  1. I"m very close to removing the game from my computer and unsubbing too. If no new flashpoints (and I don't mean that tactical ********) or raids are available by the time Dark & Light comes out, I'm gone. My guild has already disintegrated, there's really no reason for me to stay at this point...just holding on for nostalgia's sake
  2. All of which are garbage for a new lvl70 toon, as the poster pointed out he/she was a new lvl70. Was this a serious thought, or just a lame troll attempt??
  3. ^ This, times infinity. Excellent post clearly quantifying the frustrations of many players who PVP or raid, not the solo gamers who should return to thier Xbox. What a shame EA/Bioware won't even read this post, let alone take it to heart and act on it.
  4. Out of my first 34 crates on my main toon, I've gotten exactly 1 piece of set bonus gear. ONE! Now comes this kick in the nuts change gearing - RNG + grind? Good job morons, excellent solution. I'm sure I'm the only sub who's unhappy about this.
  5. Stop it! Don't bring your logic to these forums. Shut up, subscribe, and keep buying items from the cartel market while we continue to focus on solo content for our...MMO?
  6. ^ This, x100...but EA/Bioware doesn't give a damn. Just keep buying those cartel packs and running solo content. This game was so much better and enjoyable at launch, even with the bugs.
  7. Most true statement I've read on forums since I came back a month ago.
  8. Haven't done the new chapter stories...absolutely no interest in them. Can't believe I left WoW a month ago to come back to this BS. Right now just banging my face against the wall working on GCP....thinking of going back to WoW and staying this time (if I do leave that is)
  9. This would be too easy and too obvious. They'll never do it.
  10. Beta tester and sub, but left a little more than a year ago because of lack of new content - meaning a lacking of new Raids and Flashpoints. Tactictal flashpoints was the last straw for me personally, and I went back to World of Warcraft. I came back here less than a month ago, and a few things stand out as major disappointments. 1- There are no new raids since I've left 2- There are no new Flash Points 3- Focus of the Devs seems to be squarely on the cartel market still, instead of new playable content....hell, there aren't even any new PVP maps 4- My perception is there has been a large turnover in player population....what was once farmable content by the overwhelming majority of the player population has become incredibly difficult despite no obvious change in mechanics. I'm presuming this is due to the dumbing down of the gameplay (looking at you tactical flashpoints and solo mode content) and oversimplification of the gameplay as a whole. When this game was launched, it was fabulous. Yes I remember it's faults and problems, I don't have on blinders. But, it was a MMO based in a Star Wars Universe. The MMO portion seems to be largely ignored for the last year or two. Subscribers seem to have a high turnover rate. If EA/Bioware are serious about this game I think the following recommendations would bring back old players, attract new ones, and line the coffers better than the cartel market ever could. 1- Remember this is (supposed to be) a MMO. Focus your developmental efforts on GROUP content. Putting out AT LEAST one new flashpoint each quarter and a new raid every six months should not be a problem if EA/Bioware is serious about making this game a continued success. If this isn't feasible, then EA/Bioware clearly does not have the appropriate assets dedicated to making this game everything it can be/it used to be. 2- Find your religion and be faithful - the holy trinity of tank/heals/dps is what builds communities in MMOs. Solo content, weakly written story "chapters", and dps facerolling tactical flashpoints are your way of cutting your own throat as a gaming company. Just because you own exclusive rights to the Star Wars universe doesn't mean fans will remain fans no matter how bad the game is. Remember that,...if you haven't already figured it out for yourself based on what I suspect are plummeting sub numbers compared to what you had at launch or even at the end of the first year. 3- Get back to individualized story/game play. Each toon originally felt like a new game. The stories were enthralling. Get away from the homogenized "one story fits all" mindset. Even in new content, this makes playing an alt feel like an unwelcome grind, which only creates more resentment. Granted, none of what I've typed is new, each is a common complaint of the players I know. But, I feel they bare repeating and I think EA/Bioware would be wise to think about how they can regain the current players' passion that existed at launch. Do that and everyone, players and developers alike, will most likely be much happier.
  11. Absolutely agree! Not being legacy wide means alts are often ignored so 1 "main" can grind away levels for CXP.
  12. Sounds good, as I'm prior military myself. But, I only play Imp toons. I should have specified that in my OP, sorry. Thanks for the response anyway, sounds like you have a great guild.
  13. Played since beta, left in December and came back a week ago. What I'm HOPING to find in a new guild home: 1) Use Ventrilo (I'm open to TS3 possibly, but won't raid with mumbl) 2) Ego-free, laid back raiding for SM comm runs and progression (16mans preferred over 8mans)...if at all possible, I'm looking for raid times in the afternoon/early evening during the week or weekend 3) Helpful and social guild mates who log into and chat in v/o besides raiding 4) A guild that doesn't mind me swearing in v/o, a guild that is mature (30years old and up would be great), a guild that doesn't have any religious or die hard political leanings (or if so, members keep their silly religious beliefs and political thoughts to themselves) What I can offer you: 1) dps sorc in 180 gear (except hilt) who can heal in an emergency (no set bonus for either dps or heal) 2) dps jugg who can tank as a last option (meaning, if I don't tank we don't raid...I'm a very average tank, and my tank gear sucks, but I do have the 4peice bonuse for tanking, so in an emergency I can fill in with the understanding that tanking is not my primary role...my dps gear for this toon needs upgrading too) 3) helpful, social guildmate who doesn't normally stand in stupid....yes, i realize fire burns, lol 4) FYI, I cannot commit to a raid schedule; my work schedule changes each week, and I raid on my days off (up to 4 days a week) 5) depending on how things go, I may have up to 3 or 4 friends to bring with me...one who tanks, one who heals, and both excel at their roles If you're recruiting and think I may be a good fit, respond with your guild website and a toon to wsp in game to chat if I'm interested thanks.
