  1. As a member of Pegasus Command for over a year I can say I enjoy the social times on discord as well as the broad selection of games available to play with such a fun community. In SWTOR itself we have a dedicated game commander and some fun people to interact with. We are hoping you will consider joining us.
  2. the server origin issue was/is to prevent duplicate names, so even if you had 2 guild/people with the same name they would be unique for the server.
  3. Thats not unleashed, thats the bitraider patcher most likely unless your unleashed is running when the patch goes out. To fix, if you have the st in the lower left corner, look up posts on reorganizing data and it will tell you how to modify the patching to the old way. If unleashed is running when a patch comes it, it can cause the system to try to patch the RAM disk files not the originals, which will cause issues. make sure to remove and quit or use the retail function for patches. Once the patch is working unleashed normally works fine. If unleashed seems to crash after a patch, try deleting the config file for it and reloading, chances are the file sizes changed and it needs to be adjusted in the settings file.
  4. How do you mean? You install the program. you run it with admin privledges. the first time you open the settings, add check marks appropriate to your amount of RAM. Specifics on what files do what are not defined and you have to experiment with them, in part because some of these change patch to patch. Save the settings and run the program. When you want to undo/remove the RAMdrive you reopen the launcher and choose remove and quit.
  5. @skid your laptop has a tricore processor and 4 GB of RAM if I am reading correctly. This lack of RAM will cause you issues both with running the game at speed and with using a RAM disk based accelerator like Unleashed. This program takes a portion of 'excess' RAM and preloads files into it so they are accessed faster, with your system you won't have enough RAM to run TOR, windows and the RAMDISK. Since your issue is limited to load times, I can recommend you check into two options. First check your hard disk speed and if your not running 7200RPM or greater drives then upgrading the drive speed will help load times. Second is to upgrade your RAM to the maximum allowed by your motherboard. If this is at least 8GB then you can use unleashed to preload some of the files to help your performance.
  6. My #1 QoL fix would be.. Fix the existing errors ie. implants with the wrong name/level and droid custom gear thats green. #2: standardize.. more stuff should be balanced in mats to items, also the level skips for armoring/mod/enhancements at the vendors needs a better balance to the ones we can craft to help build better niche areas for crafters to fill in the blanks. #3: no Bind on pickup. all crafting should be Legacy or BoE.
  7. The usual cause of someone saying the program is broke is.. the XML configuration got corrupted. the usual cause of someone saying the program broke SWTOR is the alias files are still in place and they try to launch normally. This usually means the SWTOR client crashed to desktop and then someone tried to use the normal launcher not unleashed, especially if they rebooted. The Solution usually is to load unleashed and do a remove and quit so that the alias pointers are correctly removed. @ KarmaForce, can you remap to ALT not CTRL, that sounds like a conflict or something, or maybe preload the other program and see if they play nice that way. @ Thundernuts do you have the add 100 MB checked? have you deleted your original diskcache and retried? if you pick a couple items from the checklist manually does it give you the same problem as trying to use the dynamic/FX buttons? have you deleted your config file and restarted?
  8. Listen to the problem, Repeat the problem back to verify the CS agent has a clear understanding of the issue. Set expectations by a engaging the customer and verifying what they want fixed, and offering what you can do to solve/ameliorate the issue. Complete the task. Verify with the customer that the task is complete. Close the ticket. Why when I submit a ticket to CS is a droid sending me an inaccurate to my issue message that gives false expectations of resolution times, then closes the ticket before the resolution is made. Suggestion: ALL tickets should be treated with the same care and handling. No droid/automated process should close a ticket without customer agreement that the issue is resolved.
  9. my issue as a mostly Solo player is.. getting enough of the items to matter, I have on most my 10 toons a main character and at least 2 companions that I use regularly. For example my sorc. healing spec has ashara and khem that I want geared equal to my main, and i'd like the other 3 to be no more than a tier or so back, thats not including adding in HK or any new companions they add to the game. Even running a regular ops group, how does one get in enough comms, drops, etc to properly max gear within a reasonable timeframe.. say 3 months?
  10. Like most the crafting scene, the whole system needs to be revamped along with the planetary vendors to rebalance things since the last time that was done was 1.2 before most of the lvl 50 ops and all the newer 2.0+ stuff got added. No matter what they do people will complain, however if they rebalance the system correctly with room to expand, and take advantage of their updates such as BoL options they should be able to make something that is fair to all crafts and can allow for reasonable profits.
  11. If the game seems unstable or to have any problems at all, I recommend not only deleting the XML file and letting it rebuild the settings, but also deleting the disk cache file. as a cache file the game will recreate it during launch and it tends to occasionally get corrupted. Personally I run a session after the disk cache has been deleted in retail, then go back unleashed. This lets me confirm the issue with the game itself is resolved before I reload into the RAMdrive. @---Katsumoto--- : are you running the IM disk from the unleashed folder or a downloaded copy? Either way I'd uninstall it. Reinstall and reboot. then try the ramdisk creation. if that is failing its an issue with imdisk not unleashed and you might need a copy from the imdisk website or from the unleashed folder sometimes the computer likes one version over another.
  12. This program doesn't change any of the files. it Simply makes a copy of them in a RAM drive and leaves pointers to them with the originals. This state persists until you do a remove and quit or until you restart (which dumps the ramdrive).
  13. I've been using it for months, I don't see any real 'boost', what I do see is what the program is designed for, a reduction in bad times. Example: without unleashed it was real common for me to hit spots where my FPS dropped from 40-60 normal into the 10-20 range which made combat *ahem* difficult, and some fights I even saw it go under 10 FPS. With unleashed I rarely see the FPS drop below 40, and if it does its for less time which gives a much smoother game and combat. If someone had a GFX card that was of lesser memory causing the system to load and unload things more often it could actually provide a 'boost' effect because the textures would be loading from the faster ram drive not the hard drive. Looking for what files do what : UMMV http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=529567&page=34
  14. I found deleting the disk cache before you run a new version helps, on many issues, and many times when something funny starts to happen, remove and quit, delete the disk cache and restart will fix. the 100 MB probably should be on by default since it does seem to make a huge difference on a lot of issues. This is one of the best free programs i've ever had and probably the only reason I still subscribe instead of switching down to the FTP side of the game.
  15. Its not a bug, its an intentional lack of proper preparation by the designers, Its happened in every MMO I have ever played. When a game hits a Max level, the designers start to tier end game stuff so they keep people playing, however, the next expansion that ups the level cap then causes them to have new gear that is equal or better than the non/low tier end game gear. For some reason the designers do not seem to take this issue into account when they set up the game so they don't leave proper gear skips and try things like 5 level cap increases. specifically for TOR they should have gone for 10 levels and then made all the MAKEB planetary gear start at level 54, it still would not have been perfect but it would make more of the old 49/40 gear stay relevant for another 2-3 levels. Perhaps they will learn not to do this for the next expansion.
