  1. Ok, by know you are seen so many people complain about ratings. I for one am one of them. I pulled the following numbers from the leaderboards at 10:34PM Hawaii time, all of the totals are the number of individuals currently at or over 1500 Rating on solo ranked: 214 - PTs/Vanguards (22%) I know you are surprised....I sure was 180 - Maur/Sent (18%) 150 - Shadow/Assassian (15%) 141 - OP/Scoundral (14%) 112 - Sage/Sorc (11%) 84 - Jug/Guardian (9%) 59 - Merc/Mando (6%) 39 - Sniper/Slinger (4%) Ok, so why am I showing you these numbers? Well, if you add up the bottom three classes, they don't even add up to the first place class. This tells me I need to roll a Maur/PT just to have the best chance of getting to tier 1. If you play any other class, you are likely to never make it, because everyone else is playing the "OP" classes. This alone should tells BW to change the tier system to accommodate those that have stuck with their class, even if they are not FOTM. Not even a thousand (Across all servers and some accounts have earned more than one) people will earn the Rancor, which is by design I am assuming, but still kind of crazy to me. I did not look at the team rankings, but don't think I the numbers would be that much different, and the same individuals will probably be leading those boards as well. I would really hope BW really thinks about redesigning the ranking system, or the tier system one or the other needs to be tweaked.
  2. OK, I typically don't post anything, just laugh at those that do post (I guess I am being laughed at right now). I have an issue with how you gain and lose points in solo ranked. If you are in a WZ, and you don't have a full team for what ever reason, you will lose the same amount of points even if you have a full team. This is definitely something that needs to be worked. I recommend you develop a system for not deducting points from a solo team, for a loss they were never in the game to begin with. I have a very sore spot for this, since my rating was at 1487, and would have been 1500 if it hadn't been for an unfortunate game where one of my teammates DC'd during the second round of a match we were already 1-0 on. At the time I thought nothing of it, I could continue on and will eventually earn my rating back. Now with all the baddies, forgive me, inexperienced players playing I probably will never see the sought after 1500 rating I am so eagerly trying to achieve, which makes this problem even more frustrating. I am now on a downward slop of bad team mates (wearing PVE gear) or just losing close games. I am just not enjoying the games, as I should be. Since you are aware of this problem, you should allow some sort of alibi to grant these unfortunate individuals, such as my self the points they missed to get the Rancor. Obviously this will probably never happen, so i will be like the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Championship thinking of how close I was to achieving victory, but instead tasted the bitterness of defeat. That all said, I really think you need to broaden the range of individuals eligible for the rancor mount. Yes if you win the first 10 games in solo you can achieve the 1500 rating, but one unfortunate game and that is not going to happen. As of now roughly 3% of individuals are actually eligible for the mount. Looking at that number I didn't even go into looking at the classes that are "Gimp" atm (i.e. Merc/Commando) who make up that 3% but I am pretty sure it is maybe 40 total individuals. I feel I play my class as well as the next guy and I will get beat by a player of the same skill level just because he has a certain class, but that is not my current issue and I know it is just an MMO problem, not a SWTOR problem. But to fix this current problem, and make alot of players happy, I recommend expanding the Tier 1 requirement to 5% of the entire population. What ever that rating is at the time. Or lower it to a 1475 or 1450 ish rating (only opens it up to 360ish more people). I love this game and have been playing it since launch, and this is one thing that has been bugging me. Thanks for taking the time to read this short story, hope it makes sense and you truly consider making the suggested change. Have a great day, AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!!
