  1. Some people just can't seem to grasp this. The argument seems to be "you do OK with a healer, so what if half your item budget is wasted on stats that do nothing?" - I'm sure they'd feel the same way if their PVP gear was full of +Presence.
  2. Only the Armor slot. The Mod and Enhancements can be removed. (Not too expensive, either. ~27k for each removal.)
  3. Oh yeah, that 8% heal on Guardian Leap is hard to pass up. Certainly worth losing the 5% guard damage (In fact both defense bonuses are completely wack.)
  4. People don't necessarily want to get their gear quickly, what they don't want is for other people to get theirs faster for the same (or less) effort. It would be better if the bags gave no items at all, than how it is now.
  5. I rolled a Guardian and I want to switch to a Vanguard!! What? It's just as reasonable as what you're asking. Advanced classes are classes. Not specs. At the very most I think levels 10-20 could be a grace period in which you could switch once if you choose.
  6. There's 2 PVP weekly quests at 50. I'd also like to know when they reset.
  7. Did it earlier, at level 49 Defense specced. T7 died pretty much outright (chest bugged so couldn't upgrade his lowbie gear anyway) Cheesed it. Saber throw to pull. He ports and makes clones; leap in. Don't start AOE'ing, it doesn't seem to take out the clones. Instead, hit Awe and start hitting them individually. (Note, the boss himself will be the only one with a less than 100% health bar, so you know who not to hit) Pop defensive CD's if necessary. When clones are down, force push the boss and run out of the room, all the way down the stairs and out to the large pillar. There's a ledge around this pillar, you can jump on and off of it to force the boss to head all the way around the other side to try and reach you. You can do this for as long as you need to regain your potion/defensive CD's. Now, do some damage to him and he'll port back to the throne room. When he and his clones make their way back down, get up on the ledge and round them up for another Awe. Rinse, Repeat. I found this method to be pretty much fool proof in the end.
  8. 47 Defense Guardian. I have found some challenge in solo content (especially a couple of the class quest bosses.) but nothing frustratingly difficult. I felt that it did nothing but add to the experience. There's nothing more anticlimactic than finally getting to face that big bad Sith Lord the story has been leading up to, and facerolling him.
  9. Disable General chat. First thing I do when entering a new MMO.
  10. Good luck to those still waiting. Though I don't think you'll need it - can't see everyone not being in by tonight.
  11. Being in the UK, I think this maintenance time is fine. Not many play in the morning, do they? Maybe if you work nights. They have to plan around the majority, though.
  12. I think most people that power to 50 will have probably experienced the story in Beta. Good luck to 'em. I'm taking it easy as this will be my first playthrough, but I'm not going to get bent out of shape about how others choose to spend their gametime.
  13. That's what it says in the launcher.
