  1. However at high level artificing you can craft lightsabers which have a chance to crit. I don't have a screenshot but the lightsaber I'm using is a level 50 moddable saber which I crit on. This gives the weapon a suffix [Exceptional] and adds an augment slot making it arguably the best in slot item if you can acquire the right modifications to surpass the currently available gear from pvp/operations.
  2. AFAIK these have not yet been implemented in game. I've cleared all content with the exception of a couple of OPS bosses on nightmare and have yet to see a single artifice pattern drop in an operation. I'm guess this will be implemented at a later day. Much to my disappointment.
  3. I was under the impression that hard mode was suppose to have a chance to drop Rakata gear whereas nightmare was guaranteed. Perhaps I was misinformed but this might explain it; you guys were simply unlucky and didn't have rakata drop. Did Columni drop instead?
  4. Actually this isn't what concerns most people. The vast majority of the people with Rakata weapons have cleared all the content on hard mode if not nightmare; they don't care about 6 more damage. The problem is that the double-colored lightsabers which are obviously intended as a status symbol (if not why would they be so rare and hard to obtain) are current unusable and the "fix" should be relatively simple. This game, like so many other mmo's, is based upon a gear race and as such the top level gear shouldn't be plagued with a bug that is so ridiculously easy to fix. At the very least people are asking for acknowledgement that this is a problem and will be addressed possibly with some information such as whether they should wait to trade in the token to ensure they get the right gear once the fix goes through. Undoubtedly someone will respond with "well BW shouldn't worry about the 1%..." but for some people this is the reason they spend a lot of time on this game and it's a legitimate concern from that perspective.
  5. Something you could try is get the boss to like 5% then have the people who don't need gear hit exit area and the remaining member who do need loot finish him off. This should ensure that only they get loot possibly. Some people might cry "exploit" but I'll stick with clever use of game mechanics to supplement an incredible oversight on BW's part.
  6. Supply and demand. I was the first on my server to get it and while I charged a lot less than I've heard of being charged on some servers it was far from cheap at the beginning. Keep in mind that it's about a 20% drop rate of belsavis boss (based on personal experience and seeing 5 different patterns drop) so over time more and more people will have the patterns dropping the price significantly.
  7. I've been lurking in this thread for a while and thought I'd add my two cents. I know there has been a lot of discussion about the in-game ticket that supposedly confirmed the existence of the white crystal in-game however please keep in mind that the in-game support might not have all the facts. Based on prior experience with other MMO's the support people have very limited knowledge not only about the specifics on things in game but also general knowledge about the game as well. My point is that the customer service rep that the person talked to might have seen that there was a white crystal in the database (as it has been listed on many data mining sites since beta) but did not realize that the means to acquire it isn't currently in game. Additionally I would think that will all the chatter and comments from people that Bioware would make an official comment on this thread or in the forums if it was in fact in game. Of course saying that it isn't currently implemented would just lead to mass QQ so better to leave it to guess work until they implement it in a future patch. Having said all that I know I will continue to look and will be keeping a close eye on this thread. Thanks to everyone who's been posting solid information and hopefully we can get a lead soon.
  8. Having an open faction choice would be nice but would have required such a decision earlier in the game development I'm sure whereas I think this suggestion wouldn't be too too hard to code in. Although I could be wrong about that.
  9. I know other people have mentioned this before but I had a few moments so I thought I'd post my thoughts here to see what other people think. Bugs, glitches, and other solvable problems aside one of my main concerns for this game is the massive population imbalance on my server (and from what I've seen on the forums on other servers as well). The imbalanced population can and does lead to completely non-existent world pvp and many people either re-rolling or simply dropping the game. Suggestion: I would love for BW to add a betrayal quest chain for level 50s who basically want to switch sides in the war. This isn't unheard of within canon and would help fix population imbalances without making people reroll. Know I know that other games have offered paid faction changes and other features for a surcharge however if this was implemented in game within the storyline it would add another dimension to the storyline while helping to solve the problem of population imbalance. Obviously there is the concern that such a mission would enhance and not solve the population imbalance issue to which end I have some suggestions. It could be coded into the game where there was an NPC which would start the quest however the quest would only be available if the server detected an imbalance within a given threshold. Furthermore, there should be something like a 24 hour waiting period between the beginning of the quest and the finishing which would to allow large groups of people to try and faction change together. With such a delay if multiple people attempted to change but found that one person wasn't able to because the server balance threshold was met then everyone in the group could cancel the transfer. There should also be a cooldown of 1-3 months preventing people from rapidly switching sides although this shouldn't be needed if the threshold coding is done correctly. Now some might ask why anyone would want to change sides however there is many advantages which I think people would take advantage of if the opportunity presented itself. Furthermore, I think that this should be implemented in game and not for an outside transaction fee to foster proper faction balance and improve the overall quality of life on the servers at no additional cost to the players. After all we want a quality product and a populated world to play in so why should it cost us extra. If other people have ideas or suggestions please feel free to chime in. Thanks for reading and sorry if it was overly wordy but I thought a clearly expanded upon idea would be more useful than a short half thought-out idea.
  10. Wonderful, and I've yet to see a comment on this from BW. I'd just be happy to know they're working on it or perhaps an eta so I know if we should delay our ops until later in the week. Thanks for the response and gl in your ops.
  11. Did you get all the loot off SoA? There appears to be some problems with loot in EV currently which my guild and a couple of others have experienced...
  12. Yeah we killed Gharj and Pylon boss last night in nightmare mode and only received schematics/1 enhancement from Gharj and 1 schematic from jungle boss. I ticketed the problem and received a common form letter reply "ticket escalated you won't hear anything else". I have to say that I'm losing patience with the in-game support. While I understand that bugs are unavoidable at this stage in the game there really should be some sort of reimbursement or at the very least let me actually talk to a game master instead of being told I'm SOL in a form letter.
  13. The only artifice patterns I've seen drop are the ones from the Belsavis world boss for the Magenta crystals. The this is absurd and I hope that 1.1 will fix it because if it wasn't for having the only pattern for the Magenta crystal +power on the server I would have dropped artificing for biochem already; like everyone else in the game.
