  1. They still are, I used to be a hardcore raider, endgame type person in WoW, but I stopped doing that and started leveling alts with friends and doing other things, and you start to realize how great the game really is. Play a different character, experience a different story, they are very well done in this game. Sure endgame is important to have, but there's much more to the game than that. It's this ridiculous obsession with having to have the very best items in the game and doing the same raid/op every single night that makes a game feel stale. Get a partner and level 2 different characters to 50 throughout the entire story and see both stories unfold. Then do the same thing on the other faction. Go back and do it again with the other 4 classes you guys didn't do yet. You'd be surprised how much more fun you'll have.
  2. It comes down to the person behind the screen...if you're a good tank you'll be able to tank with whatever you got. If you're not, you won't. Nothing is ever going to be completely balanced 100% unless everyone gets the same abilties. And that's boring. Everything is viable and you're bad if you can't make it work.
  3. They should just add a thing to summon your group to you once ever 2 or 4 hours. Only works in friendly spaceports or speeder guys to prevent people from abusing it for PvP purposes. I think that would be a wonderful addition. Thoughts?
  4. Sitting at around Dark III on my BH I'm finding it rather annoying in the 40's that I cannot get any relics that are for my level. I'm playing my character how I imagine him to make decisions, I don't want to have to make ridiculous decisions for no reason just so I can use level appropriate relics. The DS/LS choices should be cosmetic or fun in nature, not actually affect your gear and stats. Make relics DS/LS/Neutral...there shouldn't be Dark IV and V relics unless there are level equivalent ones for Dark II and III. Maybe I don't want my character to be completely evil, but in order to have a level appropriate relic while leveling I have no choice. That's bad design if you ask me.
  5. Simple solution, if you send something cross faction, as soon as it is pulled out of the mailbox it is bound to that character. Keeps people from abusing both economies and allows you to gear up your alts with those pesky jedi only armor patterns you can't sell on the imperial side.
  6. I'd like to see dual spec included in this game, we have quite a few tanks in my guild, like 6 juggernauts and 3 powertechs(me being one) it would be nice if I was able to join one of my groups as a pyrotech powertech dps instead of a gimped shield tech trying to dps while someone else is tanking. I find it stupid and redundant to have to go to a trainer and respec every time you want to PvP or play a different role. Used to do it in WoW during TBC as a warrior tank who liked to do arms PvP on the weekends. Dual spec was amazing when they added it, I was overjoyed. I don't see a good reason not to do it. Dual advanced class should not be added though. Often times it's completely different armor types and weapons and completely different playstyles. I can see where that would be a problem, but within the same AC it's a joke not to include it.
  7. Considering every single quest in the game is voiced over and gives you choices for dialog, that's pretty new and innovative. I think the mod system for gear is pretty new and innovative compared to WoW. The class specific storylines blow away any kind of class quests WoW ever did. The only thing that really bothers me sometimes is how much instancing there is with everything. Makes the world feel more empty than it should.
  8. I just use it as a heat dump to keep me able to always hit buttons, whenever I get over 40 heat I hit it. I'd like a different animation and more threat from it sure, but it's not terribly bad for what it's intended for...a way to dump heat.
  9. The easiest thing to do is roll the mirror character on the opposite faction and play it in the other advanced class. I'm doing a powertech bounty hunter and a commando trooper. It's the same class and resource. It's just different animations and names of abilities. The commando is the same as me leveling another bounty hunter and going mercenary, but why do that, when there is a whole new story I can play through?
  10. No, it's just that most people are playing empire so they throw all their republic stuff on there and never need to check it for empire gear cuz they can get all that at the fleet.
  11. Play a different class, level on different planets, do different quests. I've got 2 characters on each faction I've been leveling, alternating between, and there's hardly any overlap of content. If you bum rushed to 50 and did every quest on one character in the first month the game was out are you gonna be bored? Yea probably. Make an alt, play a different story...I wouldn't go as far to say that playing through 8 times would be completely different, but you can easily do 2 of each faction while doing mostly missions you haven't done before.
  12. If it's so bad, why are you still in the forums? I never understood the losers who sit there and say, "This game is awful, don't play it, but I'm gonna sit here on their forums and criticize it all day!" Every game forum has these bums in it. Go do something else if it's so bad...
  13. They just need a channel that you can access no matter where you are. That would solve a lot of the issues with finding a group. If you have to, separate it by level brackets or something so that everyone isn't spamming the same channel all day.
  14. As a tank I use Torian majority of the time, I only pull out Mako for champions or tough elites.
  15. I haven't had any problems, I usually group up with a guildy or two and a companion and do them all at once, or snag someone that's asking in general chat. Best thing to do is wait til then end of the planet and do them all at once with a group.
