  1. Will space missions ever become more dynamic like x-wing/TIE Fighter where you can choose your own directions of travel instead of just riding a rollercoaster while holding down the left mouse button???
  2. Alilia on Hoth has no fade-to-black scenes with smuggler. You can flirt with her repeatedly and she keeps talking like somethign will happen, but in the final scene you justs ave her, send her back to teh republic abse. Then you talk to her at the Republic base and send her and her "child" to the jedi with no flirt options. Also, watcher 2 is crazy difficult to keep alive with that dailogue. Never got the intitial kiss, but got he fade-to-black at end of chapter 1, never flirted with Kaliyo and with the beginning of act 2 dialogue said "what about...", which did not inlcude relationship, justy myc rew and my life and that was the last line of dialgoue and none of the other dialogue options at all related to any kind of mention about the fact we have slept together.
  3. Actually the smuggler was the most blatantly obvious class that at the end of chapter II, the war had started again.
  4. I have done 7/8ths of the classes all to level 25+, several in 40+. Republic is actually more fun for the general quests. For class stories - Sith warrior, and IA still are 2 of the best, but trooper and jedi knight also have great stories (avoid JC (dull voice and dull story) and SI (moronic ghostbusting story)) . For dialogue - smuggler is hands down the best (also great voice acting) and is the only class I have been able to play twice through because frankly the dialogue is in almost every quest, whereas the stoyline usually only involves 2-3 quest leadins on each planet making dialogue more important than stroyline for replayability.
  5. I've played all the classes to level 20+, many to 40+ (except Sith inquistor, played alongside a friend who was one and the idea of being a ghostbuster in a star wars environment was too stupid to contemplate). Don't play Jedi Consular for the story, companions, or dialogue. Other classes have much better in all these categories (Story - IA, SW, Trooper; Companions - Smuggler, IA, BH; Dialogue - Smuggler, smuggler, smuggler). But being a sneaky tank with good dps (jedi shadow) and some of the other possibilities is one of the more enjoyable classes to play for pure game mechanics.
  6. The gift to enhance your ship was the ship droid. Obviously if you had done the quest differently it would not have mattered as the droid just greets you when you enter as his new amster regardless of how you got him. So its more stroyline gift than an actual one. (she already put out for you, what more do you want?? roses??)
  7. Also, BH end quest if he helps chancellor then the chancellor resigns and sends you an email saying Saresh became the new chancellor.
  8. Smuggler is the same way. Seems Jedi and Sith tend to not get to be smart, multi-dimensional people. Also, other than Voss I actually enjoyed Republic side a lot more for replayability value. The bonus series tended to make a lot more sense and actually be enjoyable instead of just a random assortment of unrelated quests. They also tend to offer more diplomatic options for the general quests instead of sith side - kill everyone or torture and then kill everyone. Im replaying smuggler all over again its so much fun as the dialogue throughtout all these main questlines is so much better than any other class with great voices on both male and female side (jedi consular has to be downright the worst with sith inquistor close second and male jedi knight voice sounds like a balding short guy with glasses that doesn't have the strength to lift a lightsaber - not sure where they got that guy from to play the "hero" of the jedi). Male sith warrior also has a great voice for his role. Your storyline usually only makes up about 15-20% of your playing if you notice. So having really good dialogue options and good voice acting in the general quest line series makes a HUGE difference for enjoying the game. I am even to the point of space barring my jedi consualr's class quest responses its so dullllllll!
  9. Flirting with akaavi spar on your ship: something somehting.... Rawrrrrrr, "curls 1 hand into a cat's claw" - the delivery was just lol funny When Akaavi spar asks if you are interested in her as a woman, if you select no, you say: "Seriously, can't a guy flirt without everyone assuming he's into chicks with horns." She is s greats atright man to your mockery that flies over her head. Smuggler's attempts at flirtations are by far and away the funniest of all the classes.
  10. Smuggler is definitely 10/10 for me. Only class of the 7 I have played I am dreadign an end to the story and started another one just to replay it again. The dialogue is far and a way the best for all the classes and I can't wait to try it now on a female toon with her snarky, great voice.
  11. When you are flirting with Akaavi Spar as a smuggler, she is the perfect straight man to your humor as she never realizes you are mcking her. I forget the words (it was a flirt), you end it with Rawrrrrr like a cat and curling one hand like a claw. The delivery was ridiculously funny. Another time she asks if you are interested in her as a woman and you say " no", which comes out as "Seriously, can't a guy flirt without everyone assuming he's into chicks with horns." Lot of great funny lines for smuggler in wooing both Risha and Akaavi. Hit escape key a lot to try them all as they were all funny. When you flirt with Akaavi with risha beside you and say "I never argue with a woman with a plan", risha responds in a great sarcastic voice "Since when??"
  12. Best: Risha (Smuggler) Kaliyo (Imperial Agent) Vette (Sith Warrior) Gault (Bounty Hunter) The snarkiest and funniest companions, love having them tag along for their comments while entering a new area or in conversations. Laugh out loud funny. Worst: Corso (Smuggler) Jaesa (Sith Warrior) Quinn (Sith Warrior) Last one for Bounty Hunter, blanking on name, seemed just randomly thrown in there First 3 were sooo boring and predictable and whiny or kiss ups. There was almost no dimension to them and they were not enjoyable to talk to. Quinn and Corso in battle had the most annoying, whiny voices - the ship droid became preferable.
  13. Not the same as winning. Min-maxing is about having the best gear so skill plays less of a factor so you can feed the e-peen. Its not about fun, its about feeding the e-peen without actually needing to be more skillfull than the people you fight. Its what bad players/clans do to fel good about themselves and then they ***** when the playing field becomes more level. Frankly, biochem is insanely OP still with reusable adrenals alone, let alone medpacks, no one can afford to buy that many 15 second adrenals. And at root, isnt that what the crew skills do for you in all the other crew skill classes? Get you a couple items that would be expensive to buy otherwise and then sell those items to others on the GTN and make more money? Oh wait, but Biochem and Cybertech are still the only ones that get items that only you cna sue and CT has a useless 5 minute cooldown compared to BC's 90 second cooldown, with you popping an adrenal AND a medpack every 90 seconds if you want.
  14. What does that matter??? You are playing in a guild that believes in winning over fun because having max everything making winning easy takes SO MUCH SKILL!! lol. So you picked the most OP crafting skill and now you are crying because its slightly worse but still the best crafting skill?? Just play and have fun, the stories are great and the PvP is **** anyway, this game was not designed for PvP. I mean seriously "Huttball", who would be dumb enough to play a star wars game to compete in playing online rugby???
  15. Depends a lot on temperment. I tend to play games to have fun and have been playing all but the JK stories so far with all these charactaers 30+ (except JC). For fun, Smuggler is hands down best choice. Instead of waiting for the interludes and brief end of planet storyline development to keep me interested, I am constantly enthralled by the everyday quest conversations and will often ESC key to hear all the possible things I could say, because they are literally laugh out loud funny. Trooper is better suited for a more serious focused role and is easier to level in general (healer as 2nd companion, easier to be a tank or have really high dps compared to smuggler for same or similar level as operative/scoundrel come more into their own in PvP and at higher levels), The storyline has more of a grand arc to it that works well and is more "heroic" but less light-hearted then the smuggler. I also really enjoyed Bounty Hunter's companions (except Skadge - didnt fit in at all), but the storyline was the most repetitive of any that I have seen with every planet from start to finish being a bounty hunt (I know, I know, he is a bounty hunter, but a smuggler didnt need to smuggle on every planet and an operative doesn't need to infiltrate an organization every planet - its called mixing it up, changing the storyline and Act III could have been so much more for BH). Sith warrior is one of the better ones for characters and well-done storylines as well. Ones to avoid - Jedi Consular and Sith Inquistor. Once you've played all the storylines you realize how disappointingly bland and poor writing these stories were.
