  1. The whole point of the game is to get around the obstacle's in your way, while getting free loot is usually a bug, until its posted in the patch notes, via ingame mail to make sure people know that something in game is something they are not allowed to do it should be allowable. If its too much for bioware to keep on top of free loot bugs to at least tell their players its a bug, they should get out of the game making buisness. All players want to get ahead, I dont see them banning players for picking the best classes and spec available. If its on live its a feature unless otherwise specifically notified by the designers. Does a little extra gear actually matter? If it does they should have done something about it sooner and if not then they should leave players alone
  2. As far as I'm concerned if you have an undocumented bug, its a feature until you document it as a bug. I dont care how obvious it should be to players that its a bug, in a game with lots of bugs, some that actually become official features at some point how they can go and take any action against accounts that used a game feature before it was labeled a bug is beyond me, especially when the they had ample opportunity to document it before it even went to live servers. I am glad that I play this game as a fun single player game so most of this stuff doesnt affect me, but it is pretty low of bioware to do anything especially with their history of enforcement in past.
  3. It seems like the increments from the different pvp sets is only a few stat points per set (level 168 vs 174) but on top of it it seems like the gear is now well bellow even basic starter gear for pve. Is it going to no longer be possible to run the pve planetary quests on new expansions because pvp gear is lagging so far behind. I thought it was odd that 2.x pvp gear did not keep up with ilevel compared to pve gear but was the intent to make all pvp players collect a seperate armor set for doing dailies and the like? It seems like the ranked coms pvp armor is a huge time sink with little or no pay off unless your doing ranked pvp.
  4. You have such incredible freedom in this game to customize your character, there is more adaptive gear than you can shake a stick at. Honestly I never understand people like you who complain when a mechanics change comes into the game, then proceed to tell the world that this is an RPG where the mechanics are not important. Its true that the game mechanics dont matter much for the RP component, so please quit complaining about mechanics changes to a game if you are trying to rp. I created a Jedi Knight, then when I logged in I was told I was a padawan, I as a human male somehow I lack the ability to pick up a blaster pistol and hold it in my hand, and even though I can push a single target with the wave of my hand it is deemed impossible for me to figure out how to do that to more people at a time. My sage can heal people from incredible wounds at deaths door with ease, yet somehow when I watch the movies everyone who gets badly injured seems to die even when there are jedi around. RPing is about imagination, dont let game mechanics get in your way. If I RP my jedi is perfectly capable of using a blaster, can use a single, two, or a double bladed lightsaber. My imagination isnt limited to game mechanics because the mechanics are part of a game, a number crunching system that lets combat resolve. You can be unhappy with it, but dont pretend its not important for a multiplayer game to be balanced just because there is an RP component to the game.
  5. While this is often the case if you have a good spare tank and healer and send them to delay you can often draw the entire team to their pylon early, trading 4 cubes for 2 player kills is generally worth it. The one or two people who dont head to their side are then also easy kills at mid offsetting the kills you lost as well. I have also seen 2 stealthers keep the other team from capping for an entire round because they were not coordinated enough to deal with them.
  6. So what are we supposed to see in the screen shot? That one team had some idea of how to play and the other one didnt. The loosing team had one healer who was obviously not part of the attacks to take objectives with the only 1 death, or he ran away abandoning the team whenever he got attacked. Looks like the loosing team either has way worse gear, or just didnt focus fire anything. The winning team had a healer who was guarded and protected well and just simply outhealed the loosing teams damage. Six of you on one guarded healer should have no trouble stomping that healer if you actually attack the healer together and use some stuns and interrupts (if what you say about having decent players and gear is true then the death counts indicate a pack of like 6 of you were traveling together, is the other side to blame you didnt attack the same target?.... mark healers and focus fire them) As a tank in pvp who does a lot of solo que'ing I have to say that I get frustrated by playing on teams where no one know what they are doing... running away from objectives leaving them unguarded, not coming to help when someone calls incoming (or everyone coming and no one staying because a node has 1 person coming to it), and always running into a fight by themselves instead of attacking as a group, never mind the more "advanced" tactics of attacking the marked targets first or a healer healing his guard, or guards putting a guard on a healer and actually staying in range of that healer so the healer has some benefit. lets not forget the teams who focus so hard on killing every person on the other team that no one bothers to even try to go for the objectives, or maybe just maybe stunning or pushing the last enemy in the area alive so the person trying to cap can finish before the other team shows up again. You realize that the reason that a lot premades form is because people want to get away from that. I would bet the large majority of premades that you run into are just a few pvpers who are on at the same time who see a few other names they know and form a group for a while so they know they will get at least a couple of people who have a clue as to what to do, they then roflstomp most pugs because they actually understand the word "team" and they are probably not even on a voice chat. The lack of people in pvp matches that understand the concept of "team" is astonishing. The below 50 bracket I can sort of understand, people are learning the game still potentially, but at 50 if you join a team you should have some clue on how pvp and how the wz's works, have some clue as to how to play your class or at least ask what to do and take the time to listen to instructions. If you que for an op and someone shows up in crap gear, dosnt know how to play their role, runs off randomly to try and kill stuff on his own how long do you put up with that person? If you are feeling charitable you will try to teach that person, but after they wipe your group often enough most people dont want to stick around. You are playing with other people also trying to enjoy a game, why is it that so many people show up totally unprepared and expect everyone else to make up the difference for them when everyone is just trying to have some fun. If you are not willing to put in the effort to actually contribute to a team, why should the team be obligated to try and include you?
  7. Well naturally I am noble republic warrior, but that aside I have played in very few warzones where there was even an attempt to organize any kind of tactics via chat, generally its very disorganized. I generally only pvp when friends are not on so I always que solo and never really expect to play with more than disorganized chaos. But other than the length of hutball vs the others I find it to be one of the most enjoyable warzones (games tend to never end early even if you are somewhat outmatched when the zerg follows the column, In fact I have never been in a hutball game where the score has reached 6 on one side and until this post didnt even know it could end early) Is there a list of server faction distributions anywhere? Playing on an RP server I tend to believe that the republic will have a larger than average following vs the pve and pvp servers so I am curious if my server is a little more even than most.
  8. I have yet to be in a hutball game where the zerg wasnt following the big pillar of moving light. The only zerg in the middle of the game I have seen is when one team is holding the ball in the middle and not moving with it in order to farm kills.
  9. I dont know why you think hutball requires the most coordinated team. While there is certainly the ability to use more tactics in hutball than the other warzones it is not a complicated game. I think its actually more noob friendly than the other warzones because people tend to go towards the big moving pillar of light, so most players actually do get where they could be of use. It is to me way more frustrating seeing your entire team try to only guard one door on voidstar or everyone run to the same cannon and stay there and not even try win. If everyone in huttball is in the middle killing each other you can still win the game by being the only guy to run a ball anywhere. The only downside to hutball is that the game tends to last longer so if your playing a bit of a lopsided competition your pain tends to last a little longer than on the maps.
  10. The first beta weekend I played the guardian held the lightsaber the same way as the cosular when sprint was on and you were moving. I thought it looked good for running around, but I guess they decided to change it at some point
  11. if you like the more superman than robe look you have some options but a hood toggle would be really really nice I have to say
