  1. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it!
  2. I submitted a ticket in-game about a month ago (-329134136) and still haven't heard anything back from anyone. I really just want an acknowledgment that the ticket has been received as I feel like I have been wasting an entire month of subscriber time not making progress on my character as he may be permanently bugged. Here is the ticket: I was progressing through the Taris quests and I think I completed a quest earlier than I was supposed to. It wasn't intentional, I just was picking up quests as I went along. I completed a quest from Sergeant Mack who is located in Kanner Outpost before I went to Brejik's Run. Then, I completed the first two parts of the bonus series, but was directed to talk to Sergeant Mack and help him. Unfortunately he won't talk to me, since I already did his quest. I tried resetting the "Taris: Bonus Series" quest but now it is stuck on the first part of the quest since I already completed that one. Is there any way you can fix the problem for me? Either move me past the Sergeant Mack quest so I can continue as intended, or reset all the quests in the Taris: Bonus Series line so I can redo them in the proper order?
  3. Marksman Wanted! (Ord Mantell) I just landed in Ord Mantell to resupply weapons to Republic soldiers stationed at Fort Garnik. Unfortunately after landing at the Drelliad spaceport, the Separatists took control of some air defense systems and I am unable to leave the system until I can either disable them, or return them to Republic control. Before I head out into the warzone, I hope to team up with someone who can watch my back. Are there any republic soldiers with business in Drelliad? If you are willing to help me with the air defense towers, I am willing to offer my blaster with business you may have in the area. My aim with a blaster is good enough to keep up with any Republic soldier and I am the Captain of my own ship. The ship is capable of running Imperial Blockades and I am also willing to offer safe transportation to nearby star systems at a discount. Or if you are interested in weapons, I may be able to appropriate a few from the shipment I was delivering. Contact me here via the emergency holonet channels if you are interested. - Amadh ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello my name is Mark and I am just rejoined these forums. I just came back to try swtor again after playing a bit in January and February earlier this year. I still consider myself relatively new to MMOs in general, but I have a fair bit of roleplaying experience (mostly dming Dungeons and Dragons and my own homebrewed games). I really enjoy the star wars universe and enjoyed the movies along with the first two old republic games, however, that is really as far as my star wars 'lore' goes. In January I was able to set up a group like this and we played for about a month until peoples schedules caused conflicts and we had to stop. It still was a lot of fun. Summer was pretty busy for me, but work will be cooling down for me until around December and I would like to try to start this us again. I am looking to put together a group of four people (one of each class) that will play through all of their stories together. I would be interested in RPing a bit, at least where characters talk to each other about what is going on in the story and developing their characters together. While the ad may be specifically targeted at a Trooper (since I was taking the perspective of the smuggler), I am still interested in playing with Jedis once we reach Coruscant. I was thinking the Trooper and I play through Ord Mantell while the Jedis play through Tython. The four of us meet up on the Esseles on the way to Coruscant and continue from there. I haven't played through the game yet so I am not entirely sure if there is a reasonable rp reason that all four classes would stick together like this but I am hoping we can work something out (I've only gotten halfway through Coruscant before). Somethings that should be noted that I remember from the last time I did this: First, because we will be playing through all four class quests, we will be relatively over-leveled throughout the game compared to where we are in the story. I can only imagine the gap gets bigger as the game goes on. I personally don't have a problem with this because I enjoy just playing through, listening to the story, and roleplaying along the way with friends. But if you want a challenge, this may not be the playthrough you are looking for. Second, with four people playing there are bound to be different speeds in how people want to play. I say this because I have a feeling I may be 'that guy' who is slow. I am not really interested in skipping all the dialogue and rushing through the flashpoints just to power up to Level 50. While I try to remain aware and balance the different group members desire to stop and chat and continue on through the game, if you are one to press 'esc' through all the dialogues and rush through the level as quick as possible, our desired gameplay probably won't mesh well. Finally, I, and maybe another group member, have not played through the entire game yet, and we probably don't know where everything is. I don't mind if you know there is a datacron in a certain direction and you want to get it, I would prefer it if you said it in character. Instead of just stopping and saying 'datacron?', I would prefer if you stopped and say something more in character like 'how about we explore in this direction for a bit' or something similar. That gives the new people the opportunity to still discover things (I feel like I am not explaining this well...). Or for example you realize the group may have missed a quest that you want to do, instead of saying 'Are we going to run Hammer Station?', I would prefer you stop and say 'this droid is trying to get my attention, I would like to stop and see what it needs.' This may make it sound like I am proposing a ton of rules that I want followed. I am really not that way, I have dmed for a really long time and I am really good at and enjoy going in new directions I didn't see before that the group brings up. I am also a really laid back guy and if you do the 'datacron?' thing I am probably going to laugh a little and I won't bite your head off. I just want to have a bit of fun and usually what kills the fun is when one member isn't having fun and leaves. So I am trying to set up a loose framework to prevent that from happening. So look at this more as "guidelines" than actual rules. And sorry about the wall of text. I tried to make this as succinct as I possibly could but I tend to ramble when there is no one there responding to me as I 'talk'. If you are interested or have any suggestions please let me know! Thank you for your time. Markamadeo Also note that I have set up a similar thread at the begeren colony website: http://begerencolony.org/forum/index.php?topic=1692.0 Update 1: One person has sent me a PM expressing interest in joining the group. I am still unsure what class they would like to fill and I'll have more information shortly. We are still looking for two others to join our group however so please let me know if you are interested. Update 2: Ok found all the characters we need!
  4. @Soopavillin I kind of feel bad that we already have four players. But I really want you to find your own group too. What do you want to play as? I found players faster than I expected. You should then be able to find your own group. I guess we could then start a guild or something or do operations. So anyone who is browsing the forums, we are looking for 3 more players to start with Soopavillin. Post here or send Amadh a PM ingame...
  5. Ok we are looking for a trooper. The three of us are really excited to get started and the first session between Ha'rugo and Kitkin have gone well. Amahd would like to start playing however . If anyone is interested please let us know!
  6. I agree this was a fun read. Can't wait for more!
  7. We have all our players! Ha'rugo, a Chiss Jedi Knight Kitkin, a Human Jedi Consular Neiko, a Cyborg Trooper Amahd, a Human Smuggler If anyone has any questions PM me or contact me in-game (also Amahd) Also let me know if you want me to update information. Can't wait to start!
  8. @Adric_the_Red Thanks! I am pretty sure I would want to be a scoundrel. I don't care as much about the DPS/Healing, and it would depend on the group needs, but I think (from my newbie mind, not sure how well it would work out in practice) it would be kind of cool to be a little of both. If there is already a DPS and a Healer, I would just back either one up by the situation. If I had to pick one or the other, I would prefer Healing I guess but again I don't care either way. Again when for me isn't as big a deal for me, as I could probably do most times (except for sometimes during the weekend). And I would be perfectly fine playing only with the group.
  9. Why am I breaking a rule? I read through the rules and I can't see where I am breaking them. If I am, I am sorry.
  10. Hi I am fairly new to this game. I would like to play through the republic side of the game with a group, one of each character class. The four of us (or however many I can get) would each start the game as normal. The two jedis would play through their planet together, and the trooper and smuggler would play through their planet together. The two groups would meet either on the way to coruscant and play the rest of the game together. I am not experienced at RP, but the point is to have fun in a playing together with different personalities and have fun experiencing everyone's story. So I am very flexible with the amount of RP, my only concern is letting me have enough time to explore areas, listen through all the dialogue, and play through the game, not just trying to rush to level 50. If anyone is interested let me know. I would prefer to play as a Smuggler. I make my own schedule so I am really good playing at any time except for rare exceptions usually on the weekends. Thank you for your time!
  11. I have been playing this game for a few days and there are a lot of things I like and things I don't like about the game. I was hoping I could get a couple of questions answered from the more veteran players. First off, this is my first MMO, but I have been playing for long enough to get the hang of the controls, the interface, and the gameplay. I pretty much understand where to go to find different things you may want. I understand normal missions, class missions, and flashpoints. The game tutorials suggested that I try warzones, but I have not tried them yet. That being said, I really enjoyed the one flashpoint I played a few times. Once I played it with one other player (the other one dropped), and the other one I played with two other players. Both were very fun. I really want to play through one with one player of each class though. I also really liked grouping on missions, even the ones that were not heroics. I liked the fact that you would each choose a response, and there would be a roll off to see which one get to respond (like the one character who chips in first or something). I really enjoyed accompanying a member of my group on their class missions, as I got to see there story too, and I thought it was a fun RP opportunity send a message about what was going on during their story and want my group to play through mine too. I joined a role-playing/player vs environment server but I think I was expecting something different. To me, role-playing means not meta gaming, not grinding. Its enjoying the story, taking the appropriate amount of time, and not just rushing through a level so you can level up or get good items. I want to take the time to listen to all the dialogue and explore areas. My ideal gameplay experience would be to play with three other people (each of us are different characters, and playing through each others class missions. The trooper and smuggler would team up early, while the jedis teamed up on the other starting planet. Then the four would start playing together through the game on coruscant (or the mission to travel to coruscant). I know I don't need help on the missions, and that I know I can complete them myself, but I want to see the other characters stories, and I want to be able to discus what is going on in the missions with semi conflicting personalities and get other characters opinions on my missions and give my opinions on other peoples missions. I am not sure if I am explaining myself well so I apologize if this is confusing. I guess my question to veterans is, how would I go about setting something like this up? I haven't tried any guilds yet (as I don't know about any of them). It is difficult to find people who want to play the way I do. If the way to go about this is through guilds, what guilds do you recommend that would fit my play style? I am on Begeren Colony server if that matters. Thank you for your time. Markamadeo
