  1. Team with the most wins is never a good way to set up a game. It is self reinforcing, and leads to boredom and more drivel like that post. Cap Ilum at 40-50 people per side per instance instead of a single cap for both factions. Can't believe they didn't do this already.
  2. I'd enjoy it if they fixed the particle cannons so we could even the odds. They despawned yesterday, and it was just plain boring from there on in. We're currently bouncing between 3 and 4/1, and it's a blast when we can sneak behind and blow them away. We really just don't have the output to deal with it head on. The turrets change that. Now we don't even have those, and it's honestly just a terrible, terrible system.
  3. Assessing the strength of the tree tier by tier is about the worst possible way to go about balancing. How people think this way is just absolutely mystifying to me. If anything, the bottom of the tree should be less important defensively, and the top of the tree needs more buffs to put the breaks on this Hybrid Vigilance heavy tank spec that's arguably more effective damage reduction than the Defense tree is.
  4. PvP, true story. PvE, not so much. The increased % damage is not worth the loss of Force Exhaustion, as its overall DPCD is absolutely absurd given its standalone damage and the boost it provides to every other Force Sweep.
  5. The specific bug he was referring to was the 1shot bug. That one certainly does.
  6. If you can't make it past the trash, nerfing the Emperor won't fix your problem.
  7. Those posts are idiotic. Shield generators are absolutely HORRIBLE in PvP. They really are. There are about 8 total specs that have shieldable attacks.
  8. It winds up a bit focus starved anywhere you're not being consistently and repeatedly stunned, but that's currently not the case on most encounters (which is a probable cause of some of the threat complaints people are having as well). This is because of the shorter cooldown on Overhead than Guardian Slash, and the loss of Cyclonic Sweeps/Courage. Workable due to how strong Unremitting and Protector are. In response to the Orange (Custom) armor question, sure. The big thing for keeping that armor up to date is with Mods/Enhancements purchased with planetary commendations. You probably won't want more than 2-3 orange pieces, as it takes 11 commendations to update a piece completely, and 30 or so is generally what you'll get on a planet xping at an average rate.
  9. Wai... It was the correct forum. W.A.I. Means working as intended.
  10. While it does make picking up instant force stasis, and the force stasis damage bonus to Sweep, it overlooks autocrit. Essentially, a full Focus build has an instant Force Stasis (not a stun, but in terms of damage it's better) on 1/3 the CD, and picks up autocrit. Not worth it by any stretch of the imagination.
  11. Only works when you will be CC'd heavily or reliably and therefore have focus reserves from Defiance. If you're going to be stunned more than once every 15 seconds or so, Defiance is actually a better focus talent than Victory Rush is. Sadly, that's true in a lot of raid tank scenarios.
  12. Shield isn't really all that important in PvP except when fighting other Guardians or Combat specced Sentinels. The only things it works on are those tooltips which explicitly say "Weapon Damage" or just "Damage", and most classes/specs that aren't Guardians will get most of their damage from either a set Kinetic or Elemental damage source. Evasion is a little bit broken right now.
  13. Honestly, if they move Unremitting and Protector into accessible places for 31 point Guardian tanks, I would rather have the Push -> CD Reset. The way it is though, with almost no ability to generate ANY viable ranged threat, and the tendency for mobs to immediately CC (via Stun, Choke, or Knockback) a target with threat that enters melee range, not being able to access Unremitting is a completely broken tank imbalance. Their penchant for that instaCC makes what should be an excellent PvP DPS talent in to a tank's best friend, so much so that it makes taking the 31 point talent seem a bit off. Something about that needs to change, be it the removal of the instaCC, or the Vigilance tree being shuffled around.
  14. Step 1: Get through Balmorra and get Doc. Step 2: Proceed to grind through to end game with relative ease Doc SHOULD be on Alderaan if they wanted to make the game significantly less brutal in the middle, but getting him before the Angral fight would kind of trivialize it a bit.
