Nerfherders is a newly established Imperial guild whose focus is creating a friendly and supportive PvE environment. We were established less than a month ago, but we already have more than 200 members, many of whom are active every day. We've overcome the first challenge every guild goes through, which is forming a core group of social players who enjoy spending time together - there'll always be someone online whom you can play with. Now we're facing the next challenge as a PvE guild, which is forming a core group of raiders that can progress through hardmode and nightmare content. We believe that since we're a new guild, you have a unique opportunity to make an impression on the structure of our raiding team, and ultimately help us make the guild as competitive as possible without losing our social touch.
In terms of raid members we're currently primarily recruiting one new tank and a couple of healers so we can form an 8-man team. The only requirement we have is that your item rating is at least 236 - we've purposely kept the requirement for joining simple, as we'd much rather have you join one of our raids, and get a feeling for who you are, rather than have you write out an essay that may not reflect what type of player you are.
The primary challenge we're facing at the moment is finding an experienced raid leader. I strongly believe this person has one of the most important roles in any raiding guild, as their personality and leadership methodology reflects what type of raid members they'll retain. We've therefore chosen to prioritize finding the right fit for the guild, rather than promote someone who has the necessary experience, but lacks the right personality type. The person we're looking for is someone who has a mature, hands-off approach to leadership, and who can clearly articulate instructions and demands to our members. Communication should be the primary focus of any applicant. The person we're looking for should also be engaged in the community, and consider the fact that we're newly established as an opportunity rather than a drawback. The disadvantage of this is obvious, as it will require more work, but it also gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of the type of team you want to create.
