  1. Cool, I've been landing on about that, but ill try to really make it a pvp norm for myself. I guess on PT it's easier to skirt along the sidelines and blow things up without getting targeted. I watched the pvp carnage vid floating around the first/second page and that helped too. Thanks for the advice.
  2. So I have a 49 Mara and I suck at pop. I'm used to topping the boards with my PT (which is fairly faceroll + taunt helps) - but I just get rolled with Mara and I don't feel I put out dps well. I've tried both carnage and lolsmash - I searched around the board but couldn't find good tutorials or anything. Any advice? We are good in pop right? I'm looking to learn to become good, but it's hard to know what I'm doing wrong.
  3. Hi, I've been playing a for bit now and have several 30's and 40's. I like playing solo a good portion of the time, and only recently discovered how much a well geared companion helps. My question is about end game and companion gearing. Are there a lot of things you can do (dailies, etc.) that can be used to gear companions (other than just GTN buying gear), or is it pretty hard? Does anyone have experience they might be able to share as to how this works end game? Is there a -big- advantage to classes that share gear with their companions? For example a trooper (everyone uses aim), as opposed to a sith warrior (willpower and cunning would be what I'd want). Any advice/end game thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. so i just saw the level 20 pvp gear ... ***. What gear can we get that doesn't look like a dude running around in a padded pillow suit?
  5. Sure, but if sins become known are really good tanks ... maybe there will be a big stigma for anyone who doesn't tank? I guess this would also depend on our damage. If we do top tier damage then it's no big deal.
  6. I've played a lot of mmos and I've already understood class roles as "if you can heal or tank people are going to make you." I hate tanking. I really like my sin so far. Based on people's experience will you get grief in pugs/raids/etc., for not tanking? Thanks, and apologies if this has been answered all over this forum.
  7. Sorry if this has been done to death here - but I wasn't finding it well on a search. Pretty much title says it all. I like my jugg more than a mara, but I'm afraid of being laughed at/forced into tanking. Is this a problem? Can I be a dps jugg for pugs, etc? Thanks
  8. "Learn to play" is "don't bother trying to kill 2/3 of the builds in the game" ... I think we can be a little more productive than that.
  9. Thanks. Sounds good, I was looking at a jugg for my lightsaber dude for better survive-ability, but I'll defiantly re-spec and try (mad atm). Seems like I may just have to accept that I won't be soloing 3 even level elites at once like my merc can .
  10. I played a merc and a sorc to 30, but decided if I was going to play in the starwars universe I wanted a lightsaber... So I made a sin. I problem is I feel really (really) weak. I'm having a lot of trouble beating equal level elites for the quests. I have pretty good gear (pvp weapon) and equal level/modded gear. Really, level 19, trying to kill a level 18 elite and getting owned. Any advice here?
