  1. 6 days until my initial month's subscription runs out, I will not be renewing. I sincerely hope BW loses a LOT of money in lost subs because of their crappy maintenance schedule and other issues. They spent what 5-6 years developing this? The end result is a good game sure, but it's obvious they don't know how to run a business. I will never buy another BW / EA game and I will never recommend SWTOR to a friend (I've been badmouthing it for a while now and will continue to do so). As for the idiots at EA - don't sell your game for $20 more in Australia, the Aussie $ is worth more than the US $ and the price difference can't be justified.
  2. True, I appreciate that. But at the same time I don't agree with BW leaving a job half done - giving us local servers but then shafting us with the maintenance MORE than any other MMO I've played.
  3. Wow never gave us Aussies this much shafting. Ever since I remember playing Wow maintenance on Tuesday has started from 10 pm or 12 a.m. AEST (dependant on DST). That's at around 5 a.m. PDT. Enough time after work to do the dailies and whatever else needed doing. Prime time maintenance is inexcusable - I wouldn't mind having it once a month but every single week? Glad I cancelled my subscription when I did. I don't care how good the game is; when a company treats it's customers like this it's time to take my money elsewhere.
  4. They waited 12-14 hours so they didn't inconvenience their home US players. Why not inconvenience the rest of the world? No biggie surely...
  5. As long as Bioware have their heads stuck you know where, things will never change. Keep cancelling those subs people, if they can't please their customers then they don't deserve our money.
  6. To each his / her own... So I'm raising hell on the forums. If you don't like it, you're welcome to ignore me. Pardon me if I pay for something and expect service to be exemplary. And I never suggested that you were a child at any time.
  7. Easy for you to say. Ever find yourself in a situation where the only night you can play (1 of 3) is taken away with ill planned maintenance? Or in a situation where you've had a stressful day and come home to relax for a few hours before going out again, only the servers are unavailable? All this while you can clearly see other MMOs who handle maintenance in a way where no 1 or 2 regions suffer because of the rest. We're adults who have jobs and families to tend to, not kids who can easily change our lives to suit some crappy maintenance schedule.
  8. BW: We're taking your prime time playing away from you on a Friday night and you can't do sh*t! Aussies: That's too bad, oh well let's whinge and come back when the server is online, sure BW are screwing us big time but we don't mind! Wake up people, cancel those subscriptions or nothing will ever change!!
  9. And the best experience possible doesn't include cutting into our prime playing time. If it does, things are seriously screwed up.
  10. Irrespective of separate maintenance times, Blizzard takes Wow down anywhere from 10 pm - 12 am on Tuesday (depending on AEST). This is not an issue because at least most players get to go to bed early 1 night. And it's enough time to do the dailies and whatever you need to do after coming home from work.
  11. No the down time isn't getting credited back. Sorry for your disappointment mate, I strongly feel it's the worst $79.95 I've spent in a long time.

It's Friday evening and some of us have come back from work and a long week, and we just want to kick back for a few hours before we go out again / have dinner / etc. Only the idiots who run this company have decided to take the servers down again, from 6 PM AEDT. Seriously guys, if you didn't want to cancel your subs before you should definitely give it some serious consideration now!
  13. Wow, they go and take the servers down again at 6PM AEDT until 10PM AEDT. That's 2 days of prime time playing ruined this week. In a week when we switch off DST that will become maintenance from 5 PM AEST... wow
  14. Yeah I really like the game too, but I detest the company. No matter how good a game is if the company is going to treat some of their customers like crap I'll take my money elsewhere.
  15. Another reminder to start cancelling your subs until they fix this issue. I have cancelled my sub and will not be going back until they can fix the prime time downtime. My apologies for beginning to sound like a broken record.
