It is called the RNG. Random Number Generator. Getting a schematic is a PROC and they're really not intended to PROC very often. in some games, like AION, PROCing is rage inducing. It is meant to make the crafting a long and arduous process for the better gear.

...which is why I asked. I figured it was a troll but wanted to find out for sure.

So, when reading some doom and gloom post about when SWTOR would 'shut down' there was mention of a merge to some sort of superserver. Any validity to this and if so can someone link an article?

perhaps you should just go away? I mean... really, if you don't like the game then just stop playing. It really is that simple. Really.

What is SOOO wrong with the HERO engine?

I don't want to search through endless rants. I just want a concise answer. If you don't want to answer, then don't. The thread title is pretty self explanitory, so if you don't want to read it, then don't. It really is that simple. The world doesn't revolve around you. -
Ok, so I am honestly inquiring. I am not a programmer, know nothing about it and, if it weren't for the large amounts of complaints, I really wouldn't care. I looked it up on Wikipedia and it all makes sense to me, for whatever that means. Is there a simple explanation as to why BW should not have gone with the Hero engine? Honestly, I just want to know why... Thanks

So, I am 32, work 2 jobs, have a wife, three young kids, a dog, a mortgage and a car payment. Basically, I play SWTOR as escapism from daily life. My play time is usually limited to about an hour to maybe 3 per day and on Saturday I get about 6 hours. I just don't have time to complain about bugs in the game, things I personally don't like or some perceived reality (ALL OF YOUR SUBSCRIBERS HATE YOU BW/EA). Really, life is just too full of real problems to get caught up on whether or not your escapism completely fits your ideal. It is a game, fun, sometimes frusterating but never bad enough that I would sit on a forum and try to convince everyone that because of the U/I not fitting my personal taste, they should unsub. Game problems are not real world problems. Have fun, enjoy it and, if you don't, find some other way to escape for a while. My two cents and worth nearly every penny.

In all fairness, the Jar Jar complaint is valid. -

Greetings, I am looking for a Republic Guild that is actually social, has a decent sampling of levels and actually looks forward to playing together. I'm tired of PUGing for Heroics on Balmora and seeing exactly zero response despite having 50+ people on the planet. I am into long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners and, of course, the systematic slaughter of evil (imperial) throughout the empire.

So, I play on "Master Zhar Lestin" (repub) which, when I rolled, was a heavy server, and it still seems to have a pretty healthy number of players during peak times. I usually see about 40ish people in Balmora but to date I have run exactly ZERO heroics there. I spam /1 as much as I can but it seems that nobody wants to do the runs. My guild is no help either. I enjoy the heroics and enjoy the chance to get to meet other players, but it just seems that nobody is running them anymore since they are not required to level/complete story quests. Why have Heroics become the bane of the SWTOR experience, at least on my server.

So, we all know the DARK SIDE of the forums. "This game is gonna fail blah blah blah blah" I want to thank the community for the LIGHT SIDE of the forum. Whenever I have a question about game play, playstyle or anything else, I get honest answers and I just enjoy reading them. So, kudos to the community for having the LIGHT so greatly overpower the dark. As Yoda said, the Dark is NOT more powerful than the light.

Thanks guys. I think it's about time for me to mosey on into the PVP world!!
