  1. So I've got about zero gear, and getting destryoyed as full rage/ venge. Thought I'd maybe try tanking but have low hp for that too, lol. So I'm dinking around with a hybrid... Is this anywhat terrible? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101Gro0zZsGMMbMsRrcs.3 Miss out on shatter yes, but at my gear level was thinking maybe I'd live longer to actually do some dmg with the defensive cd's. I'd use tank stance/shield. Thoughts? Thanks!
  2. Came back for gsf/RotHC, of which I do enjoy, so people who group for that would be welcome as well. The mando and scoundrel are heals atm, shadow is tank. Still working on gear for all. Mostly would like to find a home to run warzones in, and then when geared enough possibly do ranked matches. Also possibly interested in doing pve as I haven't been exposed to any of the RotHC endgame content so far. Thanks!
  3. and then players like me get backfilled into a sheeetstorm of woe and usually a loss from players vacating. also, most of my matches were not back to back; most of my recorded games were doing 1-2 daily quest matches for each char, and i generally rotate gsf and wz matches, to at least have THAT variety. still got hypergate and novare a ton more than any other. and i hate those 2 the most, lol. btw, am noticing that i get arenas more on my chars when im in a more pve spec (balance for my shadow, heals for mando for example). paranoid, i know, but it's getting noticeable.
  4. Ok, so I've been an off and on subscriber since the game came out. Play for a while, get kinda bored, come back when there is new stuff (like I did with GSF/RotHC). I mostly pvp, as I don't really much care for the pve in this game (don't stand in stuff = win). That being said, I do warzones most of the time I play. What I've noticed upon my return, is an utter LACK of so called different warzones to play. Out of 80 games played this past week for example, over multiple chars (both factions, <30, <54, and 55), I've done: Hypergate 26 times Novare 18 times huttball 15 times 4 man arenas 13 times civil war 5 times voidstar 3 times Of course, my 2 favorites are at the very bottom. Huttball I kinda like actually, and is in mid range. Arenas don't really bother me, as either way they can be fast, but I DO notice that they pop more often when I'm on a char who I absolutely do not like using in them (commando, sorc); rarely if ever get then on my vanguard, assassin, etc. I just did an example today, 5 games on my sage, went hypergate, hypergate, novare, novare, novare. 3 of the games, I was a backfill*-I'm guessing others are sick of these 2 wz maps as well, lol. I'M VERY SICK OF THESE 2 WZ! Please do something for variety's sake. I can't be alone in this! *P.S. Is anything *EVER* going to be done about people leaving warzones? I hate to mention WoW, but last I played you did get a penalty timer not allowing you to requeue for other games. I think something along those lines would help.
  5. I'm a pvp'er by heart. That being said, the #1 thing that annoys me isn't losing a match, but it's when people quit out. I've pretty much learned to never accept an instant wz queue, because 90% of the time, I'll be a backfill coming into a *****storm of complaining by everyone who stayed. Now the team is even more demoralized and results in a very unsatisfying game. I do tend to notice this happening more on the pub side vs imp, though there have been exceptions. So, what's been your experience, in the commitment to the bitter (which could be glorious) end of your fellow team mates?
  6. Have you ever stopped to think, just for 1 second, that topping the wz damage meter doesn't mean d*ck in the grand scheme of things? How about defending your healers, taking objectives, or burning down enemy healers? Yes, rage is a high damage spec...because it's aoe. You may do 1mil while that operative (barring lethality*) did 700k...mostly in solo target dmg, IE actually killing people. 20k damage to a healer > 30k damage on 3 people which will be healed back. Maybe the patch will fix what is really needed with the rage tree-get it to the point where your main focus is still to take out 1 target at a time, instead of being an aoe smashtard. Still works for pve so can't whine about that. IMO carnage is more fun anyways. *If I spec for my insta hot and hit everyone, + spam corrosive dart and grenade constantly, i can get a ton of dmg and healing. But does my healing save anyone really, or bother to really kill anyone? Nope. Stacking damage while killing no one is worthless.
  7. debating canceling my sub for now as its getting a bit stale, and the resub date crept back up to today (instead of the 16th, somehow) and the servers magically disappear, lol...did they forget to pay their hosting fees? they sure have my money to do so with...
  8. here's my input. on my lvl 39 sniper, im noticing that my damage is really about the same except vs far lower levels than me; for some reason im seeing that im doing far less that pre patch; for example, in a civil war game i just did, on a 22 commando, ambush would hit for 500ish, instead of the normal 1k+ on heavy armor. i highly doubt the 5% chance to shield for a commando kicked in because it happened more than once. im engi, haven't really tried another tree but my survivability is drastically lower. even with full points in shield probe for the extra 30%, and double shields (from emp), other classes are just chewing thru me alive. so why was my damage lowered, survivability lowered, and not a gd thing was in the patch notes?
