  1. Just to better direct this conversation, i have added the patch note on this: *The amount of Valor, Commendations, and credits awarded at the end of a Warzone is now based on your team's score, with a bonus for the winning team. Experience rewards are still based on the amount of time spent in the Warzone.* *Players who earn few to no medals now have overall rewards reduced (for instance, an AFK player would receive no rewards). * Experience is based on the amount of time you spend in them, the commendations, valor and credits are all based on your teams score, with a bonus for the winning team. Lastly anyone without at least 3 medals (I think), gets little to nothing.
  2. I would like to see a persistent open world PVP zone that, instead of trying to balance the factions, embraces the faction imbalances. This zone would have multiple control points with different objectives: Bases, bunkers that can be captured and defended. Based on the number of points controlled by any given faction the zone would have three separate phases: “Republic Control”, “Imperial Control” and “War”. In the control phases there would be a “dominate” faction and a “rebel” faction. The Dominant faction would have NPC patrols (four packs of weak and standard mobs), flags posted around the zone and a weak or non-combat server wide buff for bragging rights. Cosmetic bonuses and the feeling of control and ability to express their epeen. Nothing that would allow a dominant faction to gear up faster or get more credits than the smaller one. The rebel faction would have rebel bonuses that promote guerrilla style warfare. Things like drop ships or tunnels that can land a platoon smack dab in the middle of a base, or traps/ bombs that can be set up on the side of the road. Also hidden mortar units that can shell a bases defence from a distance so they have to break off a platoon to find and take it out. Basically tools that would break up the defending team and could be exploited by small mobile forces. In the War phase you would have NPC’s from both factions battling it out, so that they player feels like they are part of a big war. This transition phase could be chaotic and most likely short lived on each server and could provide a weak zone wide buff for both factions. Add Champion bosses and damageable walkers that can patrol the zone engaging NPCs and Players alike. For those that need a reason to be there, add dailies to the zone. 2 dailies for each control point; one for the defending faction and one for the rebel faction. To avoid win trading only allow a player to complete one daily per control point. The defender dailies can be something like gathering resources for the base they are at and the rebel daily can be planting listening devices or hitting local NPC patrols. The Defender dailies would be available at their corresponding control point to and the rebel dailies could all be acquired at a separate Rebel base. In the war phase no dailies will be available so that factions will focus on gaining the extra base(s) The rebel base could be a separate area either via terrain or phasing, that only the rebel side has access to. This would be where their daily quests are given and a spawn point when then die. This base would have multiple access points to the zone, so that it would be impossible to camp the entrance. Possibly speeder bikes that take the player to various map points of their choosing. Could even be like the drop ships in Alderan. Last but not least, let me summon the ice lord and make it epically difficult to do.
  3. Hate to jump in here, but full auto sucks as assault, and should only be used as a filler when everything else is down Your assault priority should be stock strike and HIB on cool down, keep your burn dots up with Ion pulse and incidentally round. Fill it out with full auto and your hammer shots. Assault is the only tree that requires you to use the associated cell to be any good. If you are specced into assault and don't have your plasma cell running, you're wasting too many talent points. If you want a nice blend of both worlds, try this Tatical Assault Build: http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/trooper/vanguard/#::fe6fe4fefef3ef20e2fefefe2f4e2f2
  4. Afternoon all, Can anyone tell me how to split up a stack of mats?
  5. I'm planning on Rolling with M1-4X, just for the looks. Plus being a cybertech, I'll have him decked out in Blues all the time and use the extra commendations for myself.
  6. Having played a bounty hunter all through beta, I do find it very difficult to use the trooper abilities in PVP. I usually just skip using full auto completely and save mortar volly for the rare occasion were a group is cc'd. Granted I understand that part of the delay with Mortar Volly is to account for the time it takes for the BH to launch up into the air before they start shooting, but i still feel like it is longer. I also find with stock-strike that I have to spam the button in PVP to get it off, where as a BH I usually only pressed rocket punch once or maybe twice to get it off. Of course I ride the GCD, so a lot of that is just waiting for it to come up. I just felt like there was more ability sync with the BH then i am finding with my trooper. What i mean by that is I could watch my character moves and time my next moves, where now I watch the GCD to time my next moves. Still love my vanguard and the damage he does
  7. I think it was removed in a previous build, but we'll see if it turns back up.
  8. I find so far early leveling on Republic side, that the Driod armor sells really well. There are plenty of new Jedi out there looking to gear up their first companion. As I'm leveling, I craft droid armor with any UT mats I get and have well over 40k at level 20 with purple mods in my PVP chest, pants and gun along with a store of grenades. It's been realy easy and fun to level.
  9. This is a good thing and why i got it. Also, mine is teathered to my computer monitor with my dusty wow one.
  10. Wow, Thank you! i am very impressed with the transparency and communication coming from you guys. i expected 2+ hours ques this week a long time ago and have no problem coming home, quing up and spending time with my wife. The effort and commitment you are putting forward, has just gone to further stabilize my commitment as a customer. Keep up the good work!
  11. Nice video. I've been playing the same spec to 18 right now and loving it in PVP. kudos
  12. Not sure, but it would make sense if they did that. Preemptive move to the people complaining about cybertech grenades being op and mandatory in any competitive PVP.
  13. I believe there was a post about this earlier, but these functions has been temporarily disabled on the website, but will be back soon.
  14. If my que is longer that 3 hours, I will re-roll when I get home. Just to try out a class I never planned on playing. If not, I will start the que make dinner, watch some eps of dexter with my wife, relax and get in when I get in. I would much rather stable servers with long ques, then a launch plagued with DC's, crashes and Laaaaaaaag... Like you find with other game launches.
