  1. Got nailed with this myself. Seems pretty common with skytrooper chasis.
  2. Sadly, the trolls will likely stay (many have been here a very long time, despite being almost universally despised), but the people posting they're gonna leave will probably go. A lot of people like to blow hot air in the vein of 'don't let the door hit you on the way out' but when subs actually do dip (and they will, if only from people who sub just to get the stuff and then unsub again right away), the company does put pressure on devs to 'correct' that downturn. If they can't, less development money comes down to make new features, and that hurts everyone.
  3. A lot of the guys with 'Bioware' tattooed on their foreheads are running around trying (and I use that term loosely, they're not good at it, should spend some time in EvE Online's forums leveling that skill some) to troll any threads critical of the expansion. I had one of them tell me that the removal of a fully voiced protagonist for the Alliance convos was a step *forward* for the game....
  4. Actually.... I once looked into hiring Nolan North for a project. He wasn't cheap, but it was far less than, say, the cost of producing, say, a cinematic promotional video. Further, while, individually they're more expensive, frankly, they still would not cost as much as the rest of the VAs combined, and those people WERE hired. And, strangely, this thread, despite being posted to, did not return not the front page, nor will the forum accept subscriptions to it. Edit: Apparently fixed. That's.... interesting.
  5. All I've got is that they figured we'd be blinded by nostalgia in a blatant cost saving move. I just find it mind blowingly irritating and vaguely insulting.
  6. Clearly, you missed the rest of this game. Or the fact that it's the Protagonist who's not voiced. Irrelevant, your point is, Master White Knight. The trollside is weak in this one.
  7. Point of fact, i never claimed I was speechless. it was, in fact, a play on words about the characters being unvoiced. Troll, or troll not. There is no try.
  8. *You have failed us for the last time, Bioware...* There are a lot of complaints about companions atm. Some are valid, but on the whole I don't find them as irritating as one, single thing: The loss of a fully voiced protagonist past level 60. All alliance member convos take place in the old 'KOTOR style 'cinematic' box. This is the most immersion breaking, irritating, stupid thing I have seen pulled yet. For God sake, we have fully voiced characters for the BLACK HOLE WEEKLY, but we don't have them for an ENTIRE NEW EXPANSION? And worse, and this is just insulting, we drag out that dated interface from KOTOR and expect us all to don our Nostalgia shades and say how cool it is? Did someone let guys from the Mass Effect 3 team onto this project?
  9. No, it's not, but it IS frustrating. I particularly dislike how our fully voiced characters are no longer fully voiced, but use the old Silent Protagonist style from KOTOR when talkign to alliance members, and Bioware is acting as thought that's a GOOD THING. it's not only immersion breaking, it's BLOODY IRRITATING.
  10. ***?: Guys, this AIN'T KOTOR. I bought this game, and have subbed for a VERY long time to get my fully voice acted Star Wars on. I was even understanding when you started skimping on animation in Rise of the Cartel. But this is ********. I mean, hell, we got past this sort of garbage in Mass Effect, FFS. NO ONE wants a silent protagonist anymore. I KNOW you're trying to cut corners on this expansion, reuse old areas and avoid adding quest giver animations, but this is just the bottom of the barrel.
  11. People accused one another of crying over xyz so since tears are salty....
  12. For some reason I'm reminded of SerB over at Wargaming.net and his stance there was nothing wrong with artillery mechanics at all, the players were just bad. Recently WG announced they are going to do an artillery overhaul, though SerB still maintains that the players remain bad, and artillery is still perfect. basically, casual players are going ot take a beating, and be driven away from the game by this sort of issue. And, much as many will deny it, it's the casuals who pay the bills.
  13. Any thoughts on linking it to the lvl of the mish you're on if you're doing a story mission on a planet rather than the planet level? Just thinking.
  14. Um, point of fact, isn't being dismounted still rooted in RNG on a hit? I know I've drawn aggro and gone zipping away anyway, and I've done it and magically been dismounted half a mile away.
