  1. How is this going to effect Conquest for the next week?
  2. The event is just a timesink to bridge the end of Season 1 and Season 2 of their storyline. The next few months won't have anything new, to give the devs time to work on the Season 2 stuff.
  3. And now people will be hooked on the story and will stick around (for the most part) to see the rest of the story as it's released in 2016.
  4. For the most part, I've dropped $40 or so every time a new Hypercrate was released. My legacy has Legend status for all of the CM Reputations. I will not be spending any more money on packs of any sort until changes are made. It's not a whine or a threat, just a declaration that the system as it is now set up is not worth spending money on. My CCs are now waiting on the possibility of a holiday sale on collection unlocks. I enjoyed receiving a handful of items. A bunch of them were junk, but at least I got little things like emotes or regeneration items that were nice. As it stands now, you keep adding armor sets to the BSG packs, which dilutes your chances of getting what you want. I'd rather have a different amount of chance in a more focused pool of options. What would make the Shipment packs more valuable? Ditch the companion rewards. Consumables should never be tied to those packs. It means we're really only getting one item we might care abut. Guarantee an armor lootbox for each pack, then the mount, decorations, companions and R&Rs can be in a pool for the second item. Or switch it up any other way, but don't try to sell us on meaningless and consumable items like companion rewards. Supercrates are a joke. 5% reduction? Make it 10% like the Hypercrate. 5% isn't going to sway my purchasing decisions in any way, form or fashion. I'd also prefer armors to be sold through the Cartel Market more often. Sell me the most desired armors at a greater cost and make them BoP.
  5. I would think if something like this were to happen it would be tied to account activity, not certain characters.
  6. Yeah, I'm less concerned about what the previously obtained gear will be in 4.0, and more concerned about what doing the content in the future will reward. I know that the old gear will become 192 legacy gear that will be sub-par compared to what the 4.0 storyline will reward.
  7. Has a name purge happened yet, ever? I agree and can understand it, but we're too close to 4.0 to ask for it to be included. If it has never happened then the system to accomplish the task hasn't been created yet, and would take time to do so.
  8. Syncing everything on the planet avoids pockets of content of different levels on the same planet. This way, a level 18 isn't going to be killed in one shot on Republic Taris if he accidentally ends up in the Dread Seed area, but he still won't get the mission until he hits lvl50. Now if they add another reason to go back to Republic Taris you'll have content at 16-20, 50, 65, etc
  9. For all we know, the way they're changing the coding of the game for LevelSync completely changes things and making it an option is not feasible. It could be an issue of the developers not wanting to maintain different versions of the basic tenets of the game. But I did think of this before, making an optional mode that had to be toggled with a terminal at the Fleets. Where nothing would agro you, but you'd be unable to do pretty much anything that would be easier to do without LevelSync.
  10. It won't be that bad. In 4.0 all you have to do is the story Class missions and the Planetary missions, which gives you enough xp to move on to the next planet. You can skip the Planetary quests if you want, but you'll have to find a way to replace that lost xp. So you'll still be able to progress on the back of the story line for the most part.

    It's simple...

Most people that complain will end up just dealing with it. Some will quit. Some will play but stop subscribing for a while. In the end I think a lot of this is overblown. Vocal minority. If some of these changes to the periphery really upset you, then you've probably been playing too long and need a good break anyway.
  12. In theory it's not, but if you read the OP's second sentence, it's designed to elicit responses about the changes being made to this game. There's already tons of other threads for complaining or praising.
