  1. Pax clearly values relationship as their top priority. Immediately, application to the Pax community establishes clear expectations: Get to know each other Share your personality Become familiar with the community structure And through that structure, a routine is developed that helps break down the anonymity so that members and recruits can interact more personally. Through that structure, recruits realize the value, time and resource that members put into Pax. A two-week application seems excessive, but through it, you witness the love for relationship and community that Pax has fostered. By the end of the process, both members and recruits know if this community is right for them.
  2. 1. Please tell us a little about yourself. Why do you want to be a part of the Czerka family? This is ex-[REDACTED] Cartley, previously employed by Imperial [REDACTED], contacting Czerka Corporations in regard to your recent posting of the CZ-198 application. It's come to my attention through various sources that you've simultaneously developed a new variant of the [REDACTED] and lost control of your [REDACTED]. Considering my extensive pedigree in [REDACTED] and biochemical engineering, it's not a question of why I should be a part of the Czerka family but can you afford to ignore an operative of my reputation. 2. At Czerka, we pride ourselves on our accomplishments. Please name three of your accomplishments that you are most proud of. (Please do not include family milestones such as marriages or the birth of your children.) Stopping a galactic coup by Darth [REDACTED] and then later also Darth [REDACTED] Subduing the [REDACTED] by entering his vault along side a team of highly trained and equipped [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] Combating the [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] and preventing a systemic global meltdown 3. How did you go about achieving the accomplishments above. Would you say you would do "whatever it takes" for success? I prefer not to discuss my methods in such an open forum. Should you message me at [REDACTED], I'm confident we can discuss in more than sufficient detail the abundant skills of myself and my crew. 4. Would you say you have a strong moral compass? Do you think this could get in the way of your job, should you be asked to do something...questionable? I've never sacrificed my morals to achieve a job, but I've also never left a job unfinished. 5. You are about to enjoy our wide variety of complimentary cocktails and snacks, when you notice that your esteemed colleague's newest experiment is likely to break out of their confines while you are gone. How would you handle this situation? Quick thinking and a quicker blade should keep this experiment subdued without any other guests being disturbed. I look forward to hearing from you, but should I not, be assured that I remain ever vigilant and informed of your actions. ~Cartley
  3. I managed to get an Explorer Repulsorlift. Now I just need the Explorer Chassis.
  4. I've looked around for prices on these GSI pieces and can't find anything. We can talk price in-game, though, if you want. Send me a tell. I've also managed to pick up a couple of Exploiter pieces, if you're interested in trading.
  5. Got all my Explorer parts. Thanks to those who messaged me and helped out! -- I'm looking to trade the Exploiter Repulsorlift or Exploiter Jet Engine for the Explorer Chassis. If you have the Explorer Chassis or want to buy the Exploiter parts, please send me a tell in-game. Name: Cartley (Imperial--I have Republic alts, as well)
  6. He's a popular gaming journalist/player who uploads regular content to YouTube to review current games, upcoming games and gaming news--like any sports journalist but for gaming. Not that any of that means you should care, but now you know.
  7. If you're focusing on PvP and can pick only one of those, grab Chem-Resistant Inlays. A lot of people claim that energy management is wasted in PvP because of the quick battles and death/respawn, so they'll advise against Endorphin Rush (and even Prognosis: Critical and Patient Studies--zero energy management). I understand the logic but disagree, because if your team is doing well, you'll stay alive and wish you had the stamina that the energy skills allow. If you're doing poorly, then you're probably dying anyways, no matter your spec. Here's my build, and I love PvP on my Op: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#4010cZhZMffrzGRRds.2 I go heavy into the Medicine tree at the sake of Deadly Directive (+Alacrity) and Slip Away (+Speed when using Debilitate) from the Lethality tree. Slip Away is a great skill if you're regularly having melee on you, but I found that I could perform just as well by grabbing Evasive Imperative (another +Speed skill) and Endorphin Rush (great energy management). This spec also allows you to run HM and Ops.
  8. My Operative spec is Medic, which others perceive as the current powerhouse healer, with its instant heals at <30% health, on-the-move HoTs, multiple crowd control, and a few defensive cooldowns, including an in-combat stealth. Concealment seems to be the perceived joke spec right now with a highly specialized set of skills and burst attacks. My Operative's Medic spec is definitely powerful, and I would agree that it's arguably the best PvP healer currently. The spec has high mobility with instant cast heals, great energy management, and plenty of defensive/escape abilities. For Concealment, I think it's useless unless used in its specialized manner (typically multiple Concealment Operatives in a coordinated PvP group), and in that case, it badly abuses crowd control and is still incredibly frustrating to play against.
  9. You wouldn't be. You'd have the choice of either paying $15 for 30 days game time or paying $10-30 for extra content and 90 days game time. A pretty easy choice to make considering 90 days game time costs at least $40-45. It's like when City of Heroes released the Mac version for $10, which included 30 days of game time. Sure, it's DLC, but for $10, it's worth buying it just to save on the subscription cost (not to mention the extra content that you got).
  10. Highlighted the important parts. As long as you plan to play the game for three months, the DLC would need to cost more than $45 for there be any pricing difference in what you'd already pay.
  11. With an upcoming increased level cap, do you have a strategy for keeping current Operations still pertinent and desirable to players (something like level 50 versions and then higher level versions)? The current Operations are fun, and though I'd love being able to run a higher level group of four through one, I'd hate to see them stop being competitive options for gear progression at level cap--whatever that cap may be.
  12. Some ideas... I wonder if BioWare intentionally set a lower level cap knowing they'd want to add more content and increase the level cap fairly early after launch? They may have had content in development going up to level 55 or 60 but only released the first 50 levels of it to ensure a polished starting experience (and that allows an excuse to release new content and more levels). Will BioWare develop a method for having Operations adjust to the players' level? Gear is always being updated so the gear grind is perpetual. However, losing content because of an increased level cap sucks, especially in a fresh MMO that needs to be growing its content offerings. Hopefully, BioWare has some strategy for keeping older Operations pertinent and desirable, even with increasing level caps (like if they were accessible at level 50 but then had higher level versions, too).
  13. I was just thinking about this, and even though this thread is old, I'll add my thoughts here. I love this idea of unlocking titles through the Legacy, but the achievements would need to be pretty substantial to validate a Legacy-wide unlock. The family titles are great. Maybe it's some kind of accolade that you unlock at a certain Legacy level (like 50), and you can ascribe that title to one character in your legacy (aesthetic value only). That would make difficult to achieve and unique to that character. I was thinking about content-related titles, like if you get a character to War Hero in PvP, then you unlock the Legacy title "Battleborn," which can be used by any character in that Legacy to say, "Yeah, I've played a lot of PvP--beware." Or raiders could unlock "the Unwavering/the Resolute/the Persistent" for completing all Operations on Nightmare. This seems like a relatively easy achievement/reward system to implement and easily lends itself to more a personalized Legacy.
  14. I've noticed this on my server as well and have been using it while gearing up. I also just talked with one of my server's top healers, and he said he tends to always stack Expertise as a healer just because of the -30% WZ debuff.
