side, now that would be nice, but then it wouldn't be spontaneous. I'm all for World PvP, there's nothing better than getting a group together and charging in to the opposite factions base and laying down the hurt. But you need a base with opposite faction able to give you a challenge first, like wandering in to Ogrimar as a 40 man raid, and still ending up in the graveyard.
  10. They could bring the 3 middle ones closer together i suppose for a capture node scenario, but that may not be feasable as it would mean a map change. But yeah, something like that.
  11. I have mentioned this in another thread, but whilst writing it, i thought it was a good enough idea, to actually start a poll on, to see if the community would think it was a good idea. First off, for those of you who have played WoW, you will obviously remember the Hourly BG's of Wintergrasp and Tol Barad. These BG's (WZ's) were enabled for you to join once an hour, just like a normal BG. After winning the BG you would get a nice buff to your factions side. The zone was limited to a max players amount, any imbalance in the sides resulted in the grossly under-powered side being buffed considerably. Once the hours round had completed, the BG reverted back to an excplorable area, where you could grind out materials or whatever you needed. Proposed changes for Ilum: 1. An Houly Warzone that lasts 15 minutes. 2. Max ceiling of players say about 40. 3. If sides are unequal by more than 5 players, weaker side gets a buff. Buff to scale depending on size discrepency. 4. To win Ilum, 2 nodes must be captured by end of WZ and enemy base guns destroyed. 5. Winning faction to get buff to valour for 1 hour. 6. After WZ ends Ilum would revert back to open PvP zone where you can continue to grind out weekly PvP quest of 200 kill/armaments (increase due to being able to grind it out in the hourly WZ. It would at least make Ilum work, but after that i agree that it would be like a ghost town most likely, but as the imbalance to factions is now, it generally is anyway for one side trying to hunt down the lone character who decided to see what Ilum was about. Anyway, what do you think, could/would this work?
  12. Has anyone here played WoW? Have you taken advantage of playing the hourly BG's like Wintergrasp and Tol Barad (is it)? They should have done it like that for Ilum. A max player limit for both sides, and a buff for side that wins. Keep the sides at the same size or if that can't be done, allow the weaker side a buff that enhances them while they are in Ilum and in the battle for Ilum for that round. Anyone trying to enter Ilum during this time over the limit of the pre-described sides will be ejected. This way you will have an even fight on both sides, you at least get a chance to go in there once an hour and work off your weekly. And at the end of it, you might end up with a valour buff for an hour to help within WZ's. Any other time leave Ilum as it is, and you can grind out them stupid crates in the middle till the next battle arrives. It would be an incentive to go there at least, fights would have a meaning, sides would be even (partially), and world PvP could still happen as it always does now.
  13. After the Huttbal match we played last night, i think i can say that not every one is a quitter, but then i wasn't on the losing team so i have no idea how many quit or not. But lets just say we had it at 4-0, 4 minutes in to the game then moved up to 5 around 8 minutes in. So we decided to just sit in the middle and tank the ball and killed them all as they came close. (Ahto City Server) 3 minutes to the end of the game we realised no one was coming to the middle as they had all just sat at their goal line waiting for us to score and end it. We needless to say went over and there were several attempts at making us score by pulling the ball carrier over the line, which never happened. All this with a PUG group, and as far as i could tell, there was no pre-made groups on our side. In scenarios like that one, you can understand the logic of people just wanting to give up and leave. I'm not sure i'm in agreement for a concede vote for the losing side. My only issue here is, if you go 3-0 down in a Huttball match you can guarantee that will be mashed to hell, but i've been in matches where we have won from a 3-0 start deficit. Not only that, what would you do for Voidstar, would you quit if the attacking team got through in about 4 minutes and then it was your turn? The only one i can think of as a definite vote candidate is Alderaan. You can pretty much say when you won't win on that unless you can cap all 3. Lets wait and see what the new system brings, but if you want to quit, all your doing is showing other players that your a quitter, and i usually take note of people like that and try to stay away from them and in a small community like the servers are, your name gets known fast. "oooh look, there *******, don't he quit if its going bad?"

    Ilum fun

Is anyone else having the same issues as me with Ilum? So far i have not been able to complete Ilum dailies/weekly at all, whenever i'm on i can never find any crates to pick up, or enough opposite faction to kill and i've been in the area running up and down for over 2 hours some days. Just wandering...
